We used Jordan River Moving to help move my old mother . These guys had me out of my place in an hour, drove to my new place and had everything unpacked in around 50 minutes. Not...

Bottom line: Jordan river moving is the best in Kirkland. I called 2 other movers and received higher quotes and I went with Jordan because of the price but also because they had moved a few others into my new building. I figured they knew the lay of the land and it would make it easier. It actually helped a lot. Not only did they finish on-time (they had a strict 9-12 move in time) but the quote was pretty much dead on. Sean was always very cordial on the phone and the service felt very personal. The movers were extremely professional and all delicate items were treated with care. I hope I don't have to move again...but if I do, I'm gonna go with Jordan River Moving again. more

Good experience 8/28/2011

Jordan Moving and Storage was recommended to us by our friends. With our impending move, we needed all the help we could get through the sales people when we contacted them. They gave a reasonable quote and we went with him. Although their guys showed up 15 mins late, they moved quickly and efficiently and the way they wrapped the furniture was simply amazing!! Pleasant to work with and reasonably priced and they definitely don't slack off! Kudos! more

Capable and Honest Movers 8/21/2011

I had never moved by myself before, and I was concerned about finding honest, capable movers. I was moving from a house to a second floor apartment across town. Three guys came and were able to disassemble and reassemble two large complicated furniture pieces in good time, as well as move all my other furniture. Jordan River Moving and Storage provided wardrobe boxes that I was able to pack myself while they loaded their truck with everything else. They maneuvered my large couches in small places and were very nice and friendly. I was so thrilled at how smoothly everything went, and in the middle of summer! The cost was very reasonable compared to what I was expecting. I didn't have too many boxes or a huge amount of furniture, but I still thought the price was fair and reasonable. I highly recommend Jordan River Moving and Storage company for any type of move. more

Highly Recommended 8/12/2011

I highly recommend Jordan movers. I needed to move quickly and Sean was able to help me out for the day I wanted. I requested an AM move, rather than a PM move and Sean worked to accommodate me. The move included a pick-up and my place, a pick up at my storage unit, and a pick-up and my boyfriends place with final delivery to our new home. On moving day, 3 very polite and hard working guys turned up on time and ready to get down to business. [Here I will give myself some credit for actually being packed up and ready for them to move me.] The 3 men assessed the items to move and got right to work. All furniture was wrapped in plastic and then blanketed - no damage to anything. All my hanging clothes were put into wardrobe boxes which Sean provided at no charge. When we moved on to my boyfriend's place, they actually beat me there in their big truck - no messing around. At the final destination, all boxes and furniture were place exactly where I wanted. Sean estimated a 3-4 hour jobs and they guys completed it in 3 because they were focused and working non-stop. Again, absolutely nothing broken or damaged. I recommend Jordan River Moving. more

Extraordinary Movers 8/6/2011

Spectacular. I had piled my stuff into my living room so it would be ready to go when the movers arrived. After meeting them outside (prompt arrival) I ran upstairs to get something I forgot, ran downstairs, and my living room was empty.\r \r Seriously, Speedy Gonzalez meets Monk and you have Jordan River Moving. (Is that right? I've never watched Monk. I mean it as a compliment to their precision and attention to detail though.) Extraordinarily neat, efficient, strong, and they made me laugh on the ride. And major props for hauling my mattress up four floors. I remember moving that mattress by myself across my living room one time, and I cried like a baby. I will recommend Jordan River Moving to all my friends.\r more

Efficient Moving Company 8/6/2011

No one likes to move, but having Jordan River Moving & Storage helped us this past weekend certainly took the edge off. The team was beyond careful and their diligence, professionalism and care for our apartment move really impressed me. They packed our entire house, so well that not ONE item was broken. They were also great guys and I would not hesitate to use their services again. more

