Best

was in town for work! stopped in one day and couldnt stop going back. ate there 4 days in a week. stop in the ""to go part"" ""take out"" faster and just as good!

Worst

We arrived early on a Sunday so we would not have a wait, which once opened we were seated immediately. That was the only good part. I waiter was less than enthusiastic and just...

I am a newyorker who was told about this place!!! We walked up and weren't acknowledged at all, my husband and I were treated like animals!!! Racist bastards they forget money green!!!!!!!! I will never go back.... They were over. Priced any ways!!!! more

Overrated indeed!!! My fried shrimp taste too commercial. U can tell it was not fresh. Will never eat here again..SORRY more

Everyone talks about how good the food is and that's not true. My crabs were cold and my eating utensils have old dry food on it A Complete turn off. Never again. more

Always good crabs. I really always feel like it's not worth the long wait but, when you get that first stoney...it reminds you why you had the 3 drinks at the bar and sat for over a hour for a table... more

We visited the one off of University. Excited to go to this new place, and left unhappy. Service totally SUCKED. Waiting for a table for ever, even though the place was almost empty?\r VERY VERY OVERPRICED. I'd rather go to Key West with that money. more

like the Gayot says: "pandemonium from the get-go in trying to get a table (no reservations are accepted)." so going during the week or on the weekends try during lunch!!! must try the key lime pie!!! more

World Class!!! 2/2/2010

This is the best place for Stone Crabs without a doubt. The super large ones are too expensive but sometimes they have a special on mediums. They have great sauces too.\r \r GR more

Has to be the all time favourite, never anything but fantastic stone crabs and sides, no matter the $$ more

I have been to Joe's several times and I do not even know why. This place is overrated and the food is good but not excellent enough to wait 3 hours on a Saturday night. The staff could be friendlier and quicker taking into account the wait time... Lobster... you can get better somewhere else... more

They should have more variety of crab dishes more

I was here three years ago and it looked outdated then, dark and dingee, but I'm sure they did nothing to the place in 3 years except put up the prices. Whata rip-off, I just can't understand why so many people go there, its certainly not for the food. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 10/28/2009

Unimpressed. Bisque was good. Pompano dinner was overcooked and tough. Service was subpar for a restaurant of this 'caliber'. Finished plates left on the table, glasses empty, etc even with attendants around who were too busy talking to the rest of the staff. more

Visited Miami for a couple days and we just HAD to go to Joe's for my 50th birthday. There was about 14 of us and I have to say although the food was incredible, the service was poor and the wait to get a table was even worse. Found myself just taking in the scenery (people watching) and that was interesting also. All in all, enjoyed it very much and would love to go back sometime. more

Food is great just a bit expensive. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 10/15/2009

I've been to Joe's several times and the food is OK. Like many resturants with huge reputations it's both overrated, over priced and certainly not worth the interminable wait one must endure for the privilege of eating "stone" crabs b more

Joe's is world-renowned and with good reason! The most phenomenal stone crabs you will ever eat. My family and I go here often. Great for celebrations! Impeccable service, chic atmosphere, and the food is consistently amazing - the price is a non-issue. You can't come to Miami and come to Joe's! It's a landmark! more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 8/20/2009

Overpriced ! The service is not that great! Waiters are cocky and arrogant. The wait is way too long no matter how good the bar can be. It's just stone crabs people! Not much you can do to mess up this dish! Crab boiled in water! That restaurant lives of the hype! more
