Hickory Towing

Hickory Towing and owner Matthew Cilento,run a very unprofessional, unethical and border line criminal bussiness.Not only has he not upheld the conditions and stipulations set forth in his application to conduct business in the city of chesapeake, dated may 13,2015,but has decided to lie to customers about what they need to get a vehicle released and or personal items out of vehicle.Seems Mr.Matthew Cilento goes by whatever is working for him that day instead of following law set down by the state.He is rude, unapproachable, very unprofessional, and border line thug.stay away.how many more people have to get lawyers, and State police involved to simply get back what is rightfully theres. more

After being at the beach all day with two 11 year olds, we were heading to dinner in Virginia Beach when our truck hit something in the road and blew out. We had never used our spare and it wouldn't release from the cable. Several people tried to help without success. AAA said someone would be there in 2 hours which turned into 4. One lovely couple called their friend Matt who owned Hickory Towing and even though he doesn't usually come to the area we were in, he did. Matt picked up a tire from his shop, brought it to us and put it on for us. He was very professional and friendly. We didn't get home until after midnight but had it not be for Matt, we wouldn't have got home that night. I highly recommend Hickory Towing! Thank you Matt! more

God help anyone who has the misfortune of dealing with Matt from Hickory Towing. For someone being in this profession, his demeanor is lacking to say the least. Our friends car was wrongfully towed by him and instead of explaining calmly what happened or working with us to fix the problem he was rude, condescending, insulting, and hung up the phone twice when the conversation didn't go his way. Fortunately our apartment complex reimbursed the towing fee because they understood we were not at fault. But for anyone looking to hire a towing company I highly recommend against Hickory Towing. I'd give zero stars if possible more

We were In virginia beach on vacation, stranded with 3 kids , in the rain, called hickory towing and they were there in 20 min and towed us to a tire store. more

These guys are very unprofessional and rude,if you need a tow call someone else!!! more

Long story short, we were having an unfortunate day of car trouble and were stranded almost two hours from home. There were five of us in the car, including a baby. The owner of the company showed up to get the vehicle. He was kind enough to call a friend at a local repair shop to get our vehicle fixed that day and even arranged for all of us to have transportation to the repair shop. He went above and beyond to help us and for that we are so thankful. more
