I do not really understand all of the great reviews. My daughter and I went to Headcase and both of our cuts looked like they were done at a ""chop shop"" salon. I took in picture...

I have been getting my haircut by becca for quite a while now and I will never go anywhere else! it is the best haircut I have ever had and all of the staff is very friendly. more

Best Salon in Indy 5/6/2010

I've been going to Headcase for 2 1/2 years! The service is awesome. Melissa McCoy, owner,extremely talented. I especially love my extensions. She is one of the only extension stylists in Indiana certified with Mark Barrington of California. If your thinking about extensions, you need to learn about her products. No one can tell the difference between my hair and the extensions... She is also certified in Nova Lash extensions...just had them done for the first time last week...extremely natural looking....I just turned fifty and am enjoying treating myself with a few nice perks!! Melissa will set you up! more

Disappointed :[ 5/5/2010

I've been getting my hair cut at Headcase Salon for about a year now. The staff has always been friendly and I've walked out of there, for the most part, pleased to have recieved a decent hair cut. Unfortunately, when I went in to Headcase for my prom do, my expectations were completely let down. I asked for a curly do, down and simple. What I got was far from it. After spending two hours in the salon my hair was not even close to being curled, it was laying flat and she was doing nothing to help it. She kept me waiting in the chair far longer than needed, and i had to walk out after the two hours with a half done do, running late for pictures and dinner, and my hair went completely flat by the time I got home. It was an awful experience, and I'm sad to say I will not be returning to Headcase again. Pros: decent hair cuts, friendly staff Cons: horrible prom hair do more

Its very comfortable 4/2/2010

Well, I have ben going to Headcase now for just over a year. The reason why I have decided to stay with this Salon is becuase of the feeling that I enter with stays the same when I leave. Its very comfortable and I don't feel pushed or overlooked. I've noticed that the cliental when I come in is very diversified, familes, professionals, twenty something young women, single men, and everybody is treated the same and its just refreshing. I love this place and I think you will just love it too! Thanks! Pros: very relaxing Cons: can't find any more

I heart Phil 3/14/2010

I've been going to Phil for awhile. I love him. He does my cuts, highlights, and lowlights. He gives great advice as to what will look good on you, and he's really patient and will work with you to get the outcome you're looking for. I've been in the process of growing my hair out, and Phil is able to shape it up each time I go to keep it looking cute during the grow-out phase. He never cuts too much. As for the color, it's never looked better. Bonus: the hand massage and shampoo/scalp massage feel amazing. You'd be a fool not to try this place out. I recommend Phil!! :) more

Melissa and her staff are incredible, never a wait time and hair comes out beautifully, plus I went in with jacked up platinum hair and she made me a beautiful/natural looking blonde!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love her and her staff!!!! Pros: customer service Cons: not a one more

I love this place! 11/22/2009

I went into this salon not knowing what to expect and was greeting by the nicest people. I was very nervous because my natural color is blond but I like it colored dark and have had many mistakes made on my hair in the past. I was so excited when I walked out with the perfect color, I even feel like I made new friends during my visit. I cant wait to go back in 6 weeks. I wish I could afford to go more often. Thanks! Love my new color 11/16/2009

I have been trying to find a stylist that can color my hair and not leave it that brassy color....trust me I have been many places and for the first time in years I finally found someone that has achieved it. I have been going to this salon for 2 years and I love how they are always keeping up with new products and trends. I also like that they keep me educated and informed. I can do my hair like Melissa does when I get home. I recently made the invesment in a Keratin treatment and it has changed my life. The treatment was well worth the price, my hair is shinier, alot less frizzy and takes1/2 the time to style. I would recommend Headcase Salon to anyone. Pros: the salon and the staff more