Humble and Loving Movers 8/5/2011

WAY TO EASY!!!! I called. They gave the estimate. They showed up on time. Packed my stuff. Motivated me when I was losing steam. And when it was over the bill was WAY lower than I had anticipated. \r \r Thank you guys so much! You guys listened to what I needed done....and motivated me when I started to slack. \r \r This was a complicated move made easy. And yes, the guys that show up are easy on the eyes! more

Realiable and Reasonable Movers 7/19/2011

Jordan River Moving is so awesome! Worth every penny!!\r \r I have used them twice and both experiences have been nothing short of perfect! Not only are they very respectful with your belongings, they are upfront with any and all costs (which are reasonable), they are friendly and kind, always prompt and on time, and are so flexible! For example, I found out the day before I was scheduled to move that I had to be out that night! In a panic, I called Jordan River Moving and they saved me by bumping my appointment up a day and booked me as a third job that very same day! Despite being exhausted, they were still so friendly and respectful of my things! They truly take pride in performing their job perfectly!\r \r I wouldn't move without them! Thanks so much!!\r more

intellegent movers 7/16/2011

these guys are great! I'm relocating out of state and am storing my things there. At first I was going to ship my things with a ltl shipper but sean correctly pointed out that as they charge by weight, I'm going to get screwed when they weigh it. He put my things in a crate instead - saving me $20 and actually found some better alternatives for me. He also appeared with mattress bags and helped pack the crate in a more efficient way and put my daughter's prize mountainbike in a secure storage when i realized it wasn't packed! They're great, they helped out and continue to help with this crazy process and have never made me feel stupid- even though I really have never done this before and have been making some big errors. I would definitely recommend Jordan River Moving to anyone who needs to move. more

excellent movers 7/13/2011

i hate moving with some serious ferocious passion. moving SUCKS. especially when you hate your HOA of your new future home (but that's a whole other rant). thank goodness jordon river moving seriously made my actual move day easy, efficient, and awesome. before the move, they were very nice in accommodating my early start time. then when i had to push back my move date, they adjusted their schedule accordingly. they complied with all the annoying HOA requests from both my old place and new place. and they did the whole job in 2.5 hours! the movers were super nice, and simply made my day. nothing was broken and everything went as scheduled that day (which, when in moving hell, is such a blessing and a totally rare occurrence). thanks to sean and his team more

Reasonable Movers 7/8/2011

This is the first time I've ever used a moving company to move because I finally have enough stuff to justify it. I was thinking it would be very expensive and was prepared for it. Sean came by to do an estimate and estimated that it would cost $750. He said the guys would be at my old house at 8 am and be in the van on the way to the new place by 10 am. I thought, ""Yeah, right, that's impossible!"" Sean sent three men to my place to pack everything up and get it moved. They were there at 8 am on the dot. They packed up everything quickly, professionally, and perfectly!! And, they were in the van at 9:55 am! Everything was unpacked and in my new place before noon! And, they even had to completely break down my bed and build it back together again. These guys were fantastic! They were extremely professional, polite, courteous, and some of the hardest workers I've ever seen. The final cost came out to $725, only because I had some last minute stuff that wasn't boxed that they took care of for me. I was very impressed with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the staff. Also, the office staff and Sean were very professional, very helpful, and always made sure that all questions were answered and all concerns were addressed. Highly recommended!!!! more

I found Jordon River Moving from my friend. Sean and his team are absolutely as terrific. Sean is very accommodating and easy to work with. They were ready to work right on time. My furniture was handled with care and everything went very smoothly. This was the easiest move that I've ever had! The price was quite reasonable, too.\r \r Highly recommended!\r more

Great Movers 6/29/2011

Sean and his guys were fantastic. They worked like tasmanian devils to get a big job (all our piles of stuff - ok, maybe I need a few less hobbies with equipment and maybe get better at throwing things out...) moved quickly and at a very reasonable rate. They worked well with me and a friend to get the job done even quicker. Even with their speed, they were careful and everything arrived intact. There were some minor changes of plan, but they kept me appraised by cell phone. The only worry was avoiding the DPT and a double parking ticket, as the fine for a truck supposedly steep (didn't get one) Great job, guys, and THANKS!!!! more

