Illusions Color Spa

I am someone who gives a lot of chances...and that is exactly what I have done with Illusions. I just keep thinking it will get better, but it never does. First, I rarely get the stylist I request, there time management is terrible, she is usually still with another client. Second, I wait for at least 20 minutes past my scheduled time, every time. Finally, the stylists do not seem very genuine and try to pressure you into buying their latest and greatest expensive product. I just don't feel welcome there, but they sure welcome my wallet. You lost me, Illusions. more

i read all of the reviews before i posted mine so that i could give an honest opinion. Yes the prices are not cheap, but it is a small luxury that i spend for myself. the result is that i get a professional job with products that are better than i could get myself and i don't have to do the work. jackie is always pleasant and sweet and even though i have not dealt with other girls much they have always been friendly to me. yes i did join the club but the one time fee is a lifetime membership, unlike a lot of things where you have to renew on a regular basis. they have recommended but never pushed products on me or pressured me that i "had to" get them. hello!!! this is part of their job, it's how they make a living and they are trained to do so, but they are not trying to rob you. i know it is more than i spend if i would do it myself, but it also looks and feels a lot better, and it is worth paying to have someone you can trust with something as personal as this. i highly recommend it and love going there. I have been going to Illusions for about 6 months now. Every time I go in I leave getting exactly what I asked for or better. My stylist Jamie has done an excellent job on getting to know me and my personal style. She does a great job on hair from simple haircuts to any color. She does it just right. She recommends styles,color and products that are just right for me. They always adds a personal touch with makes you feel appreciated. No matter who your stylist is, all the girls greet you with a smile and you can tell they are generally happy with their work. I can not ask for anything better in a hair stylist than to love what he/she does. I recommend Illusions to anyone. I trust illusions judgement with all of my hair care needs. I just left Illusions Color Spa and this was my first visit. I went for eyelash extensions and i was very nervous walking in as this is new to me. I left teh salon looking wonderful, my eyes look amazing. I cant stop looking at my eyes and I've already recieved 2 compliments on my eyes!!!!! I'm going back next week for my haircolor. The stylist was so professional as was the entire salon. On my walk to the eyelash room I was greeted by 3 different girls saying hello!!! I felt so comfortable there it was great!!! I highly recommed you trying these eyelashes!!!!! Pros: Very Professional On Time, Very Clean more

Great looking styles come out of there, but you sure play the price! High pressure on products, I was told that every person must leave with something. Really pricey. Pros: Great job on hairstyles, the salon offers a lot of different services. Cons: Prices too high. more

I recently had my hair done at Illusions Color Spa and I could not be any happier. I just moved here from New York and was referred to this salon due to them being aTop 200 salon. I had a full head of hair extensions and a full 2 color foil. I just love my hair the extensions are amazing, probably the best it has ever looked. The extensions feel and look so real. I've had them for about 1 month now and I've had so many compliments on my color and how beautiful my hair is!!!!!!!!! I would recommed this salon to anyone, I am actually trying out their eyelash extensions next week so I will let everyone know how they are!!!!! Pros: So far everything Cons: Can't think of Any more

My experience at Illusions was amazing. Everyone was extremely friendly and my stylist was up-to-date on all the latest styles. She had just taken a trip to New York and offered a great new cut and color. Their new color line makes your hair look and feel at its best. This salon I would highly recommend to everyone. I just went to Illusions after having a horrible experience somewhere else and they definetly have a client for life now!!!! I came in with my hair being a complete color nightmare. I had black roots with ashy blonde hilights it was just bad and I did not think it was possible to have beautiful hair again. I just walked in and the owner and another stylist Kelly welcomed me and sat me down. They spent 30 minutes just listening to me and going over what color I exactly wanted!!!! I was so impressed with the consultation alone, but then they did some test strands on my hair before they colored it to make sure I was going to like teh color. They took so much time for me to make sure I was happy. I love it I have never had so many compliments on my color and there color line which is new from Holland Keune made my hair feel fabulous again!!!! I can't stop talking about my great experience there and well my hair is proof that they know what they are doing!!!!! Pros: Great at Color!!!!!!!!!! more

I just got done reading these reviews and I cannot believe this. I am a client of Illusions and have been for 5 years now, I have since referred my neighbors, family, and co-workers. This is a great place with a wonderful staff. They do excellent work with reasonable prices. They are not pushy at all with products, but they do show you what they just got done using on your hair, otherwise how are you going to duplicate the style if you don't know. Anyways I had to write something because I have never found a place that is so great and everyone so welcoming and friendly. I can't beleive that someone could write a bad thing about the salon. This is a 5 year clients opinion and I would recommend it this place to everyone!!!! more

Recently, I got my hair cut at Illusions for the first time. My stylist was very friendly and I liked that she respected the length I wanted cut off (I have long hair, and most salons I have visited in the past have cut off more than I wanted) and I was happy with the cut. However, the next day when I straigntened my hair, I noticed that my layers were EXTREMELY uneven. The layers on the right side of my head were about 4 inches shorter than the ones on the left, which I thought was strange, but I called and I was given another appointment later that day. After I got the cut fixed, I was happy with it, but I was annoyed that I had to get it fixed in the first place. A few weeks later, I had an appointment to get my hair done for my senior prom. I got a Carrie Underwood style with my long hair styled in a half-up do and the rest curled and left down. I was very happy with the results. When I got home and started getting ready, I noticed the curls falling out only 30 minutes after I got home. I tried curling a small lock myself, but could not achieve the same style as the other curls, so I called Illusions and I was told to come back ASAP. I ended up being there for an hour and a half as the stylists re-did my whole style instead of just recurling the strands that had come uncurled. I ended up coming home with 5 minutes to finish getting ready before my limo picked me up. Thanks to Illusions, I had an extremely stressful prom day, and I was very unhappy with the service. I will not be returning. Also, Illusions does not "guarantee" their color and they will charge you to fix any problems you have with your color UNLESS YOU BUY THEIR SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER which is about $30 bucks a pop. i have to say that when hear this place is aweful and fake, it is 100% true. the couple times i was there, i was so disgusted by the way they treated each other. you could just tell they were being fake not only towards each other but to you as well. i also knew someone who worked there and she verified that my perceptions of this place are true. The stylists there are taught to pressure you into buy, buy, buy, spend more, more, more and lie lie lie about how great of job they did even when they now they messed ur hair up. don't fall into their trap! more

