Jetts Gas And Service

Finding an honest mechanic is kinda like pulling the needle out of a haystack. Here is the needle in the auto-shop haystack. \r \r I'm a student and part-time worker. I've taken all of my vehicles to George Jett and his mechanics while living in Little Rock. In the past, I've driven some some cheap cars (college budget.) Mr. Jett and his mechanics were always understanding of my situation. \r \r After looking my vehicles over for free, they offer the most economic and practical solutions to keep my cars safe to be on the road. When my vehicles were to the point where they weren't worth fixing - the mechanics were completely honest with me and recommended practical options for getting rid of my old cars without taking too hard of a financial hit.\r \r The thing that I appreciate most is the courteous staff and honest pricing. Other mechanics may offer a lower price for some services but you get what you pay for. The mechanics at Jett's stand by their work; as an earlier reviewer said. more

I highly recommend these honest and hard-working folks. I always call and make an appointment for regular service because they're no longer the best-kept secret in town, and they tend to stay very busy. Despite that, they've always managed to work me in when I've had an emergency (once even staying open a little late so I could make it there after work).\r \r I rarely write reviews, but the vague, unsubstantiated accusations and rumors stated by the anonymous commenter seem so far afield from my experience with Jett's, I have made an exception today. (By the way, I understand it might be frustrating when your vehicle can't be fixed, but stating up front "I know nothing about this subject" then claiming you were screwed without any specifics doesn't inspire confidence in your review, especially when you consider your business relationship with them lasted FIFTEEN YEARS!). I have been going to Jetts for years. George Jett is a stand up guy who has never steered me wrong. The last repair I had turned out to be a very simple bad tire. I thought that I had a front end problem. They could have told me that I needed alignment, shocks, struts, etc. But, in the end they told me all I needed was a new tire. Total cost $62 bucks with the mounting and balancing included. You can never go wrong with Jetts more

I have been going to Jetts for a long time. George is a great guy and has always taken care of me. When I could not do what he recommended before I left to go on my honeymoon, he put the new belt on for free and called it a wedding gift. I have been driving the same truck for eleven years and can not justify buying another one because it still runs like new. He is the only I trust to work on my wifes car... What more can I say! more

My experience with Jetts has been nothing but good - instead of getting me to spend a lot of my money fixing up an old car they told me when it was time to buy a new vehicle and they always go out of their way to do things right at no additional cost to me - and from everything I have ever heard from others the previous reviewer who had the bad experience is the definitely the exception and not the rule. more

I trusted Jett's for almost 15 years only to find out they were totally screwing me over. I am a female and have NO automative knowledge. I had some concerns when they kept having to "redo" jobs they had already completed but they repeatedly failed. I later learned that not all their mechanics are certified and some just pretend to do work but never actually fix the car. Their failure to properly repair my car ended up with them burning up my engine and then they denied they did it. This was only after they caused alot of damage to other systems in my car. I have since learned my lesson, bought a new car and learned to NEVER go back there, for any reason, not even to buy gas, get air in my tires or even an oil change. You think they are honest and they seem friendly enough, but they are incompetent and I suffered a huge financial loss because of their ignorance and lack of work that they were actually paid to do. Jett's is an old school BP gas station and routinely has 3 or 4 'hoopty' (i.e. demi-clunkers) out front. Jett's is known for having a Lazarus like ability with older vehicles, squeezing out the last bit out of life out of dilapidated rides that have no business being on the road-- and at a fair price. Even more amazing was the detail job they performed on a co-workers truck. When he first brought it in, it looked (and smelled) like a rabid monkey and condor had mated on the dashboard and seats. But in 2 days, Jett's had the interior, undercarriage and engine shining like pirate's treasure. I was amazed. more
