Frank from Islander Pools was very accommodating to me and my wife, who constantly changed plans and ideas. He listened to every issue or concern we had. He also took the time to explain what was happening as well as what was going to happen. It was a very reassuring process. We found out about Islander Pools through a friend one of my former employees. I would tell potential customers about the company's honesty and how they let us make the decisions instead of steering us in one direction. Definitely give them a look! They were fast, and they were open throughout the whole process. Islander Pools met every one of our needs! Simply said, my experience with Islander Pools was ultimately the best experience I've ever had! Embarking upon a huge project like this can be a little terrifying. It's like building a room addition or starting a remodeling project. It's a major cost and huge commitment. Even if you do your due diligence, like I did, I visited all the stores and read all the blogs and reviews, I even called the state board to find out who they recommended, you don't know what you're going to get until it's done. The customer service from Islander Pools really rates at the top. They did everything they said they were going to do and met all the time lines they had set. The quality of the work truly exceeded my expectations. They are a top-class operation. Whenever you call, there are live bodies to help you. They treat people the way they want to be treated. I really felt the hand-holding from them, like they were handling me with kid gloves. You just don't get that personal type of treatment anymore. Frank was physically there every step of the way, completely actively involved with the job, which he had personally said he'd be from the start. Having him present to oversee the work and the sub-contractors really made a huge difference. He was able to facilitate a great price from the sub-contractors on a deck we wanted to add. Frank was also great about discussing add-ons with me. He was honest about things I needed, and things that wouldn't add to the pool or yard. Like Frank was all for the sheer waterfall, and I wasn't convinced at first, but he told me how nice it would be to listen to the water itself splashing into the pool. I considered it and I'm so glad I went for it, I love that feature! I also upgraded and got a very reasonable price for the walkway. Frank is not a hard-sell at all, he gave me the pros and cons of everything and let me decide what I wanted. I couldn't be happier with the final outcome. I did meet with a few different companies, a couple have since gone out of business, and the others quoted really high prices, and didn't really care about me as the consumer. I am so happy I decided to use Frank from Islander Pools. My backyard is nirvana! more

My husband and I hired Islander Pools about four years ago to install a custom pool in our backyard. We dealt directly with Frank, the owner of the company. We considered others, but went with Frank in the end because he was honest and forthcoming, and not like a salesperson. We trusted him from the get go, and he's been there for us ever since, every time we've had a question. Frank is very personable, and has a good sense of humor. He still remembers us, and has never brushed us off because he's already closed the deal. He doesn't have to call us back after four years, but he does anyway. We are past the warranty period, yet he continues to send people out if we have issues or questions. What's more, everybody loves our pool. We get so many compliments about it--the design is just great. In fact, we are in the process of selling our house, and the pool is the first thing that the buyers notice. We have listed before, and we always receive offers within the first week. Thanks to Islander Pools, our house is worth more. I really can't say enough good things about them. more

Islander Pools truly met my expectations. When I first met with them, I had a concept of how I wanted the backyard and pool to look. Dave came back with a laptop and an animation of what the final product would look like. Out of the eight different pool companies I met with about, they were the only company that went to that degree. He was very thorough in explaining and showing me what he was planning and discussing what our expectations were. They explained everything that was going to happen step by step and had good documentation on all of the steps and process. If I ever had any concerns or needed my questions answered, he was available to call, and would call back within ten minutes if I missed him. We would absolutely recommend them to anybody! My wife and I spent the last two years thinking and planning what we wanted, and this is exactly, exactly what we expected! We couldn't be happier! more

Frank was a great guy to deal with! He got the job priced competitively, we had researched quite a bit and he was definitely in the running. The work and professionalism of his team (sub contractors) was excellent. Some additional items (fences, gates, door alarms) may be required, so be thorough and plan into budget. The entire project went according to plan, albeit a little longer than anticipated - due to weather and some schedule conflicts. The entire project went a little longer than we had anticipated. Overall, I thought it was a pretty good experience and we are very happy with the final result. more

