So our AC unit decided to give up on us, and I remember one of our friends talking about Houston Admiral and how great they are. So, I looked them up, called their number, and they were out at the house in less than half an hour. The tech was definitely knowledgeable, and efficient, which me and my family really appreciated. I agree with my friend when he said, they do great work. more

I have written another ""review"" on another page under same name.....good God folks, if ya only knew what went on there on a daily basis. According to my sources ""johnny"" conley is apparently considering retirement....so he is ""training"" 2 of his 4 sons to take over. Both are in their twenties, drug users, rarely show up to work on time if at all, and have no business sense at all. The day to day operation is ran by ""johnny's"" wife kelly and a 20 something year old daughter in law(married to oldest son shawn) stephanie. While I here good things about kelly, stephanie is young and all this ""responsibility"" she has has gone to her head. Absolutely no business sense here at all but, since she is now a conley, automatically she knows everything about air conditioning and heating. Folks....do your self a favor....unless you want to pay for their marijauna and what ever other illegal drugs they use, pay for their porsche's, vettes, jaguars, and no, i am not kidding about these cars, along with what ever else they want to buy, stay away from this company.....rather than live a little more modestly, they want to make as much money as possible, by WHATEVER means necessary, then fire people rather than keep them on during trhe lean times.....the employee is supposed to be loyal to the company but that loyalty is not returned in the least by these owners......more later... Notice how two new ""reviews"" show up after i posted? Found out admiral has to hire companies to ""cleanup"" their internet reputation...amazing isn't it? instead of doing things right in the first place, they would rather do it their way and pay someone elst to clean up after them....lol, typical mindset of that place, believe me.... more

Unlike most people who use this forum to rant and rave, I have firsthand knowledge of the daily "goings on" of this so called air conditioning and heating company. They have no interest at all in repairing anything despite their claim to repair before replace.They cannot repair because they employ inexperienced techs...and they do this so they can be "trained" to sell equipment. In fact, the saying at Admiral is " a (insert part name here) comes with every new (insert component here). In other words, if you need a new capacotor for your condensing unit outside, a new one comes with every new condensing unit. Very funny except that a 20.00 (cost) capacitor could have repaired the problem.... but the tech gets a commision of at least 5-10 percent to sell a new condensing unit that costs you 5-6 thousand dollars. Understand the motive ? More to come at a later date..... more

All of the opinions that I have read here about how horrible this company is and I am very suspicious of the positive reviews. As angry as I was about the whole incident I wanted to forget about it. Reading these reviews made me recall my anger. I feel compelled to relay my horror story. They came into my house to do their famous $69.95 inspection. After their inspection they told us the heat exchangers in both of our units had to be replaced because they were rusted through and had to be replaced immediately.They had a tester with a camera that showed what they said was the inside to the heat exchanger. I suspected it was showing the inside of the exhaust pipe. They told me that it was the law that they had to disable the units until the heat exchangers were replaced. The total bill for the replacement for both units would amount to over $4000.00. They applied a lot of pressure for me to get them to do the work. I had a young baby in the house and it was going to be cold over the next few days, so I signed a service agreement on the spot for the services. When they left I got a second opinion and stopped them from performing the services. I followed the buyers remorse laws for stopping the contract and they continued to harass me for several months threatening to put liens on my property. I got the second inspection and Admiral had disabled both units. The heat exchangers were in excellent condition and are still in use and passing inspections after 4 years. more

Beware - Most of the good reviews seem to be bogus. Read all of them before deciding. I doubt that Admiral has ever really fixed anything. They came to my house to look at my AC when it stopped working. Lo and Behold, I needed a new attic unit for $3000. Silly me, I believed them and let them do the job. This year, they came out to look over the unit again when it quit working. This time I needed a new compressor unit for $5000. My unit is less than 5 years old. I got a second opinion -- I needed a new fan motor. I was up and running for $250. How can this business be still up and running with so many negative complaints? I am just sad I didn't research them before I spent the first wad o'cash. My mistake. more

I do run a stable customer service department, i do not run a phone room. I do have the normal amount of turnover nothing that is out of the ordinary. I am unsure of the two individuals that you are refering to. My contact number is 281- 895 - 8608. I would be more then willing to speak to you about who they are and clear the air of any ill will or feeling you may have had during your employment here. I am also unaware of any gossip. At least if there was you never brought it to my attention. You cant solve a problem if you do not know the question. Again i not sure of the situation with the owner coming down and yelling at a employee. Same offer stands give me a call i would love to clear things up with you. Efficient. They do what 12/16/2010

They came when they said they would and they did the job they were supposed to do. The technician recognized the problem immediately. In fact, he said he wished he had brought along trainee because it was the perfect example of what a broken unit looks like. The only issue we had was that the flue on the roof is way too tall. You can see it over the crest of the house and it looks weird from the street. Everything is working well but we will likely have them shorten the flue. Other than that, it was good. We have actually used Houston Admiral before in the past and we will continue to use them. more