Can you say chauvinist? 3/15/2011

I could not communicate with them because I am a woman and they rarely acknowledged me. Wouldn't do anything I said. Everything had to go via my husband, and he even had to get downright rude and aggressive to have things put where we wanted them. I have never been frustrated like this. Now I know. Can you imagine a whole day of the customer never being right...not even existing? more

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS! 2/15/2011

I've moved several times in my life and these are the worst movers I've ever encountered. They moved my things across the country. They were over two weeks late with zero communication. Every time I called it was a different excuse. The day they arrived, they were four hours ahead of schedule with no phone call and then were pissed because I wasn't at my house ready for them. I ended up getting into a yelling match with the movers. When I called their dispatch, I was told that they record all cell phone communications and reviewed my conversation and told me that the movers never yelled at me! Are you kidding me? They are the freakin' CIA or FBI. They aren't intercepting cell phone calls. \r \r This is the first review I've ever written. I just don't want others to have to experience this level of frustration. more

Super Wonderful Job Well Done! 2/2/2011

The young fellas showed up RIGHT ON TIME! They had great attitudes, worked very hard, and were very respectful of us and our property. This was the first move we have hired help for and Jordan River was worth every cent. It should also be known that the fellow in charge actually had a wonderful eye how things fit in a room. He actually placed items that we hadn't considered how they would sit, they are in the same place he left them. Thanks so much for taking care of us Jordan River.\r more

Worst movers ever 1/21/2011

WORST MOVERS EVER. We have been moving 7 times in 10 years, including once from oversees, the one with Jordan River has been the worst. We have moved our household from one house to another in the same city. The movers have been careless, we had many items broken : expensive Stressless armchair, headrest of the Stressless Sofa bended, screws for rebuilding the beds missing, mattresses full of dirty black fingerprints, lampshades squashed, picture glass frames broken, broken toys and a lot more. The company that moved us from Europe didn't break a single item. They were recommended by Microsoft, but choosing this company was a big mistake! more

Lost a human sized container without a trace. 1/10/2011

when you send boxes across the country you expect all of them to arrive at your door.\r \r they lost a 5' x 3' x 3' container. that is the size of a human being and they claimed ""it has never happened before""\r \r yet all they could do was submit it to their claims dept who would offer under $50 in reimbursement.\r \r they charge by weight, and only weigh once when it arrives at their facility. they dont reweigh when loading the truck to get to your home. so they cant even tell me if it left their facility.\r \r their movers also left behind packing blankets (which weigh upwards of 10 lbs a piece and they charge for that weight too) and failed to unwrap a dvd shelf that was found to be broken (had they kept their moving blankets they would have discovered the break (how convienient for them.)\r \r they are friendly on the phone but when you have a problem, they pass the buck.\r \r it is borderline criminal and someone out there has a large container of my items.\r \r they cant even tell me if they delivered it accidentally to another home on the way to my house.\r \r these people deserve to be homeless. more

Sloppy and Unprofessional 8/3/2010

Sloppy and unprofessional service! Would not use Jordan River again! Employees failed to properly wrap and protect valuable furniture. For example, they put plastic shrink wrap directly on the surface of a delicately lacquered Steinway piano, and they neglected to wrap and protect an expensive art wood coffee table. They ignored warnings on boxes of fragile items saying ?Top Load? or ?Fragile? and placed these boxes toward the bottom of heavy stacks of boxes, both on the truck and in the home upon delivery. They also ignored clear indications of where to take boxes upon delivery, leaving them in wrong locations. In their haste to leave, they placed many clearly marked boxes in the garage rather than bringing them into the house. I also found that they?d placed a heavy machine down on top of a fragile item in the garage. They drove off with my two wheel hand cart and left a pile of packing debris from their truck. When these facts were brought to the attention of management they summarily dismissed my complaint. I give this company an ?F? for service and concern for their customers! more
