House Of Petals

I use lots of florist and designers for events. As soon as I meet the florists at House of Petals my life changed for the better. Their arrangements are completely unique. Don't make an orchid stand straight its much better lopsided. Sound silly, well they do it and they do it well. I think they do their best work on arrangements that are minimalistic. If I needed an English Garden this probably wouldn't be my place. But use your team to do what they do best. more

Thank you, onehousefan, for finding my favorite floral designer ever! Terri Star was my designer for 15 years in Malibu. It's true, she has that extra special something that makes her designs radiate. I'm so glad to know how I can reach her now. She's an icon in Malibu and so many of my friends and neighbors only did business with her. She touched so many lives with not only her flower arrangements, but with her genuine, loving way. I'm thrilled I can let this community knows she's now employed by House of Petals. more

It's rare that I'm drawn to write other then friend or family, but I HAD to commend you on the service I received from one of your designers. I believe her name is Terri Star. As soon as I walked in the store she greeted me so warmly, not in the normal buyer/seller way, but personally and genuine. Ahhh, what a welcomed lift to my spirit from a total stranger who through her simple greeting, ""Hello welcome to the house of petals..."" infused the up most respect, compassion, enthusiasm and value for me. I found it easy to put my order in her hands and KNEW she would use all of her integrity and artistry to carry through on my order. Pros: Service beyond the call. A life validating experience. more

I work for an interior design firm with an extremely touchy clientele, and we used House of petals for a last minute private party. We were blown away by the level of creativity and their ability to work within our budget and still create pieces that accented our decor and also added something of their own to the space. Their designer worked with me on the phone and even followed up after delivery to be sure we were happy. We have a short list of high-end florists we use from time to time and would feel confident adding them to our list for even the most particular clients. Pros: striking/eclectic design Cons: somewhat pricey, but you get what you pay for more

My order was late, and the situation was handled so poorly, I would never use them again. I was told my delivery would arrive by a certain time, and when it was 2 hours late, I called to find out where my flowers were, and received nothing but poor customer service. I was referred there by a friend and I must say, I was floored. I never looked at flowers this way and I was amazed at the talent and imagination they had. We are having a relatively small wedding but I still want it to be spectacular and I think this is just the ticket. This is totally worth going over budget for. This is the first time I have ever bothered to write a review on here, but I just had to because this place is amazing. I went to House of Petals on referral of a friend, and it is the most incredible flower store- actually more like a gallery- anyways, the space is beautiful and the arrangements were like nothing I have ever seen before. I wanted to make sure the arrangements I ordered for my wedding were actually like the ones I was shown, so I had my dad send a few to some friends and collegues and they were all spectacular. The pictures from my wedding were amazing and it was totally due to the embiance that the arrangements added. (Well, I mean, we looked good, too! lol) Anyway, thank you House of Petals! Thank you for the amazing ""living art"" you provided me, and especially for being so sweet and patient while I took forever to make decisions. I really appreciated it ! This place is undoubtedly the best florist in town. I am a wedding planner and have used all the big names in floral design in LA. One of my brides had been referred to House of Petals by one of her friends, since I had never used them before, I decided to go with her. To answer that you have to see the works of their main designer Jessie Zepeda. Busy in the back always arranging different styles, Jessie is a master of his craft. Every vase, bouquet, Orchid, or Rose is handled with the upmost care. Submerging flowers and twining them around in various ways you can't help but be amazed. Run under the watchful eye of Charity Hill House Of Petals cater to those who wish to send more than just flowers. When you see their special creations such as a centerpiece, in a hotel lobby, or in a home, you know you haven't gotten a regular handful of flowers, you have received a masterpiece, a work of art that will not only brighten your day but will make you feel like you are special and that House Of Petals made sure they put that specialness into each and every customer. I met with Charity (exec director) & Jesse (lead designer) for a bridal bouquet & boutonniere. I was upfront that I was probably not going to order much more from them since I spent so much on everything else. My first mistake was giving them my credit card number upfront. They made an unauthorized charge to my credit card for an unexplainable amount but couldn't figure out ""how it could've happened."" Hmm... At the wedding, I saw the monochromatic red bouquet in my bridal room & gushed over it. But later I saw the boutonniere - it was PURPLE. I was so happy & stress-free that I didn't let it bother me. After the wedding, I called as a courtesy to let them know that the delivery person must have given us someone else's boutonniere. I was disappointed but not angry. I asked Jesse about my ""plum"" (as he calls it) boutonniere. He said he'd look into it and call me back. 3 days went by, no call. I called at least 3 additional times trying to reach Charity this time & each time was told she'd be in ""shortly"" but she never was. Hmm... I left a message with my number but still no return call. All I wanted was a ""sorry for the mix up."" I trusted them on an important occasion & not only did they let me down, they didn't think it was important to take/return my call. It was my daughter's 21st on Sunday (yesterday) and I wanted something special. I wanted something more than the usual interflora type of florist shop arrangement. I love the arrangements and style house of petals produces. I read the other reviews and some simply are lacking all reason. I did spend a pretty penny for the arrangement i ordered but the money was well spent. The arrangement i recieved was new and exciting, not an old grandmother arrangement you might get any place else. The arrangement was a success and my mother was grateful. The arrangement lasted as long as any cut flower arrangement should. I just put that in there because of a review i read. If you want a arrangement to live and thrive buy a tree and plant it. $100 for one stem of orchids and some rocks. One flower! WHAT A RIPOFF! And attitude. They simply DON'T DO arrangements for under $100. Clearly, the actress/model/FLOWER-SELLER on the phone does not want to deal with someone who might not (or might, oh ignorant one) be able to help her still-stalled movie career. The delivery was late, too; probably a latte deficiency. I don't know who is posting the raves about this place, but I relied on them and got ripped off. I could have gotten a better arrangement with less attitude and a lower price at Ralph's, and still had enough to buy a nice bottle of Veuve. Cons: attitude. price. more

I called them later in the day for a client of mine who wanted to surprise his girlfriend. House of Petals went above and beyond the call of duty to get a gorgeous arrangement together and deliver it within the hour. After searching through the mundane flower arrangements that most flower shops have to offer I was delighted to stumble across House of Petals. The arrangement I chose was beautifully and artistically arranged. On top of that, the flowers have now lasted for 5 days! My husband was delighted with the arrangement since it wasn't too girlie and more artistic looking. The customer service was extremely impressive. Both the designer and delivery man were courteous and very helpful. They also took my last minute delivery which was a real life saver. House of Petals has become my official flower shop!
