We arrived early on a Sunday so we would not have a wait, which once opened we were seated immediately. That was the only good part. I waiter was less than enthusiastic and just...

traveled over 1,000 miles to eat at Joe's. Chip at the bar was entertaining and the Martini was outstanding. Once seated, we were treated to a Stone crab delight!!!! However, my bride still contends that the King crab served were the best she's ever had. \r The service have superb, the food superb.\r Due to the sear mass of people they serve there, you will probably have to wait. That's ok, go see Chip at the bar. more

Miami's Finest!! Great food and excellent service!! However, be ready to wait a long time and was a bit pricy. Both of these negatives were more than erased by the friendly, knowledgeable, and personable wait staff. Everything on the menu and on tables looked delicious, but we went with their specialty...large stone crab claws. My wife and I split an 1.5 order (8 claws). All vegetable side dishes are served family style (huge portions). Cannot wait to make it back to South Beach for some more of some of the sweetest crab meat I have experienced! more

The food, service, and atmosphere is top quality! Carlos was a gentleman, provided extensive information about the menu, and was attentive to our every need. We will definitely return if we visit Miami again. more

We ate in the take-away section and received no service at the bar. Thankfully, a wonderful employee,Eddy, was very helpful and we ended up having a fantastic experience. First-time eating stone crabs which were surprisingly meaty! Also highly recommend the sautéed shrimp & the fried calamari. more

One of my favorite places in Florida.\r Passed by for a quick bite at the bar on the season opening weekend. Had some good white wine (can't remember which ones), the giant lump crab cake, stone crabs and key lime pie. Yum. more

I was invited and thought it was joe's crab shack, wow was I wrong on everything except for the quality. I had the cold stone crab and scallops and nether was worth more than maybe $10-15, but they were considerably more (50s for the crab) I was unimpressed over all and will not be going back. more

I stand corrected ;) .. xcellent ;) 11/8/2011

Though it's been a while since I've to this place my experience was the same as Cynthia's. Had to pay Matre' De for the privilege of getting a table for 6. The service was only OK. Since all stone crabs are frozen especially out of season I can't understand the fascination with this place. Truly living on tourists, their past reputation and people who are more interested in the name of the place than the quality of the food. more
