We ate here on a Saturday late afternoon. Other than being somewhat hard to find (it sits out on the end of a pier), we were pleased with everything at Pelican Landing. It was seafood, but it has much more and I would not consider it a traditional seafood restaurant. My wife and I each had blackened red snapper, one son had the fish burrito, and the other son had the jerk chicken sandwich. We had the fried conch fritters as an appetizer, which was nothing special. We also had a seafood chowder that was really good. It was priced ok, given the ambiance. We would go back. more

$28 FOR A DOZEN OYSTERS (THAT'S RIDICULOUS) And, a couple of them were green. Other than that, the food was good and the view spectacular. more

My girlfriend and I looked at urban spoon during our vacation to Fort Lauderdale for a good, affordable meal located on the water. The affordability and the location of this restaurant were excellent. \r \r However, this restaurant provided us with some of the worst service I had ever experienced. We sat in the outside section where we were told we could seat ourselves by one of the servers. We sat there for at least 10 minutes (without drinks or menus) until I finally got up and talked to a server asking if anyone would help us. He assured us he would be right with us.\r \r We ordered our drinks and our meals, including an appetizer which we requested to have before our meal. We received our drinks and continued to wait an unusually long time for our meal to come out. After a long wait, we received our meals and our appetizer at the same time. Our server apologized for this and assured us he would go and refill our drinks right away...\r \r Our refills on our drinks never came, and neither did our server. After eating our food, which contained cold and stale french fries, I approached a manager and explained the situation that just happened. She apologized and gave us a complimentary dessert for our troubles, which my girlfriend and I greatly appreciated. After we finished that, we waited at least another 15 minutes, and once again, nobody came to deliver our check. I had to, again, get out of my seat and walk to the bar to request this.\r \r As I stated before, this was definitely one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I have had. Especially after reading all the excellent reviews on urban spoon. Terrible service, not so good management, and sides of the entrees that were served cold and stale. \r \r You have been warned. more

Tilapia ceviche at a restaurant on a saltwater port? I couldn't order anything on the menu there or at the hotel after hearing that from the server because it indicates poor quality ingredients and a total disregard for local seafood. Tilapia is freshwater bottomfeeder, like catfish and thrives in polluted lakes. more

I concur, this is a hidden gem.\r \r As mentioned, this place is alittle hard to find. The best advice I can give is look for Steven Spielberg's big ass yacht the Seven Seas and this place is right behind it. Not much to this place, but what the dude or dudette is pumping out of that small kitchen is some good $hit.\r \r On two visits we had the conch fritters, shrimp cocktail, onions rings, and ceviche. the fritters were spot on, served in a small fry basket (see pic). There had a nice fluffy texture with nice pieces of conch dotted throughout. The shrimp cocktail were nice sized shrimp served with plantain chips (see pic). The onion rings had a nice batter that was not greasy at all (see pic). We asked for a side of ranch to dip them in. The ceviche was pretty solid (see pic). Made with tilapia, lime, etc... it packed a good flavor punch. This too was served with the plantain chips which I used to scoop out this heavenly mixture. You know what the best part about these apps were, they were half off....whoooo hooo! My wife and I went during happy hour, 4p-7p Monday thru Friday and certain drinks and apps are discounted. A guy who was sitting next to me at the bar ordered a cheese burger and that thing looked delicious.\r \r Service was excellent and the view was pretty killer even though Mr. E.T.'s yacht was blocking our view to the west.\r \r Just a great place to escape and enjoy why some of us are blessed to live in South Florida. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry! more

Very nice! 1/16/2010

Beautiful grounds and rooms. The room type varies...you can either stay in the main building which tend to have fancy rooms or you can stay in the garden rooms along the waterway which are very cozy and have a more tropical atomsphere. Either way it's a great place with a lot to do. more

After seeing the deck at this marina location from our tour boat (Carrie B) we decided to come back for lunch. Brilliant decision! \r \r The menu had several tempting offerings but the server endorsed our tentative selection f the fish burritos. Wow, they were great! We don't usually have the same menu item but this one really appealed to both of us. The fish was high quality, moist, tasty and at a good temperature. The plate had a nice black bean relish, corn chips and a mango dipping sauce that were Don't be put off by the parking hut and charges -- the restaurant validates. You can't see it from the parking area, just drive toward the water after entering Pier 66. After you park, walk all the way to the water pass the big yacht brokerage buildiing and turn right. PL is on the second floor of the smaller marina building. with water on 3 sides. more

Great Hotel! 11/6/2002

this hotel is very luxurious and modern at the same time. the check-in went through very smoothly. the lobby was not very big but the rooms are so comfortable and classy. I love the fact that their balconies are big too. Loved the marble sink. they have this great bar that spins on the rooftop- didn't get to check it out too much because we were underdressed but they did require you to pay $5 to get in. The swimming pool is great and the fact that they have turn down service is even better! chocolates after turn down is always a winner with me! It's only 10 mins or maybe even less to A1A which is where the beach and all the waterfront restaurants are. It's a great hotel! I recommend it. Pros: Starbucks, Comfortable, Great location Cons: $5 entry fee for bar, small lobby more
