Thank you Jack for giving me comfortable shoes. I have not had any luck getting a good pair of running shoes to fit me without creating pain in my feet. After you custom fitted a insert for my shoes, I can run faster and stand without hurting. Thank you for helping me! Many blessings. more

Normally, I'm not one to write reviews, but you have to give praise where praise is due. I took my favorite pair of boots to Jensen because within a year I had worn through the cheap, thin soles another repair shop put on them. I spoke with Lupe, the man who does the shoe repair at Jensen, and ask him if he could put a thicker, tougher sole on them. He said no problem - he'd order me one. I also asked him if he could replace a broken zipper pull on the boots. He said no problem to that too. I figured it might take a couple of weeks. Within five days I get a call saying they were ready. I went to pick them up and not only were they were absolutely perfect - they were ten times better than the day I bought them. Lupe not only glued on the beefy new soles, he also stitched them (they way the manufacturer should have done it). And he didn't just repair the broken pull, he replaced the entire zipper on both of them. The craftsmanship and the quality of the repairs was remarkable; and I'm not an easy man to please. So the bottom line: Lupe, if by chance you're reading this, thank you, sir. You are a true artisan and craftsman. It's incredibly rare these days to find someone who cares about their craft and quality. You are, indeed, a rare find and I truly appreciate your work. And for that, you and Jensen have earned a customer for life. more

Mr Jensen,\r \r \r \r You have taken care of my feet for a long time and I feel it's time I gave you my testimony. I am a respiratory therapist, and I'm on my feet all day. In 1980 my foot problems finally came to a head with heel spurs. I couldn't sleep at night the pain was so great. It felt like hot iron rods going up my legs. At the time I was living in Charlotte, and I went to a specialist there who sent off to New York City for some special orthotics that cost me $500 per foot. They didn't help. I've had cortisone shots and everthing short of surgery, and nothing seemed to help.\r \r I since moved to Nashville and I heard your advertising on a radio show I listen to. It sounded like the same old stuff I'd heard before, so I didn't do anything about it right away. It took a couple of months of hearing it before I finally decided to come to your store (this was now around 1987). You waited on me yourself, and when you started telling me things about my feet I thought, I've heard this before, but I was here and I told myself, just go ahead and do it. You molded my orthotics and when I came back to get them and tried them on, I thought, well this feels better, and after just two weeks my feet were better and I haven't had any problems since then.\r \r Now I tell everyone what it did for me, especially the nurses that are on their feet all day. My foot has gradually become so painful I could barely walk on it or sleep at night...I stopped into see my orthopedist and he recommended Jensen Shoes...boy was he right! My foot is on the mend. The sales person working with me was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. He found the perfect shoes for me and fitted me for those great shoe inserts...it's just been a few days, but I am walking fine now in Jensen's shoes and I can sleep at night with no worries of pain. After being talked into getting inserts for my running shoes, I went to Jensens. It was an insult that we had to wait to get a salesman since he walked over to another couple who came in about 10 min after we did. My first red flag. Another man came over and said was I needed a size 8 running shoe. I was really surprised. The shoes were heavy and too long. I am 61 so have been doing this awhile and know what works for me. He made inserts for me and for the cost, I just assumed they would help me. Way way to thick and heavy the salesman said I would get back aches unless I wore the right inserts. I got my first back ache ever with these heavy inserts and shoes. Awful just awful. I sold the shoes on ebay . I was fitted across the street and wear a size 7 so make my own inserts with ones you put in the oven on warm and mold your foot to them. I waisted a lot of money I don't have so maybe this will help someone not make the same mistake I did. DO NOT patronize this establishment. The owner just got in my face and screamed at me when I began to cry because he refused to give me a refund for a pair of shoes that I paid over $100 for. Said the shoes I bought were sale shoes. But I was never shown the price on the box or told that the shoes were a sale item. \r \r I purchased three pairs of shoes here, two of which I found myself on the clearance shelves, one of which was ""professionally fitted"" by a staff member. I thought that sale shoes referred to this clearance area, not shoes brought out of the back by a staff member. It was never indicated to me that this was a sale shoe. And there were no prices on any of the ""stock"" shoes on display in the store. The only was to get a price was to ask the salesperson, who said something like: ""I can let you have those for...""\r \r The person who fitted me put me in a triple A narrow that squeezed my bunion, so I returned it. I was then fitted for a pair that were so big they kept slipping off my feet when I tried to walk in them naturally. Her suggestion if they didn't work out was to bring them back and she could put some padding in the back. I'm sorry, but if the shoe ""fits"" is all of that really necessary?\r \r With the customer service I received, I cannot fathom how this man has stayed in business for this long. All I can say is if you make a purchase here, don't entertain any notions about asking for a refund. Not unless you'd like to be screamed at, demeaned and humiliated. more

I took a pair of ladies pumps to be repaired at Jensen and was so glad I chose them to do the repair. They did a wonderful and quick job repairing the shoes. More importantly, the individuals who work there, especially Tony, were so kinda and helpful. WONDERFUL customer service.
