I purchased my Vermont Casting Montpelier Wood Insert several years ago from Heat n' Sweep and couldn't be happier. The Insert itself is a great product; it works wonderfully and keeps my home at a very comfortable temperature. more

I have had several knee surgeries in this past year, and I have been trying everything possible to bring down the amount of pain and swelling. My wife suggested that I look at some hot tubs and the effect that they can have on ones body. So I did just that. I found several dealers around the area, but one caught my eye that I had to have. Arctic Spa has a lot of great choices of tubs and an extensive list of accessories to choose from. I came across a store in Okemos called Heatn?sweep. I called them and told them of my situation and they suggested that I come into the store and try out their wet spa. I was in the store the next day, which was Sunday! My wife and I brought our bathing suits and relaxed in the hot tub. I enjoyed the tub for a good half an hour, and then was greeted with a delicious hot beverage when I was done. The staff was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I came back to the store later that week with pictures of where I wanted to place the tub and measurements. Thanks to the Heatn?sweep staff I found the perfect tub for my family. Now my day begins with a 20-30 min massage and my knee no longer is a problem. I would highly recommend everyone to do business at this store. My wife and I sincerely thank all of you. more

I needed a new fireplace in my home for several years. So as many people do these days, I researched on the web and came across a veteran store named Heat ?n Sweep. The sales staff was very professional. Square footage of my house, efficiency of my soon-to-be insert, scheduling of the installation and even what type of flames I wanted my insert to have. To add the icing on the cake, they offered us refreshments. All and all I was very impressed with the beautiful store and its uplifting atmosphere. I have been a patron at this store since 1991. I have spent over $25,000 in their store since that time. Years ago I think they sought after and sold quality products. I don't beleive that is the case anymore. Over the past 5 years I have purchased a $15,000 hot tub and several outdoor items including tables, chairs and numerous, 4 to be exact, umbrellas. The quality is just not the same anymore. The chairs which are very expensive break all the time. The owner says its becausee people today are too fat for their chairs. He likes to make excuses for things when they break. One might expect that from Wallmart but not Heat and Sweep, when you consider their prices. more

My hot tub was old and broke....Its was time to find a new one so we started to search online. I came across a store called Heat N' Sweep in Okemos, MI. The company had a great website with all kinds of products and information. We came into the store and was treated so nicely and with so much respect. The sales staff brought us refreshments and really just sat and talked with us. They didn't try to pressure me or try to sell me something more than I needed. I went with the an Arctic hot tub, which was made to withstand all weather conditions, and was one of the only hot tub companies to sell products all across the world! The installers came with my new tub and removed my old hot tub so I didn't have to deal with it! This is a great company, and now I can see why they have been in business so long! more

My wife and I searched the net for places to go for solutions for our fireplace which was not doing anything heat wise and we came across Heat 'N Sweep in Okemos. Let me tell you we had the best experience they showed us several different options there was wood gas electric almost too much and a little confusing at first. But we had wonderful people helping (yes more than one) after a few minutes of product we were brought drinks and my kids were being entertained by the staff. In the end we choose a gas insert from Mendota (which was a little more than we found a couple other places but they did not have the service not even close to what they offered us at Heat N Sweep so we were ok with paying a little more) in about a week they sent someone over form Applegate to do a pre-inspection of our fireplace. I couldn?t believe they sent a trained professional from a gas company to do a re-inspection I was very impressed. About a week later the same gentleman came to do my installation he was there for a few hours and made sure all the work was done. He left my home very clean and tidy he made sure I was aware of how the whole thing worked he even programmed my remote control. What a great unit and the heat it kicks out man I don?t know why I waited so long to put this in we have not had our heat up that high and we have had one of the coldest winters I can remember. I will most surley go back and purchase from them again. Much to my amazement they sell patio furniture and grills. My wife completely fell in love with this huge spa that i am sure we will end up putting on the financing account they set up for us. I couldn?t have asked for a better overall experience. I strongly recommend this company for any of your home needs. I asked them about few things they don?t sell and the ladies there made sure I knew where to go to get them. What more can you ask for. I one thing positive I can say about my experience with Heat n Sweep is that it is pleasant shopping there. They serve you soft drinks while you look around, and seem to know their products well enough to sell them. However, should you require anything in the way of technical information, or if you intend to install any of their products yourself, I strongly suggest that this is not the place to go. Pros: Nice looking store. Cons: Zero support for the products they sell. more

This misdiagnosis caused us a whole summer of smelling soot. Plus $800 on a futile vent cleaning which they recommended. Cannot be a less happy customer. more
