This was my first visit to the The Honolulu Pet Clinic. The Clinic was highly recommended by several friends. I was not disappointed. I was greeted with smiles by such caring receptionists and they explained in detail the pricing for the services that my cat needed. Upon entering the exam room, I immediately noticed how clean the room was kept. I waited for a couple of minutes and Dr. Kondo entered. He was very professional, on the serious side, yet... very warm and caring. He was very exact in explaining the surgery and thoroughly answered all my questions. I certainly didn't feel rushed. Thank you so much for the care that you gave to my rabbit. I had no clue that my rabbit was dying. You took care of my rabbit with warmness and dignity, genuine kindness. I was very happy that my rabbit's final stage was under professional care and took a final breath watched by professional staff and also you took care of after rabbit death. It also touched me by the card you sent. I was grieving of the loss of my rabbit, It's good feeling to know that someone was caring about my rabbit and me. It was very nice touch. Dr. Kondo's prices are no more or less than any other vetenarian for the same service. He;s been taking care of our pets for over 25 years, so i believe he's doing something right. Yes, he's less personable than some, but he's one of the best in diagnostics. And if he wasn't a truly caring man he wouldn't have the staff to back him up! more

The staff at the Honolulu Pet Clinic were so very professional and caring. Dr. Roger Kondo is so knowledgeable. He truly is no nonsense which i like...none of the stupid chit-chat that is unrelated to your visit He treated my dog with care and concern, I just happened to be at Safeway and saw the Honolulu Pet Clinic sign in Young Street. So, I was a walk-in. the satff informed me I would wait about 20 minutes...which i did and didn't mind because the Clinic was so clean ans beautifully decorated. I now have a new vet and my dog, Sadie loves Dr. Kondo. Thank you for your wonderful, caring service. more

Dr. Kondo and his staff are just like old friends they are friendly and helpful. Even when I came late to pickup some Heart worms pills for my dogs they let me in and helped me get the medications I needed. My parents also taje their dogs here and they always remember my dogs and other pets as well as my parents pets. Dr. Kondo is very compassionate and gives us the alternatives as well as preventative measures. more

My wife and I recently purchased a champion line french bulldog and we wanted the best care. We called and asked around about many different Veternarian offices that could give us what we wanted-we then chose Honolulu Pet Clinic. As our first time being in the office we did not know quite what to expect but we left with MUCH more then we expected and here is why. From the moment we walked into the office we were greeted with genuinely happy personnel. That means a huge deal to us because we are in the service industry and we know how much that means to customers. The staff is very welcoming and treated our puppy like a champion. I am not so great with names but EVERYONE who was there working on January 27th 2011 deserves a special nod of appreciation and many thanks for making us feel so comfortable. Dr.Kondo was very personable and answered the many, many questions that we had. He and his staff are people who generally care for each individual pet. Talking with Dr. Kondo was like talking to an old friend. He sat with us and thoroughly examined our Frenchie and explained what is good, what is okay and what is bad for our Frenchie. In these bad economic times it's nice to see people who actually care about their clients. We left feeling like we could not have chosen a better office for our puppy. I HIGHLY recommend the HONOLULU PET CLINIC. The prices are very fair. more

Dr. Kondo is wonderful with our Pomeranian, Chloe, even though she gets antsy when we take her to the pet clinic. He always shows sincere concern for her and is very patient with both her antics and our questions.\r \r Chloe has pancreatitis and has had acute attacks over the years, and Dr. Kondo and his staff have been successful in treating her every time. From the front desk to the ""nurses"" who walk the boarded animals, everyone at the Honolulu Pet Clinic is friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.\r \r UPDATE: Dr. Kondo and his staff just saved Chloe's life. I don't know what we would've done without them. They were amazing. more

I've been a long time client of the Honolulu Pet Clinic. My dog lived a long, healthy life of 18 years. I credit this to Dr. Kondo and his staff. When our dog passed away from old age, Dr. Kondo was very caring and compassionate. The Clinic sent flowers and a condolence letter to our family. Some of the other comments regarding the clinic and Dr. Kondo sound like they have another agenda. Our family has had exceptional, caring, loving service. more
