Best Vet in Santa Rosa 6/2/2011

I've been going to Heritage and Dr. Paul for 11 yrs with my kitties. They are knowledgeable, thorough, and on top of the latest research. They take an excellent history which provides the needed material for a proper diagnosis. Dr. Paul will explain in detail and answer questions so that you can make an informed choice if a procedure needs to be done. The staff are enthusiastic about working there with customers and animal clients. They are fun and helpful. I highly recommend them for integrity, knowledge, good humor, and true caring for you and your pets. more

Great Pet Care Here! 6/2/2011

It's been 11 years that I've been bringing my cats here. Dr. Paul is a great vet he's always up on new research, presents the pros and cons to any treatment and walks you through each possibility so you can make a choice. The staff there are terrific, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and enjoyable! Everyone is courteous and all clearly love animals. You won't be disappointed. more

Best Vet In California 5/12/2011

Dr. Palmatier and his staff have been taking care of our animals for over 25 years now. We live 3 hrs. away and choose to drive this distance for a reason. We want the best possible care for our animals (children!) and will settle for nothing less! The care, love and honesty in regards to treatment options is very much appreciated. Thank you Dr. Palmetier and Thank You Staff!! more

So happy to have found Heritage! 5/6/2011

We've been taking our dogs to Heritage for 14 years now and are always impressed with the kind and caring staff. Dr. Palmatier is thorough, incredibly knowledgeable and very gentle with the animals. He is practical and realistic when evaluating testing and treatment options, but is always sensitive to both pet and owner's needs. I would not consider taking our dog anyplace else. more

Great Vet 12/20/2010

I've used Heritage with Dr. Palmatier for 10 years now. He is very knowledgable, thorough and caring about his clients. He does explain everything he knows about your pet's condition - which means you may have to ask questions to be able to understand what he's said. But, he takes the time and answers them. My pets have received excellent care from him. more

great vet and staff 3/22/2010

I've been thru many vets until I found one that has very little staff turn over. The staff at Heritage are all friendly, knowlegable & wonderful.The vet speaks "with" me not down to me as others have & he is very knowledgable. I've had many pets of diff. types & heritage has been my pets' vet since 2004. My only regret is not having found them sooner. more

Great Vet 3/14/2010

Good: Saved me A LOT of money on procedures recommended by other vets that were unnecessary. Listens to owner. Friendly and professional staff. Thorough exam based on symptoms. Will find the most cost effective route and tell you--no unnecessary test until they become necessary. Will tell you the bare minimum and the maximum cost and how we get there. Explains in detail what procedures are needed, why, possible outcomes, and the results. Takes awesome care of pets!. Bad: Dr Palmatier tends to speak in Medical terms and I just stare at him blankly as I have no clue what it is he is saying. And yet, if I ask, he will explain so I don't walk out in a fog.. Other: Dr Palmatier came highly recommended from my previous vet whom I was extremely satisfied with--I trust my previous vet's opinion and have had nothing but good experiences at this office.. more

Don't take your pet to this clinic 2/5/2009

If you do, you'll feel riped off afterwards. That was my experience anyway. Dr. Paul .. did not take the time to check my pet. He bases his diagnostic on what you say. If you don't know what's wrong with your pet, he won't either. My advice: stay away from him. The staff is friendly though, as to compansate for the rude doc. more

The vet here does not care about your pet or about you! Don't go here! 4/9/2006

I will never go to this vet again, not even if they are the last vet on earth. They are the worst vet office I have ever been to. The vet in charge is one of the rudest men I have ever met - if your animal is sick he will stand there and tell you everything you have ever done wrong and how awful you are, even if it is something you obviously had no control over. His advice from the very begining is that you should put the animal down - not because he knows what is wrong with the animal, but because he is worried you won't be able to pay him otherwise! The technicians/receptionists are equally rude and judgemental, and completely insensitive. They and the doctors constantly try to sell you every product under the sun, from pet tooth brushes to flea bombs to pet food. My experience here was so horrific that I don't think I will ever forget it. I was clearly upset because my kitty was dying of FIP and they were busy trying to sell me things and telling me what an awful person I was, even though my kitty was sick with a virus given to him by another cat! I finally burst into tears right in the middle of the waiting room. On top of that the doctors don't have any idea of what they are talking about. Everything this doctor said to me was contradicted by ever other vet I went to after, and the vet talks in lingo you cannot possibly understand unless you have some sort of medical background. Take your pet anywhere but here! more
