I have worked as a receptionist at Julian Hans Salon for the past two and a half years. I am relocating to New York to further pursue my education. You will not find a salon anywhere else where the owners, stylists and receptionists are so professionally trained and have such a passion for what they do. Everyone at this salon cares so much about their clients and their happiness. It's not just clients happiness at this salon, it's happiness in general. Every time I walked into work I would be greeted by Rosemary and her contagious smile, and as I would walk through the salon, I was welcomed by my co-workers smiles and good attitudes. I am hairstylist , who starting in the industry working at Julian Hans.Saverio trains his stylist one on one threw the most intense training I have ever seen.I learned more in one day with him than a year in another salon.His stylists know what they are doing , trust me I know.There cutting and color is more advanced than any salon I have seen.I have been in many salons since working for them, and by far was it the best experience working for them.They are a family and care about there employees and clients.Your hair comes first its all about the health.Trust your stylist they know what they are saying. When I told other salons the training Saverio took me threw and the stuff I learned ,they would look at me shocked. Like they would never take the time to do that.It just shows how much they care about your hair ,that they take the time to educate. more

Always a great experience at the Julian Hans Salon. Saverio is an outstanding stylist. I have tried several salons and many stylist in the past and often left feeling unsatisfied. It is clear that Saverio is passionate about hair. He is very knowledgeable and is sure to educate each and everyone of his clients. When I first went to Saverio my hair was damaged and unhealthy. For the past 6 weeks I have used the products that Saverio suggested and my hair is shiny and smooth! I finally understand hair and what makes it look outstanding! I couldn't be happier. The prices are great and you get the biggest bang for your buck! After seeing the difference in my hair, my sister has decided to drive over an hour to see Saverio! I know she will not be sorry. I have been Ziba's client for 10 years. She is the best. She makes my hair look amazing and teaches me how to care for it.The entire staff are very nice and make me feel very special, like I'm their most welcome guest. I have been a client of Ziba's for over 20 years. She is always ready with suggestions and listens to whatever I have to say. We have gone from long to short to mid length and every color too. I live in L.A. and after 7 years here, after trying all kinds of salons (even the supposed ""best"" celebrity salons in Beverly Hills) and my hair was not looking good but in fact quite fried and unflattering, a friend of mine recommended this salon and specifically-NATHAN! I finally decided to make the trip down and WOW! It was soooo worth it! He is a dream hairstylist---he always strives for absolute perfection and seriously cares for every inch of my hair as if I MUST look my best at all times and you can tell that it is sincerely very important to him that I look the best that I possibly could (every appt is like your wedding day with Nathan)!!! (And of course that's why my friend adored him too!) He also is really honest about what will look best on me with such a caring heart that when you are under his care you feel like he is getting you ready for the red carpet even if you're just rushing in on your day off!!! He is very knowledgeable about every aspect of hair, the health of it, how to make it the best longer and how to practically fit your dream hair into your lifestyle (e.g. he knows I'm a career woman and can't spend hours on treatments at home, so he makes it simple and still loves me if I mess up!)....When I walked in there with my fried hair, he gave me really great lessons on how to take better care of it AND when my husband called me on my cell and joked that maybe I could use some help on taking care of my hair, when I asked Nathan to reassure my hubby I'm in good hands now, Nathan even talked to my husband about what I could do to take care of it and help me look my best! On my first visit there, my girlfriend who referred me met me there and I'm telling you---we were both amazed--he transformed my hair and I felt like a new person! Seriously girls (and gents!), he is AMAZING and run, don't walk to see him and make him your hairstylist NOW--you won't regret it!!! Oh and P.S., the staff there helping out are all so kind and genuine and you feel like family there...it's always a pleasant experience that makes it a great trip from L.A.---totally worth it ladies!!! more

I have had my hair colored and cut by Saverio at Julian Hans Salon for many years. The staff is so professional, courteous, helpful, friendly, and extremely considerate of their clients. They spend the time with you to understand whay you want done and provide you with the best possible experience. I love the treatments as it gives me time to just close my eyes and relax. The scalp massage when they wash your hair is marvleous and so stimulating. Each stylist is different, but they are all very well-trained so you know that whoever washes out your color or applies your color will be well qualified. more

