Inexcusable costomer service, Filthy/damaged cars! 4/8/2012

THEY LEFT ME STRANDED AT A GAS STATION FOR OVER AN HOUR. I needed to fuel up and the fuel card did not work. Waited on hold for 25 minutes, finally Shonda came on and tried to help for a couple tries which failed. She said I need to see the cashier and she needed to take other calls. I told her to not leave me until we figured out the situation- then it happened the call hung up! I proceeded to call 2 other times. Each time took 20 minutes which ended up in the call going from elevator music to ringing phone call to me finally getting a busy signal. Unfortunately, I left my debit card at home so prayed I would make it home on gas fumes... which thankfully I did. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. On top of this the cars are filthy and usually damaged. This one obviously was in an accident recently. Zip cars are very well maintained and much better service. They cost a tad more but will only use them for now on. I-Go is just plain ghetto and expect a lot of issues including doors that wont electronically open in called weather which means... long hold times while you wait in freezing cold for them to open them. Really? I-go... Get your self together. I'm gone! more

Worst Customer Service 10/1/2008

I am not a fan of IGO after having a TERRIBLE experience with them. I reserved a car and couldn't get the doors to unlock for 20 minutes. I finally had to call a customer service representative who told me my reservation had not gone through even though I had an e mail confirmation of it. The woman on the phone finally unlocked the doors for me, but to the wrong car. When I reported that I would be returning the car later than the end of my reservation time (due to the 20 minute delay from not being able to get into the vehicle), I was told that I had a 5 minute grace period to get it back without being charged. \r The second time I called customer service was to get my login for the website. I was put on hold for 20+ minutes with no one ever coming back on the line. I cannot imagine having to be on hold this long everytime I need to make a phone reservation.\r There are many car locations that are convenient but, with the horrible customer service, you will never be able to drive any of them. Pros: Lots of car locations Cons: two very bad experiences with customer service more

Not as ""convenient"" as they claim 9/16/2008

I was using I-Go for quite some time, until a little over a year ago I had booked a car to pick up a friend at the airport. The car had not been returned to the lot where I had reserved the car. I panicked as I had just enough time for the drive to O'hare, but I calmly called I-go. I was put on hold for almost 20 minutes, then told they were unable to locate the car, and I could ""take a cab"" and then put in a request to be compensated later. I did not have an extra $100 to spend on a cab when I had booked a car for an afternoon. They were unable to get me another car, and the customer service was not what I had expected. While I understood it was not their fault that a user was delinquent, they could have been more helpful in accomodating the user who was a victim. \r \r I have heard fantastic things about Zip Cars as well, and found they have more locations and options. I highly recommend car sharing, I do not reccommend choosing I-go over Zip.\r Pros: Car sharing is cost effective Cons: Not enough done for customers when hassles arise more
