Julian Hans Salon is a true gem. Having lived in southern and central coast CA and in Chicago, I have been to my share of hair salons! Never have I been to one where I felt valued more as a person and not just a client. When you enter the salon you become a part of the family and are taken care of with amazing hospitality. All the stylists, not just your own, are friendly and know your name. The front desk receptionist is always friendly and attentive, making the visit relaxing from start to finish. more

My color has never looked better, and my cuts are easy to care for on my own. Darcy's excellent work gets me lots of compliments and she's educated me about my hair and the products that get the most out of my hair. The staff is always welcoming and relaxed,and their hospitality makes every visit rejuvenating. I've referred my friends with confidence and they've been just as happy as I have. The quality of the work would make it easy to drive 20 - 30 minutes, but even the salon's location in the Laguna Hills Mall is conveniently close to my home. I must say I've never had a better experience at a hair salon in my life. Not only did I leave with the color and cut that I wanted (better than I thought it would look by the way), My stylist Saverio even customized my look to make sure it flattered and suited me. Not only was my hair gorgeous, Saverio even educated me on the condition of my hair and taught me things that I never would have known otherwise. I thought it was great that he didn't just do his work, he told me what he was doing and why he was doing it. It was nice to know what was going on without having to hope it turns out good. i have been going to julian hans salon on and off for about 15 years. i needed to get my hair done for thanksgiving and called on mon. to book an appt. fri. was the best offer but rosemary, got me in on wed. i go to sevario and he is the best. i went from brown to blond and my hair looks beautiful! i also got the best haircut and some tips from sevario on how to properly straighten my hair. after 35 years in the business he still gets excited about doing hair. if you want a family friendly salon that goes out of their way to make you feel welcome then give julian hans a try, i promise you it will be the best choice you make. more

I can honestly say this is the best salon I have ever been to and trust me I've been to my share of salons. I'm 25 and have been getting my hair cut and colored since I was about 12. I am very picky about my hair. I like it very blonde (no gold what so ever) and I like it in a very dramatic angled bob. I have heard that this is a very haircut to do but I went and saw Yvonne and she did my hair absolutely perfect! I've never been so happy walking out of a salon. Usually it takes me awhile to adjust with a new haircut being able to style it at home but the next day I was able to style it just how I wanted it, if that isn't a sign of an amazing haircut I don't know what is. more

I love to go to Julian Hans Salon because I always get a first class treatment then I sit back just being taking care with my favorite artist Savario. His creation just like art when I walk out I always get the compliments from the passers by! more

Went to Julian Hans for the first time yesterday looking for a better salon experience. I definitely found it at Julian Hans! Everyone was very friendly and made me feel like a special customer. Love Savario love the salon. My hair was really damaged from a bad salon I went too ( they over bleached). After only 2 times going to Saviro my hair has never been healthier. One day while at Lake Mission Viejo, a woman with a super cute hairstyle walked my way. The style was perfect for her. I had to stop her and ask, ""Who is your stylist?"" She told me about Savario at Julian Hans Salon. Off I went and have stayed for over six years. Savario has a great eye for what will work for your unique features and hair type. He does an amazing job each time. I always know I am going to love my hair and have an easy time styling it. I followed his advice on hair products and I now have shiny, healthy hair. I have brought my sister and two daughters to Savario all with great results. He is simply the BEST! I recently moved to the OC and left my beloved hairdresser behind in Connecticut. Oh the woes of finding someone to cut my hair who listens and works with my hair not against it. I read the reviews of Julian Hans here on Citysearch and decided to give them a try. Well, to say I am happy is an understatement. Saverio listened, cut very carefully, worked with my wavy, obstinate hair and gave me a cut that was easy to work with and grew out beautifully. I just had my second cut and it is great. After my first visit I received a card, an e-mail and a phone call...what great follow-up! I was also asked by Rosemary if my visit had met my expectations. I have NEVER been asked this in a hair salon. I highly recommend Julian Hans to anyone who wants an excellent experience at the hairdresser. more

I finally let Saverio color my hair and I am so happy I did! He is a person who takes alot of pride in his work and his work ethics are superb. His wife, Rosemary, is the friendliest person working the front desk. She is great! Yvonne blew dried my hair and she is very nice and professional as is the rest of the staff! If anyone needs a haircut, color or perm, stop in at the Laguna Hills Mall and you will be treated very good but most of all, whatever you get done, you will like it!! more

In Julian Hans Salon I found not only amazing people but Professional Hairstylist who make sure their clients get the best service and a Great Experience .Saverio is the Creative Director he did my haircut , I enjoyed every aspect of my service from the consultation ,the shampoo , scalp massage , haircut and style out ,the way how he explains how to style my own hair and how to use the products to achieve the look that I want . The Recepcionist are very nice and efficient they welcome me and offer a beverage then when I checked out they gave me a gift a nice envelop with my Name on it .I got complements for my haircut the same day!!! I love this place and I highly recommend it !! more

Excellent salon for those who wish to have their hair professionally groomed and then be able to walk away and duplicate the style yourself until your next visit! I began with Saverio approximately 8 months ago. I have only had 3 stylists in the last 40 years but I needed someone who understood the workings of my difficult hair. I walked in, waited approxmimately 15 minutes until he completed his client's hair and then we spoke. He LISTENED while I explained what I wanted to do. He then gave me his opinion, did not pressure me into making an appointment and just said to let him know if I wanted him to do my hair or if I wished to have one of his other stylists do it (he is more expensive of course!). I liked him immediately and made the appointment. Never been sorry! From the first appointment to present, he does not change. He says ""talk to me"" when I walk in to find out what my needs are and I speak of change of styles and he gives opinions and we go from there. Yes, he does put hair products on his station that is prudent to my type of hair; however, it is only as a reminder in the event I am running low. NO PRESSURE whatsoever to purchase. Everyone smiles, asks if I would like coffee, tea or water or refills. It is one of the most pleasant atmospheres to be in for a few hours! The bookings are geared to your needs which means time is taken with each client. Saverio is so passionate about his work, his stylists and his salon and how everything must be A+ at all times. Even washing your hair includes extra time so you may have the massage that begins the relaxation of your total experience! You have to love how the client is the # 1 priority at ALL times. The fact they have not moved from the LH Mall for over 18 years tells you how well thought of they are in Orange County as well as by Redken! It is a training center for new as well as those stylists who want refresher training. Bottom line, there are more than one good stylists to select from but if you want the professional who will work hard to make you happy, listen to your opinion and then be the consummate professional to help you feel like you are the only one at that point in time, walk in and speak to Rosemary, Saverio, or any of the other stylists and you will understand why I am so high on this salon. One last thing. I always get a friendly reminder via email and then a call from Rosemary two days prior.