I called to get a price on partial highlights and was told it started at $60.00. I got about 10 highlights on the crown but was charged $100.00. When we called to question this we were told it was $40.00 extra for each additional color, even though it was only 10 highlights. It looks okay but not great and I was out of there in an hour. So I think $100.00 for an hours work is really a ripoff. They also do pressure you to buy their productss, and it is very uncomfortable. Pros: none Cons: overpriced and pressured more

I just left Illusions Color Spa and I finally love my hair after leaving a salon!!! From the minute I walked in I was greeted warmly and greeted by my stylist and the manager whom both did my consultation!! We looked at many pictures and found the perfect color and haircut. The stylist was so friendly and the entire staff was great working together. Then I joined their club which is a great thing I am already getting a fifteen dollar certificate for my next visit!!! They did show me all the products but not in a pushy way, I need to know what they did use on me or else how am I going to beable to style my hair the same way my stylist did!!!! And to top it off they called me a few days later to make sure I was happy with my service and products that I bought. Overall great service and excellent customer service too. Overall experience was good, no complaints. However, I called and requested a Master Stylist and when I got there it was a totally different person than I was told on the phone. This ended up being just a regular stylist. If I was to be picky, would say someone with more and/or better experience would know that when your ends are lighter and very dry you shouldn't leave the color on them just as long as the rest of the hair, or better yet, use a lighter color on them because that?s the part that "takes" the most color deposit. I got everything I hoped for - and more. Yes, it was expensive, but I feel I got what I paid for. Two ladies took their time consulting with me, showing me lots of pictures, until they felt they knew what color I had in mind. I was impressed by how many pictures they had to show, which is sometimes the problem with cuts and color: you have something in mind, but don't know quite how to convey it to your stylist. I like how they "dry cut", which makes sense since your hair hangs differently when it's dry. And when I let the stylist know that my hair doesn't grow very fast and was nervous about having too much cut off, she delivered by only taking off what was absolutely necessary. Bottom line - compliments, great color and style, and a repeat customer. Pros: Lots of attention, desire to please, nice atmosphere. Cons: Took a little while. more

I received good color but a horrible cut, at a very inflated price. I was charged $25.00 extra for a color extender, but the color didn't last any longer than usual. There is also tremendous pressure to buy their products!! I gave in and bought some, but when I tried to return a few days later I was told I would only receive credit, even with receipt. They portray themselves as a top notch salon, but it is really like getting your hair done at the local strip mall salon. I bought the club membership which took forever to process, but never even ended using it as I quit going after 2 pressure filled visits. Unless you enjoy paying high prices with lots of pressure, I would not recommend this place!! more

I just left Illusions Color Spa and this was my third visit and I absolutely love the salon and all the girls there. I was reading the other reviews and I'm not understanding how they are complaining about the pricing, they do a consultation with you before they start your hair and go over pricing!!!!!! My hair has never looked this great before so if I look good I don't care what it costs, but it is very reasonable for a nice salon as it is!!!! Definetly join there club i've already saved $30.00 and got discounts on my products which I Love!!! Thanks Illusions Color Spa and for future clients this is a great salon that has transformed my hair to look amazing!! Definetly try it out like I said they go over pricing with you before they even start so there is no way you can be shocked by the prices. At my first visit, the price was fair and the club membership seemed like a good idea. With each visit the price of my color has increased. One visit my highlights were not noticable and I was charged over $100+. The last visit, the cost of highlights increased by $70, a total of $150 for partial highlights and it only took 1hr. I canceled the haircut due to the price increase but was still charged. I requested for the cost to be removed twice before it was taken off my bill. At that point the pressure to purchased products began. It's rediculous! After I refused twice to purchase products I am asked which products I want to purchase! I am in the process of finding a new stylist due to how uncomfortable I feel and not knowing what the cost will be at the next visit. My advice, give customers a good product and a FAIR price. I cannot imagine paying more for a hair color than a doctor visit! Pros: At times my color looks nice Cons: High pressure sales, at times the service is below average and very expensive more

Illusions Color Spa is amazing. They offer everything I could possibly want, I just got my eyelash extensions done and I keep getting so many compliments on them. They are fabulous and so easy to maintain. Now they are getting ready to offer botox, lipo dissolve, and a few others. My hair always looks amazing and all the girls are so friendly. My friend just got her hair extensions done at Illusions and they too look beautiful. You can not go wrong, they have the best customer service. They always call you to make sure you are happy with your services and call you to remind you of your next hair appt. I highly recommend Illusions Color Spa to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Illusions Color Spa is the best place. All of the stylists there are very talented and they have all been trained with the best education. They did an excellent job on my color and cut!! I am a client for life. They are definetly not over priced at all. The do excellent work and our very talented I think that there prices are very fair!!!!!! The entire staff works together as a team it is such a great atmosphere!!!! I highly recommend everyone experiencing the wonderful Illusions Color Spa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more
