Recently, I got my hair cut at Illusions for the first time. My stylist was very friendly and I liked that she respected the length I wanted cut off (I have long hair, and most salons I have visited in the past have cut off more than I wanted) and I was happy with the cut. However, the next day when I straigntened my hair, I noticed that my layers were EXTREMELY uneven. The layers on the right side of my head were about 4 inches shorter than the ones on the left, which I thought was strange, but I called and I was given another appointment later that day. After I got the cut fixed, I was happy with it, but I was annoyed that I had to get it fixed in the first place. A few weeks later, I had an appointment to get my hair done for my senior prom. I got a Carrie Underwood style with my long hair styled in a half-up do and the rest curled and left down. I was very happy with the results. When I got home and started getting ready, I noticed the curls falling out only 30 minutes after I got home. I tried curling a small lock myself, but could not achieve the same style as the other curls, so I called Illusions and I was told to come back ASAP. I ended up being there for an hour and a half as the stylists re-did my whole style instead of just recurling the strands that had come uncurled. I ended up coming home with 5 minutes to finish getting ready before my limo picked me up. Thanks to Illusions, I had an extremely stressful prom day, and I was very unhappy with the service. I will not be returning.
Also, Illusions does not "guarantee" their color and they will charge you to fix any problems you have with your color UNLESS YOU BUY THEIR SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER which is about $30 bucks a pop. Talk about ridiculous.
Pros: Friendly stylists
Cons: Everything else
