Kenny Speed's Tire and Performance Center

I brought my car down to Kenny's to be repaired. I authorized them to do certain work to my vehicle. They had my car for a total of a week to do a head job which is 6 hours of labor. They had to send out a few parts that took two to three days to get back. In the course of the repairs they were authorized to do they "came across" some other "problems" including a thermostat that was replaced the day the car was brought into the shop. I was never called and asked if I wanted the work to be done on the car I was never asked if I wanted my brand new thermostat to be replaced. I had to call this shop daily to find out what the status of my vehicle was. Finally after 3 days of the car being in the shop they quote me a price of $1300.00 2 days later they finally finish the work still don't call me to let me know the vehicle is done and when I do arrive to pick the car up they tell me that the new price is going to be $1500.00. yestday i went to kenny speed's for a second opinion on some vibration i*ve been having with my car! i took my car to pepboys assuming i had a tire issue and figured i could get it fixed under warranty. instead iwas told that i needed a cv axle and a tranny as well as being quoted $250 for the the axle and the labor. the tech at pepboys suggested i get a second opinion tho! the following day i jumped on the net to search for automotive repair shops and found kenny speed's. they have the best reviews and their customers have been with them for years. very impressed i drove my car down there and they immediately took it right in when i walked in the door! very friendly people too! they took they*re time, test drove my car to make sure to identify the issue its self and came back with great news! there was no need to replace my cv axle my issue was a tire! even tho* pepboys checked my tires, rotated them, and balanced them, i was told that they were fine! kenny speed's didn*T over look a thing and found a flat spot on my tire in the tread that was causing this horrible vibration, which had all of a sudden moved from the front to the back of the car, obviously since they rotated my tires! these people saved me $250 that i really can not afford! my car was about to have some serious transmission work all over a tire! good to know tho* that that $250 cv axle at pepboys would have cost me $100 LESS at kenny speed's. this place is great! infact today i*m goin* back to get an alignment. my thought going to kenny speed's was that i was gonna leave there broke and bummed but at least my car would be running instead i left there knowing that i just needed to replace my tire which cost me $50 and that i could do the alignment too seeing has both repairs still cost less then my original quote! definately gonna use this shop in the future if it means driving across town to do so. thanx guys for all ur help! more

He fixes it and gets us back on the road, back to making money. We have been using them for years and years. My dad used them too, so it has been awhile. I work in a machine shop, and I have probably got half the guys there to use Kenny Speed's Tire and Performance. I recommend them to everybody. I want to be treated fairly, and Kenny has always treated me fairly. Everyone I have sent over has been treated fairly. He does everything on my vehicle. He was recommended to me in 2006 by an engineer in the shop I work. Kenny Speed's Tire and Performance has done everything from brakes, to tires, to simple things like oil changes. It is the only place I go. I just look to be treated fairly, and Kenny will give you a fair shake. Everything is done in a timely manner. He is not the kind of guy to sell you parts you don't need. He is very fair and honest. more

These guys are great. I go to them first before anyone else and unlike the BMW lady, I disagree wholeheartedly. I been there on a few different occasions. Most recently was when I needed to get a rear knuckle fixed on my mitsubishi. The car swayed anytime I hit a bump or pothole on the freeway. I bought a used part for them to use since the delearship wants to much for new. They had to custom fit a bracket on since the part I gave them was a little different but they didnt even charge me for that! How awesome! Anyways, months later the car runs better than when I first bought it because of them. If you want a good honest family ran type business who WONT rip you off...go see these guys. The person with BMW never asked was charged for or was told we did an alignment .We don't even do alignments on BMW because the won't go on our rack . They are to low . We did recomend a few places for her to take it for an alignment .My guess is she didn't do that and wants to blame us .She also never mentioned the check engine light and it is not normal to check for check engine light problems during a oil change . Had she said any thing we would have been happy to check it for a diag fee of 45.00 . We are the kind of shop that trys to sell you everything in the world when you come in for a oil change. I recently purchase a BMW and took it in to have the tires replaced. They had very bad and unusual wear and the alignment was off. They replaced the tires and claimed to do the alignment. When it came time for my next oil change I decided to see how the tire were doing. They were destroyed! The tech never checked the alignment and the tires had the exact same wear pattern. I took it back and when they actually checked the alignment the found the previous owner had actually bent a piece of the front end! Even worse I still had to pay for the new tires. \r \r While I was getting the tire problem solved I also asked for an oil change. This time the tech missed a service engine light and a major emissions problem that was found when I went to get the car inspected. While Kenny is nice his mechanics seem to be incompetent. more
