I have never been so compelled to write a review after my visit last Sunday (3/27/11) to Kessler's in Brookfield. I walked in (while my soon to be husband was running errands) and started peering into the cases to look for a diamond band as we were looking to spend some serious money on a stand alone diamond band. Granted, all sales associates were busy ; however, two gals behind the service counter were just standing there chatting with each other. It was obvious I was waiting for assistance, but after at least 15 minutes, I asked for help and was rudely told that all sales associates were busy and I'd have to wait. OK, they could have offered me water, cofffee (the coffee stand was right there) and/oir told politely ask me to wait for a sale associate. Instead, I felt like I was bothering those two gals to ask for help; Soon after that, a couple walks in (male/female) and they are immediately given assistance! I may not have ""looked"" like I was going to spend some money (I was in my ski coat in lieu of my normal ""professional attire"", it was the weekend) or whatever their deal was for not offering me assistance was unreal especially given the current state of the market. Regardless of my appearance or being a ""solo"" female, I should have been offered the same courtesy as any other potential customer! Well, we did find a gorgeous almost three carat band at Dick Powers' downtown and their customer service, genuine kindness and willingness to offer best prices are clearly beyond anything this large ""chain"" is cable of offering.
