Honorable Mathew Harter

This demon needs to be terminated as a judge. My son has attempted suicide because this monster refuses to read the facts of the case. He thinks he's God and has no interest in doing the right thing. He's currently under investigation for FRAUD!!! more

Contradicts himself at every turn. Orders outside assessments, then completely ignores the recommendations from the outside psych. The other parent was given children medication not prescribed to them and he said "i'm not a social worker". Terrible awful judge. If you get him, try to get a new judge. more

I represented myself because I felt I knew my case better than any lawyer I could hire. I filed my counter motion and awaited court date. Judge Harter was amazing. He looked at both sides and judge Harter did the right thing. He questioned the opposing counsel as to why we were there and advised the opposing counsel that all he could do was judge on what’s inside the 4 corners of the stipulation order. He told opposing counsel that I was doing everything correct, that I would not have to pay their attorney fees and that I was not in contempt of court. This case went exactly how I thought it should. Thanks again for being a straight forward judge. You would be lucky to have judge Harter hear your case. more

I'm being forced to move across the country because Harter denies every motion I put in to see him and ultimately gave jurisdiction of my son to Kentucky. With no right! I need help and don't know where to turn and my son's the victim here!! He is born and raised in Las Vegas more

This judge does not read files, he does not do what is in the child's best interest. He is rude and acts like sitting on the bench is a burden. He suggested a child advocate for the case and then did not even listen to what the 3rd party suggested. Instead he does what he wants and not what a social worker/therapist thinks is in the best interest of the child.This man is a disgrace to the judicial system. DO NOT RE-ELECT THIS JUDGE!!! Please do your research and look at all of the horrible things he is doing to families. more

Judge Mathew Harter is a disgrace to the American Judicial System. Honorable should be stripped from his title. So many children will have distraught lives because of this man. So sad. Yes Please do not re-elect this Judge! He should be brought up on charges and placed in prison for his continuous wrongdoings! more

Judge Harter has kept two innocent little girls from seeing their Father for over 4 years now. The Father has solid evidence that the Mother is not "the better" parent and solid documents including police reports where the Mother of the children clearly lied yet Harter continues to take her side in court. Judge Harter is requesting a Child Reunification Evaluation that would work out AWESOME for the Father if he could afford the minimum $8000.00 evaluation but since the Father can not afford the evaluation he can not see his children or bring forth another motion for child custody. Two little girls who need their Daddy are missing out on having their Father in their life! So sad! more

Yes I agree 100 % this judge Harter does not have a clue about family court! He is rude he thinks his God he does not even ready the case before making a decision and get furious if you tell him his wrong or that he had said something he will denied it! went up to him 3 times I had domestic violence the father of my 6 years old and his new wife slash my tires ,broke into my home file false accusation and when I told the judge straight out told me In front of my ex-husband THEIR NOTHING I CAN DO TO STOP HIM! I judge basically gave him green light to continue his assaults and domestic violence and on top of that gave him visitation rights with my 6 years every weekend for 3 days even though he was drug tested and came back positive for meth and is a heavy drinker! Yes this is Judge Matthew Harter the one that destroys children and peoples life with his unknown decision making. more

I've witnessed many cases throughout the United States and attended a few for some of my college classes. I've witnessed this Judge in action and he stands for everything that is wrong with the Nevada Justice system I don't know how he is still a judge. He is extremely rude, obnoxious and his rulings can be absured. My wife had two valid cases that she had in front of him and he ruled against both. This is a Judge who doesn't look at the bigger picture and who I'm sure treats cases like a cattle farm, IN AND OUT don't let me see you again. He probably doesn't even read through all the files that are presented infront of him and hope to god you have a lawyer he likes because if you don't you are automatically screwed. He should not be a Judge. He has no idea some of the decision he makes how it effects the outcome of a childs life, a parents life, and other lives. Judge Matthew Harter is a dirt bag and should not be in a legal system. He should be a ambulance chaser versus a Judge. more