I went to Headcase salon for the first time on Tues. and Missy did my color and cut. I had been to many other salons that never colored my hair the way I wanted and i was close to giving up until Missy colored my hair. Not only was the color perfect but the cut was fabulous! I have been going to Headcase and Melissa for 2 years now, and am THRILLED, Melissa listens to my desires and then she makes excellent recommendations for me that are totally practical and Awesome, She has done my cuts, colors, highlights, and most recently, extensions which are so natural. I have had short and long styles. I send all my friends there. I tried other salons when I moved to town but have found the BEST!!! Pros: Personalized attention more

Do NOT GO 7/1/2009

Went to salon to get hair colored and cut. Charged 120 dollars and quality of work was not good. Hair color was very dark. When told the stylist, Ashley, she said it would cost more to correct. Wow! Unbelievable. I have never been to a salon that did not fix the color to make the customer happy. The style was not good either. I talked to the manager, Kelly, and she did nothing at all! I will not go back! Cons: overpriced, poor quality of work, bad customer service more

Great Salon!! 12/9/2008

I have been to Headcase Salon twice so far and definitely plan to return! I have tried a few salons around Indy before then, and never liked them. Both times I've been to Headcase Salon, Ashley has been my stylist. She does a wonderful job with my hair and knows exactly what I want. Ashley also is the best at highlights. I don't understand why some people gave Headcase Salon low ratings. You should definitely make an appointment at Headcase for your next hair cut & color! :) Pros: Awesome Staff that knows what they're doing! Cons: A little bit pricey but worth it! more

I found this salon through this website...I went in for a haircut and my stylist ""Phil"" was AMAZING!!! He really seemed to ""get"" my hair...unlike the previous stylist's ive had before....I would defintaly recomend this salon to anyone new or someone wanting a change....Love this salon i will diffentaly be back!!! New to Headcase Salon 11/29/2008

Personally, i do not agree with the last review. I came into Headcase Salon almost a week ago to see Ashley because i found great reviews about her. In all honesty, i think she is a very talented stylist with a great personality. It was like we had known each other for years. Not to mention the others working at the salon were very polite and helpful as well. I reccomend Headcase Salon to anyone and everyone. more

Beware 11/25/2008

New to Indianapolis, I checked out this website and chose Headcase to get my color done. I get a one-color process (brown) with a just a few red highlights. I went to Ashley. The first problem was that she did not cover the gray around my temples and forehead. She said she would have to add ""pure color"" to fix what she missed. This didn't work, so she offered to redo my whole head. I'd been there 2 1/2 hours already and didn't want to stay another hour to have someone redo something they didn't do right the first time. Not only that, but the highlights she did were awful - they are too chunky and they stop five inches from my scalp, while my hair is past my shoulders. I've never had a problem with color before, but Ashley wanted to blame my hair. I would not recommend this salon. (And claiming a salon is great because they give you a diet coke is ridiculous.) more

Awesome Highlights 11/4/2008

I love getting my hair done at Headcase Salon. Melissa does the best highlights and everyone always loves my hair. The people that work there are always nice and I always have a good time its like they are alll family and I fit right in. I cant wait to go back after getting my hair done there I would never go anywhere else. more

Great Hair Salon 10/21/2008

I have been going to Headcase Salon almost a year. Melissa is wonderful. Her suggestions have always been just right for me. I feel like she gives me her honest opinion. She's fantastic on the color and the cut. I have never been happier with my color and my hair looks more natural than it has for years. She is prompt and doesn't make me wait like other salons have in the past because they weren't in control of their schedule. Kelly and Ashley are so friendly and helpful. I also highly recommend Jess who has also colored and cut my hair. Pros: Color and cut skills are fantastic Cons: Honestly can't think of anything more

Pleasantly Surprised 10/14/2008

I found this salon by reading reviews on CitySearch. I was nervous to try a new salon because I had been with my previous stylist for a long time, and I had just had my hair butchered by the last place I tried. I had Ashley as a stylist, and was really impressed. She had the right mix of customer service and professionalism, and I came out of the experience with the color I wanted and a style that I'm really happy with. I will definitely be back, and am comfortable to recommend this place to anyone. more
