While I adore my doctor who is part of this practice, nearly every visit I have made to Hill Country Medical Clinic, I've found the check in receptionists to be short with the patients and sometimes, downright rude or condescending. This is the same for those who make appointments or take messages for the doctors. Someone needs to splurge and send these folks to a sensitivity training class or demand they treat the SICK people that are checking in or calling with dignity and respect. My last visit, I heard the couple in front of me waiting to check in say the same thing so I knew then it wasn't just me. I hope more people speak up and say something (tell your doctor, write the office manager!) to push for change. You're already feeling bad when you arrive and to be greeted with attitude isn't appreciated or necessary. I'm sure there are ""nicer"" people in need of work who would be happy to do the job with a smile.