I called the salon desperate to have my color corrected--it was RUINED by an inept stylist at a supposedly high -end salon (Carlton) in MV mall. My naturally medium blond hair had dark blackish patches in the front, bright yellow roots and uneven color all over. After I explained to the very friendly receptionist that I started a new job on Monday, she fit me in on Friday afternoon. My stylist Brittany was so sweet! She consulted with me and another colorist to figure out the best plan that would give me better color without frying my hair. She put in a deep conditioner, multicolored highlights and a golden wash. I went in looking like a freaky home coloring ""don't"" and left a couple hours later with smooth, shiny dark blond, sun-streaked hair, even all over. A huge bonus was the reasonable charge of $145. I know other salons charge upwards of $200 for color correction like this. Brittany told me the charges up front so there was no anxiety about the bill as she worked. Everyone in the salon was cheery and supportive. I will definitely go back to Brittany FOREVER and I will recommend this salon to everyone I know. The owners should be proud of their employees--they are ALL professional, polite and competent and make that salon exactly the way a salon should be. I LOVE IT! more

My name is Helene. I just returned from my first vist at Julian Hans Salon and couldn't get to the computer quick enough to write this review. My stylist was Saverio and I can't thank him enough. The salon was upbeat, with a mixture of clientele; the staff is delightful, friendly and clearly excited about their work. Saverio, what can I say? I came in a frumpy ""mature"" woman, with long hair and no style and left still ""mature"" but feeling great, with a new style and happy I stumbled across the Salon. Saverio listened to me, understood that I feel secure with my longer hair and designed a style just for me. He layered my locks but there is no sign of the layers and amazing job. I would definitely go back and I would encourage anyone who is looking to try a new look to check out Julian Hans Salon. I can't imagine anyone coming out of there disappointed. more

My name is Tara and I am currently a stylist at Julian Hans Salon but unfortunately not for much longer. I will be moving out of state very soon and I thought it would be great to give a review on the salon so that you can get a feel for what goes on behind the scenes. First of all, I must say that I feel very fortunate to have found this place. Had it not been for Saverio taking me under his wing and putting me through extensive training, I would have given up on the beauty industry entirely. Now, I absolutely LOVE what I do and have such an understanding for hair. Our haircutting is so precise and balanced and the hair coloring is top notch. I've gone to numerous Redken classes with the team and have learned so much. You can be sure that we have the latest training and techniques out there. As a matter of fact, we just added the ""Brazilian Blow Out"" to our salon menu. After much researching and testing, we decided it was safe to use on your hair and the results were beautiful. Our main priority is the health of your hair. You can be at ease knowing that you will never walk out of this salon with damaged hair. Actually, you will leave the salon with healthier hair than when you first walked in. The team is absolutely amazing. We pride ourselves in customer service and proffessionalism. You will get VIP treatment from the moment you walk through the door. People always stop me and say they love my hair, even at Stater Bros.!! I love my haircuts and hair color. It is very difficult to get the color you like or want and at Julian Hans you will get exactly what you ask for. I had a traumatic experience at another salon where the stylist/owner butchered my hair. I called Julian Han as soon as I got home from the other salon and made an appt for the same day. I was set up with Nathan and he fixed the botched job and my hair looks awesome. Nathan was very friendly, helpful and absolutely knew what he was doing. He made sure I was comfortable by explaining everything he was doing and the reason's why. I walked out of there feeling confident and with another appointment to see Nathan in a few months! I found this salon through another site's searchengine, but thought I should make a post here as well. This salon is fantastic! I get my hair dyed red, which is really hard to do properly, and the coloring that I get here is amazing. I've been to the salon two times so far and had my hair done by Tara. She found a really great shade to compliment my hair/skin/face and was super nice and wonderful. I've had people ask me about my hair and I have given out cards to the salon. I don't think I'll ever go to another salon again. : ) Pros: Wonderful staff, clean salon more

I've been going to Julian Hans now for about 6 months, but I wish I would have found it sooner. Tara does my hair and I am always so thrilled with the result. Every time I sit in the chair, I ask her to surprise me. She does a great job of making my hair unique and creative and each time I go, it comes out a little different. I have always gotten bored easily with my hairstyle and have rarely found a stylist I will go to consistently, but I look forward to seeing Tara and seeing what she's going to do next. I love that I can just trust and know that she will always make my hair look as sassy as I feel. Thanks, Tara. Also, the other staff members are so genuinely kind and accommodating.
