Gary from Horizon Financial is THE MAN to see when needing financing for a house! 9/20/2011

I had bought a house just before the market tanked and then had to move and buy another house just 2 years later right in the middle of all the housing mess. The changes to the mortgage process was significant and Gary with Horizon Financial was on top of it all and helped navigate it about as best as possibly could be done. I can not imagine trying to go theough all the hoops without his specific guidence. He is extremely knowledgable and is always looking to make your loan details benefit you as much as possible. Do NOT make the mistake by going anywhere else!!! more

A mortgage is complex and although we had bumps they were all ultimately resolved. RESPONSE FROM Horizon Financial Inc: Mark: Thanks for the review. The days of "no documentation" loans are far gone and yes, it is more complicated. The lenders give us a list of items they require after reviewing the applicaiton. The sooner we get the requested items to close your loan, the faster we can get it cleared to close so teamwork is very important. We look forward to working with you in the future again and hope you will recommend us to your friends. more

I found Horizon while performing an internet Refi rate search. At first I was a bit concerned as I'd never heard of them, but after more searching for complaints or compliments, they checked out fine. My experience was easily as good as any prior, and better than most. Usually I find some unpleasant surprise at closings, but not this time. Any surprises were all in my favor. Highly recommend. more

Prompt, Personal Service 9/13/2011

I originally contacted Horizon through Bankrate.com. I quickly received an email directly from Mike Owens and not a typical auto-generated email response. Mike was very well informed and was able to recommend the best solution for my husband and I. I received very prompt and personal service from both Mike and LeighAnn Langston, our loan processor. LeighAnn stayed on top of the situation with the lender. We even benefitted from a float-down in our rate as the lender took a bit longer to settle! more

I found Horizon Financial and Scott Fowler through positive online reviews and engaged him. From the start, I was impressed by his professionalism, his excellent communication style, and by the lack of double talk. He earned my trust and maintained it throughout the transaction by always backing up his commitments. First, he got me an amazing rate. Second, he and his staff (Donna Duckett and Christy Roth) were always available when we needed them. We, of course, decided to refinance our home during one of the most under-the-lender microscope periods in history.