When I wanted a pool built I went out to 3 contractors. I told them what I wanted and a little bit of the vision I had. I told them to go out there and design. We chose the best pool that would work for my wife and I, which was Islander Pools. Everyone there was very professional and I felt really timely with the entire process. I was very, very thrilled with the job they did. Everybody who comes over tells us how gorgeous the pool is. The work they did is amazing. Everything is very well built. I know the Orange County Inspector and even he says that Frank is one of the best contractors he's ever worked with and just the nicest guy. I would recommend them to anybody, and I do! As a consumer and homeowner, I found Islander Pools to be very professional. All the subcontractors they used were professional, as well. They finished the job two weeks ahead of schedule, on budget, and communicated very well throughout the process. Islander was able to take my concept and turn it into a buildable product, which really impressed me. This was the third pool I've had built and out of all the companies I worked with, Islander Pools is the best! Frank, the owner, provides quality service and great follow-up with his customers. I've found that pool companies, for the most part, are terrible, like a used car salesman and he's not like that at all. He will stay on top of things until it's done. The service and the quality is more than great. You couldn't believe how far Frank will go for his customers. We had terrible rain storms over the holidays, and the hill grading completely flooded into the pool with water. It wasn't coming into my house, but it was getting close. I emailed pictures to Frank, because I was very concerned and within thirty minutes, he was there with his rain boots on and water pump in hand. He was ready to fix what what had happened, even though it had nothing at all to do with him and the work he had done. But he was there to help me out, and really did go over and beyond the call of duty for me. Everything turned out perfectly. He left the pump there for a month and diverted the water away from the house, he knew exactly how to take care of the issue. This was a great experience. I would definitely use Islander Pools again if I was to build another pool. Frank is great! more

From start to finish, Islander Pools designed my outdoor kitchen and swimming pool. From the ground breaking to completion there were no interruptions in the construction and no snafus or problems. Everything was done in a timely manner. The work is excellent. It is above and beyond our expectations. Usually when dealing with contractors there always seems to be a problem, but things went extremely smoothly. I didn't have to make any special phone calls to get things done. I highly recommend Islander Pools. All the staff was very professional, all the contractors were on time, and they knew what they were doing. They always left the job site clean and tidy. more

As a businessman, I completely understand the importance of providing excellent service. Thankfully, Islander Pools understands that concept too. I liked what Frank had to offer. I felt like I would be getting everything I feel is important in a working relationship: respect, professionalism and great customer service. I took my ideas in on paper, they transferred it to the computer and created a digitalized 3D version for us to see. I loved how easy it became to actually visualize how our pool was going to turn out. I felt as if I went from the start to the finish with this product and saw it through the entire process. I knew who to turn to if I had a question; the owner. I never felt like I had to jump through hoops, leave millions of messages or had to chase anyone down just to talk to me or answer my questions. Islander Pools broke ground to install a pool at our house on January 5th of 2010, which was a little more than year ago to the day. We had received bids from 5 or 6 different pool companies in the Riverside area but we found Islander Pools, and Frank in particular, to be very competent, and we had confidence they could do the job. Ultimately, they did a lot more for a lot less than any of the other companies who submitted a bid. They broke ground on January 5th and we had our first pool party on Memorial Day weekend. It is a 40' x 22' pool with a lot of rock work, and they were able to actually finish ahead of schedule despite 4 or 5 weeks of rain and weather delays. Every member of Frank's crew was exceptional. They did great work, and they were willing to accommodate small changes throughout the process. It went very smoothly and the pool turned out beautifully. I highly recommend them. Norm Williams more

Islander Pools came highly recommended from a friend. If only we could have talked to them first! We first called another company, and the salesman that came out said our backyard looked fine and that we didn't need a pool. They called back the next day and gave us an estimate. They did so without taking any measurements. The whole experience was completely unprofessional. Then we called Islander Pools. Frank came out and was completely professional. He had a laptop which he used to show us his credentials (they are Better Business Bureau accredited). He talked with us about what we envisioned for our backyard pool, and then took measurements and pictures before leaving. He provided a quick turnaround, coming back the very next day. He showed us the design for the pool on his laptop. Everything he did was very professional, very ethical, and we were thrilled to work with him. We were very impressed with Islander Pools, and would recommend them ourselves. In fact, we keep recommending them to our friends and neighbors. Whenever an issue came up, they fixed it with no problem and at no additional cost. If we ever move again, we would absolutely use them in the future. We love our pool! more
