I highly reccomend this company. They have been managing my building for many years and they are nothing but helpful. I feel comfortable that I deal with the same employees for years to help fix my problems. more

At all costs avoid doing business with Jalen. It's a terrible, terrible management company. They don't ""manage"" the properties that they purport to manage at all. They don't respond to phone calls, they don't respond to emails, they didn't have email until this year, ha, which is just absurd. They don't make any repairs on any of the buildings that they manage and they don't respond to any tenants situations at all. Ever. Terrible, terrible company where employees turnover like crazy because obviously, it's also terrible to work there. All positive reviews that you find are clearly fake. more

Stay Away\r That is exactly what they do to shareholders. You always have to leave a message, they never call you back. They do the same thing to our building' s super!! Now really. As long as you are on the board, as I was, they are fine, leave the board, and that's what they do to you. No regard for right and wrong, house rules and even the bylaws. As board president, I should have paid more attention to these reviews, instead of supporting hiring them. more

worst company i've ever dealt with. Paula is overwhelm, and other staff have no idea what's going on. no phone calls return, no emails return...for one little thing, you have to follow up 100 times. staff are very rude!!! i will not recommend this business to ANYONE!!! we are trying to get out of their contract now! more

Decent job, competent, and timely to the extent of the word. The building management has been savvy to attract a good supt., create a clean environment, and handle the generally aging building conditions with a broad stroke. I would add more staff under Paula if it were for me to decide. Her management savvy has potential to grow if they have more hands handling admin and records management stuff. Overall, living in a building managed by this company I've seen nothing but incremental improvements. Thumbs up. NT123 more

I think it's about time I convey my thanks to Paula and her team, for all the good work they have done and continue to provide to us. Thanks Paula for making our refinance so smooth and helping us with putting Castle Court in order. Your services are greatly appreciated. To all complainers - I've been living in Bay Ridge for 19 years and experienced my share of management companies - I can tell you this - Jalen is far from ""the worst""! Whenever there was an important issue or problem, Jalen was always there for us. People sometimes forget that co-op is a business with shareholders not their little house on the prairie, where individual takes president over the group. I'm not saying that I don't wish their response time could be better when I have an individual issue, but I'm also realistic about it. more

The worst service I have ever received. Completely disorganized, staff is overwhelmed and incompetent which makes for a useless organization. Most frustrating business I have ever dealt with. Should not be used as management for ANY cooperative building. They lied to me and I am sure they will lie to everyone else they deal with. Can't get critical paperwork completed. Totally inept at doing their job. Worthless. Cons: In my experience, everything. more
