horrible! supposedly they are under new ownership, but that makes no difference. I took some dresses and business apparel to them and they ruined two of the items, then offered to fix them, then somehow managed to ruin them even more! the manager was very rude, and called me a liar when I told him they had ripped the one dress, even though it was plain as day that there was a huge rip in the bust. after four trips the manager finally offered to pay for the one dress, not the other, and he only gave me half of what I paid for it since I didn't keep my reciept from a year ago! the service was poor and they have teenagers working there who don't seem old enough to work period, let alone with hot implements and steam. now I have to go try and find new clothing without spending alot of money and go to a new cleaner who hopefully won't rip me off, and btw they didn;t refund the original cost to clean the items either, nor ever apologise for the hassle or annoyance. more

i HEARD IT WAS UNDER NEW OWNER SHIP LAST YEAR, SO I WENT AND TRIED THAT OUT BECAUSE BEFORE THE NEW OWNER SHIP THEY DID NOT SATISFY ME AT ALL BUT WHEN I WENT TO THE NEW OWNER SHIP, IT WAS GREAT 100% SATISFYING. THEY PRESSED AND CLEANED ALL MY CLOTHES AND SPENT AROUND 60$ AND I DID NOT REGRET IT. THEY ARE GREAT THERE, I SUGGEST EVERYONE TO GO THERE AND TRY IT OUT more

I'm in law enforcement and have been taking my uniforms there since the place opened. Never had a bad experience. Even after the ownership change, the service remains top notch. You can't please everyone, so try the place and see for yourself. more

I have been using the same dry cleaner for 10 years with only minor problems but decided to switch because Indpendence Cleaners was closer. Huge mistake! When I picked up my clothes I had the right number of items but later realized they gave me SOMEONE ELSE""S pants! I took them back in and a very young girl told me someone would call. When someone did call, he was extremely rude and could have cared less about resolving the issue. He told me it was my fault for not returning the pants sooner.\r \r Now, I'm out the money I paid to have someone else's pants cleaned and out a pair of pants. Independence Cleaners is a horrible place...I wish I had read these reviews before taking my clothes there. Cons: Horrible customer service more

I have been using them since they opened. Never once have I been treated rudely or in any way poorly. I appreciate that they have even remembered my name. They are the only reason I go into Independence. Thanks to them! more

I picked up my clothes from them and being naive to their style of business, I simply took my clothes home and hung them up until I was to wear them at a later date. Once I did put them on and tried to zip them I realized the zipper mechanism had been ripped off. I called and was assured that a manager would be getting back to me. There was no call. I called back, the manager completely disregarded what I was explaining but told me to bring my pants in. When I brought them in, at a time when the manager said he would be in, a little girl proceeded to tell me they would be doing nothing other ten recommending a seamstress. I will never do business here again and assume they will be destroying themselves through their own incompetence. Pros: the location is convenient but not worth it. Cons: terrible customer relations. more

Very rude people who do not do a quality service. I will drive a half hour now to receive the serice they provide 2 minutes from Pros: close to home Cons: not worth it more

And I'm the second one to say it just on this site. I picked up clothes that had not been cleaned. When I returned them, I was issued an apology and they took them back, no questions asked. Until I picked them up again, and one of them had still not been cleaned. And I had a hole in the elbow of one of my sweaters which had NOT been there before. Upon calling, I was given a rude attitude, but an assurance that a manger would call. Well, that was two weeks ago...still nothing. I would NOT take my clothes back to these people, based not only on the disregard for the clothing, but the INCREDIBLE rudeness of the staff. Cons: Poor customer service, and they don't CARE that they have wronged you. more

I had a shirt ripped by the drycleaner. I had picked the shirt up the night before and the next day, I was going to wear it to work and discovered a big rip in the back of the shirt. I was given the managers name by the clerk who apologized for the problem. I called the manager and she bluntly told me that they did not rip my shirt. In other words, I took a ripped shirt to the drycleaners to have it cleaned and pressed. I told her that she just lost a customer. She said ""fine"" and hung up. more
