HARP 2.0 Refinance 8/19/2012

I began looking a HARP 2.0 refinances in December 2011. After requesting quotes from sseveral banks, many of whom did not offer HARP refis, I spoke with several mortgage brokers. I foud that with the exception of Mike Owens, they either were less familiar with the HARP program than I was or weren't interested in HARP refis. Mike was very familiar wih the program and understood how and when my property would become eligible. he rae was excellent, and he the closing was hassle free, with a notary coming to my house to obain the signatures. I would reccommend anyone looking at HARP refis give him a call. more

It has been several years since I bought a property, so I was taken by surprise at the complexity and cautiousness of the lending industry these days. As intimidating and frustrating as that has become, I must say that Rhonda Cameron and Jeanette Eassy of Horizon Financial were fantastic in helping me navigate through the process and securing the mortgage for my retirement home in South Carolina. They made contacts with my realtor, insurance companies, and anyone else involved to keep the ball rolling and get everything together for a successful closing. Great Rate on 30 year fixed FHA loan Refinance 8/17/2012

I was impressed with the service on my 30 year FHA refinance by Horizon financial Services (in particular Mike Owens). I was able to get significantly better rate than my current rate and almost no closing cost. Mike spent time to understand clearly what was expected and delivered. more

Need to work on Basics - Communication, Documentation and Customer Satisfaction 7/24/2012

We have done this three time now and each time seems to strain the issues again and again. Preparation of the forms and documents was not as smooth as in the past. It seemed as if all he players are just in it for the money and very little concern over the individual to be making the payments. We did not get notified of any amount to take to closing until an hour before the closing. Seems a bit much for over two months of work. more

I really appreciate how Mike Owens helped me with my recent re-fi. Sometimes loan docs force you to jump back and forth to see what items are included in which amounts, but he patiently explained each amount to me so we could double-check everything. more

I had done refinancing before, and thought I know what Im doing, but for various (technical) reasons this time around it was not the same. The reason I started with that is because, this time it took long time to get through the process but it was beyond Mike's control, and even with that looong process, Mike was always at his best and very patient. He always made me feel comfortable and kept me up to date with all the things going on in great details. He always responded to my many many questions immediately and with all possible details. He is very flexible & accommodating. Im very impressed with his customer service and will highly recommend him. more
