Was very unhappy with how inappropriate my wife was treated by a certain physician's assistant during an examination . It was a bad experience for both of us and we will never go back there . more

Would not recommend this clinic. Moved to the area recently and was given the name of a Dr. Nelson. Called and gave all my information to the appointment clerk who stated she need insurance to verify only to be called back over an hour later to be told Dr. Nelson would not take me. His information on the web site stated he is accepting a limited amount of new patients. Should not ask for any information nor should you keep a patient waiting. Extremly poor judgement. more

The best place for you and your family 3/12/2012

My family and I have been going to this Dr's group since we moved here in 1991. I have never had a problem with any of the personnel. They are bright, cheerful, and caring. IN fact one of the reasons for my loyalty is that the scheduling staff really tries hard to work a person in. I have watched as the greeter opened doors for those who could not do it themselves. I have seen the staff walk the elderly to their car under an umbrella when it rains. The waiting rooms are bright and airy, and there is a significant amount of space devoted to children. Sometimes you do have to wait for the doctor, but that is because he/she will spend the time needed in order to get you feeling better. The most important part of this group is that if I can't see my doctor (Overman), then I feel confident in seeing any of the PAs or the other doc's who work in her place. The paperwork is always up to date, and when I donated a kidney several years back, my doctor was able to provide much needed information to the transplant specialist who said that it was the best medical information that he'd ever received from the giver's doctor. I don't know whether they are taking any new patients, but this is the place to go if you can get in. It is worth your time, energy, and patience. more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! 2/13/2012

The doctor's here are great but the receptionist are TERRIBLE!!!!! The absolute worst customer service ever! They are rude beyond belief...patients go in there feeling like death and the the receptionist are the first contact that patients have with the doctors office. They should be sweet, caring and at the very least nice. I used to live in San Marcos when I went to school and on several occasions over a few years I had to visit their office and dreaded it because from the moment you call to the moment you check in the receptionist make you feel awful. The doctors need to fire these girls and hire people who have the sensibility to be respectful and friendly to their clients. more

RUDE, RUDE RECEPTIONIST 11/2/2011

I love my Dr. but I HATE to call the office. I can ALWAYS COUNT on the receptionist to be very rude, cold and unfriendly. Even if you try and be extra nice to them they cannot be nice back, believe me I have tried. I totally agree I am going to start complaining These are women who do not appreciate their jobs and think they are doing us a favor by answering the phone. Very dissappointed that so many people feel this way . more

Horrible Receptionist 4/27/2011

We are new to New Braunfels, having just moved from Katy, Tx. My husband is a retired police officer and has Aetna Medical. He looked up the list of Family Practioners and we went to the Hill Country Medical Assoc on 774 Landa St. to see about making an appt with any of the 8 physicians at that clinic. Aetna has this clinic listed as accepting new patients. We were greeted immediately buy a receptionst with a snotty attitude, as though we were beneath her. She stated they were NOT accepting new patients, but she would fill out a request form and pass it around to all the Drs to see if anyone of them would accept him as a new patient. She said she would let us know within 2 or 3 days. She called the next day and stated they were not accepting patients. Not a problem we had already left there and went to another facility and made an appointment. The thing that makes me madest is they post they are accepting new patients, and their brochure clearly states New Patients Welcome. That my friends is clearly a lie. I would like to know what is their criteria for being a new patient, why is their brochure in contradiction with their policy. I called to talk with an office manager and he has not yet returned my call. There are more than likely better clinics around. So dont need them anyway. Disgrunteled more

Horrible Receptionist Service 2/4/2011

While I adore my doctor who is part of this practice, nearly every visit I have made to Hill Country Medical Clinic, I've found the check in receptionists to be short with the patients and sometimes, downright rude or condescending. This is the same for those who make appointments or take messages for the doctors. Someone needs to splurge and send these folks to a sensitivity training class or demand they treat the SICK people that are checking in or calling with dignity and respect. My last visit, I heard the couple in front of me waiting to check in say the same thing so I knew then it wasn't just me. I hope more people speak up and say something (tell your doctor, write the office manager!) to push for change. You're already feeling bad when you arrive and to be greeted with attitude isn't appreciated or necessary. I'm sure there are ""nicer"" people in need of work who would be happy to do the job with a smile. more
