Recently I spoke w/ salesman ""Isaac"" from Joe Cooper Ford in Yukon OK. I told him that I was interested in an advertised auto of theirs. I let him know that I would like to see if they would be willing to sell me this car for 30K ""Out the Door"" & I told him including all taxes, fees... I also let him know that I would be driving from CO. He said that he wanted to check with his mgr. He called back about in 5 min., & said they could do the deal. I reiterated ""Out the door right taxes, fees, everything right? He then said: ?yes taxes, fees, everything out the door?. I then told him that I would be there tomorrow. I drove 9 hrs. to Yukon OK. The next day I arrived & asked for Isaac, waited 40 min. He then showed up & asked for my drivers license to do a test drive. He then told me a rte. to take for a test drive & walked away. I then sat in the car for 5 min. & tried to put the car in gear, the car would not go into gear. Another salesman passed by, & I asked him if he could help. He sat in the car and he couldn't figure it out either. The salesman said that he would go and find Isaac. 10 min. later, I decided to ask another salesman for help, this salesman tried w/o success, he then shut the car off, then restarted it, finally it freed up. It would have been nice had Isaac shown us around the car before he walked off. We then went for a spin & returned. Waiting another 45 min. until Isaac was done with another customer, he asked me if I would like to fill out an app., for a better interest rate then I had. Originally I said no, then being pressured, I figured I've got nothing to lose. Isaac then returned 30 min. later not saying anything about a better rate, just started the purchase paperwork. He first had me sign a disclosure of ""No Warranty"" from the dealership. Isaac then handed me the itemized sales sheet to sign. Immediately I noticed that there was no sales tax listed! To get the price to 30K from the advertised price of 29.6K, the dealership had added $150 for the already included alarm system & $150 for dealership fees. They were trying to squeeze every red cent out of my pre-approved loan, while forgetting to include most importantly the sales tax in the 30K like we had originally agreed to. Why not, I guess they had a chump drive 530 mi. from CO, he wouldn't drive all this way and go back empty handed, right? The old bait and switch. Obviously honesty & integrity don't mean much at Joe Cooper Ford of Yukon, OK. I couldn't believe I was getting burned. I then asked Isaac what happened to our agreement? Isaac then stated: ""What agreement?"" Once he said that, I just felt warm all over, just saddened by how rotten people can be just to make an extra buck off of you. I then realized, they had never planned on giving me the deal that we had agreed to, they would ask me to fill out another application to see if they could stretch out the price higher, why not he's already approved for 30K, right? Once they figured out that my pre-approved 30K check was the max. for me, they figured just don't add the sales tax in the deal. We won't put that in the deal and he'll figure out that he'll have to pay another 2K+ once he gets back to CO. I know for damn sure without a doubt no question that we agreed to ""Out the Door, all taxes and all fees"". I would not have driven a quarter of the way across the country without an agreement. I admit that I was extremely ignorant taking their word for truth. Shame on me. Upon leaving, Adam in finance asked me; ""Where did we go wrong?"" I told him when you guys lied to me about the deal. Adam wanted to take an argumentative stance on the matter, and Isaac nor Adam were willing to negotiate our original agreement. I didn't want to waste time and argue about the inevitable, so I just told the two of them to have a Happy Thanksgiving and I walked out. It turned out to be a big waste of time, due to the greed and deception of Joe Cooper Ford in Yukon, OK.
