What they don't tell you in their commercials is that the $69 drain clean special is only if your drain is not clogged. That's right. I called John Moore for a clogged toilet. The John Moore repairman came and quoted me a price of $132. I asked about the ""Famous John Moore Drain Clean Special"" of $69 and was told that the special is not for drains that are already clogged. It is to check your drain, but not clean your drain if it is already stopped up. He then told me that I really need their $369 drain inspection that uses a small camera to go into the drain and look for clogs. I turned it down. Then he took a tool with pinchers on one in, stuck it in the toilet and removed a piece of plastic. It took all of 20 seconds and I was out $132. Their work was good, but their advertising message is a scam which isn't needed and just makes for an angry customer. John Moore, just be honest with your advertising. more

After waiting for an entire day without water for a different plumber, John Moore's representative arrived within 30 minutes of my initial contact. Had various people working in my house...water heater installer, restoration workers, and initial evaluators. Every person was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Pricing was in line with other providers. I would definitely recommend them. more

I was very pleased with the work completed. My dishwasher was overflowing onto the counter top and the technician took the time to explain what to do to avoid future back ups as well as provided some tips on how to keep my drains from clogging. He was very friendly and personable. The price quoted was what I was charged - no sneaky hidden fees! more

Called for help with a GFCI problem. Jaimes came promptly, calling before hand, showing up right on time. Quickly diagnosed the problem, along with noting a safety concern which could easily be remedied, and provided several, cost effective solutions, from doing the work ourselves (with product recommendations) to the John Moore team providing different levels of service. Jaimes was courteous, prompt and provided the answers needed. He is an excellent example of John Moore's team. We use them every time, for plumbing and electrical and highly recommend them! more

Called out for backed up sewer issue. Plumber was courteous and did great. While he was at the house I ask about fixing the problem permanently which is a break of sewer pipe on city easement in my backyard and got an outrageous estimate of $7500. You have got to be joking!!! 35 feet of straight, unobstructed path, no trees, no buildings, nothing in the way at all and $7500! I told him thank you for the estimate and that I would check with other companies before making my decision. Glad I got it in writing or no one would have believed me. \r \r Well guess what... they were so far out of the ballpark with their estimate that the average estimate for the exact same thing came in $5000 less than their estimate... WOW, I'm glad it wasn't an emergency that had to be fixed immediately. Never will I ever recommend nor call this company for any service! more
