Nice and Efficient 3/30/2011

Yesterday my friend and I dropped by to see if we could pick up some Nutri-cal and Laxatone for our pets. The gal at the front desk greeted us and pointed out where those items were located. She efficiently gave us our total and we were merrily on our way. I haven't brought my pet in to see either of their vets, but I do like the layout of their waiting area and the fact that it smells clean. They have adequate parking stalls out front and the front desk staff also seemed quite nice and efficient. Definitely not one of those intimidating clinics to step into. I may not switch Veterinarians, but this is a place that I would return to if I needed pet items in a pinch. more

Compassionate and knowledgable 3/8/2011

""We have been seeing Dr. Konda since Kuri, my shihtzu/chihuahua mix had cherry eye. Prior to Dr. Kondo, we had seen 3 other vets and none of them could provide explanations, alternatives, and reassurance that I needed as a first time dog owner. Upon seeing Dr. Kondo, he explained what was going on and gave me alternatives, which included short-term solutions. In the end we opted to do surgery on Kuri's eye and he did a great job!!! My first impression of Dr. Kondo, and it still holds true until today is that I find him to be a very compassionate and knowledgeable doctor. His staff are equally caring and open to share the knowledge they have. I like taking my dogs to Dr. Kondo because I am confident and trust in him as well as his staff to provide the best quality of care for my lifelong companions and friends. I cant thank them enough 2/14/2011

Thank you so much for the care that you gave to my rabbit. I had no clue that my rabbit was dying. You took care of my rabbit with warmness and dignity, genuine kindness. I was very happy that my rabbit's final stage was under professional care and took a final breath watched by professional staff and also you took care of after rabbit death. It also touched me by the card you sent. I was grieving of the loss of my rabbit, It's good feeling to know that someone was caring about my rabbit and me. It was very nice touch. I just want to let you know. Thank you so much for everything. more

They are more 1 on 1 with the patients 2/1/2011

The office staff there are all very friendly. Dr. Kondo is also nice too. Their office is very clean and he did a thorough healthy bunny exam on her when I first brought her in. He was gentle with her and seemed to care. He sent me home with handouts about rabbit care from a database on file in his office. He provided me with information on my rabbit and was more knowledgeable than the previous vet I had seen. more

One word: Amazing 1/26/2011

Dr. Kondo is wonderful with our Pomeranian, Chloe, even though she gets antsy when we take her to the pet clinic. He always shows sincere concern for her and is very patient with both her antics and our questions. Chloe has pancreatitis and has had acute attacks over the years, and Dr. Kondo and his staff have been successful in treating her every time. From the front desk to the """"nurses"""" who walk the boarded animals, everyone at the Honolulu Pet Clinic is friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. UPDATE: Dr. Kondo and his staff just saved Chloe's life. I don't know what we would've done without them. They were amazing. more

i love it here 1/11/2011

We went here after getting a beautiful dog. the first vet we saw was Dr Jan and she was very knowledgeable and kind and we could tell she loved our dog she petted her (she was very nervous and peed on the floor; Dr Jan said it happens all the time.) she gave us lots of good advise on housebreaking our PUPPY. more

Very compassionate Doctor. 12/30/2010

Dr. Kondo and his staff are just like old friends they are friendly and helpful. Even when I came late to pickup some Heart worms pills for my dogs they let me in and helped me get the medications I needed. My parents also take their dogs here and they always remember my dogs and other pets as well as my parents pets. Dr. Kondo is very compassionate and gives us the alternatives as well as preventative measures. more

He has a different type of personality but to me it's funny. They're a bit on the expensive side, but their clinic is really really clean. I've been to another pet clinic and it was sooooo dirty! more

GREAT VETERINARIAN 12/8/2010

Dr. Kondo's prices are no more or less than any other vetenarian for the same service. He's been taking care of our pets for over 25 years, so i believe he's doing something right. Yes, he's less personable than some, but he's one of the best in diagnostics. And if he wasn't a truly caring man he wouldn't have the staff to back him up! more
