In conjunction with the comment ""thinking twice before you eat at Hugo's,"" I went to the LA County Health website and looked up the violations myself. The vermin this person spoke of unfortunately are very hard to control. which is why the restaurant was closed, but it never said anything about ""prevention of entry,"" nor did it give exact reasons. It gives examples as to why they were in violation, but doesn't say specifically that they were using unclean untensils. In college, I worked as a server and as gross as it is, most restaurants have to struggle with controlling vermin. I eat at Hugo's regularly and was disappointed that it was closed for close to two months. During that time, they did a complete overhaul and remodel. The place looks great, but I think that it's louder now, which I'm not fond of. I was happy to see the same great menu and many of the same smiling faces. I can also say that I haven't seen a single insect, so I think that they have taken care of that problem.
Pros: Food, Service
Cons: Noise level, at night it's too dark
