Stay away! 5/5/2011

I would give Merrimack Vision Care in Merrimack zero stars if that were an option. My college age son was billed for over $500, NOT including the $497 billed to insurance, for an eye exam and a pair of single vision lens glasses!! That is $998.50 total! Our previous optometrist's office took the time to go over the cost of services and options in products and detailed what the insurance would pay toward each, so that the patient could make an informed decision. We changed offices only because our insurance coverage changed; I think we would be better off going back to our former optometrist even if he is out of network!! more

Very Dissapointed 2/28/2011

Very Disappointed. Been a customer for about ten years. Always paid my bills when leaving the facility. Now they have a policy that you have to agree to charges that you do not understand before you are even charged. They also make you responsible for fees if appointment cancelled. There is no terms in the paperwork to make them responsible if they give you miss information or cancel without 24 hour notification. We as consumers need to expect professionalism for service professionals. We are the customer they are the service provider. Refuse to sign a form that you can not get a carbon copy. Excellent Experience at Merrimack Vision Care 1/20/2009

I recently moved to Merrimack and have been putting off my needed eye exam for quite some time. I have driven by Merrimack Vision Care's office numerous times and figured I would give them a call. My experience from the phone call to set up my appointment to my visit with the Doctor and working with the staff was excellent. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. The office was very clean. I got a great pair of eyeglasses that I get compliments on at least once a week. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for an eye doctor in Merrimack. more

Great Experience 1/20/2009

My family and I all went into Merrimack Vision Care on a Saturday for appointments. We saw Dr.Francis and were quite impressed. He was very thorough and we we were very comfortable with him. Even my 7 year old son said he was a nice. The glasses selection was great. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful.I would recommend Merrimack Vision care to all! more

Scammed by Merrimack Vision Care 6/22/2007

I went to their Merrimack, NH branch for a contact lens fitting. I believe the doctor's name was Dr. Francis. I ended up getting horribly mis-prescribed for my contacts. Long-distance vision was out of focus and blurry. When I bought my Acuvue Torics from them during the fitting they basically gave me all trial lenses, not the typical boxes you would get as new. How is that for service? When I made the switch to their competitor, Nashua Eye Associates, the new doctor fitted me properly and was straightforward with me. I felt like I could trust him. Please stay away from Merrimack Vision Care. I feel mad that they took my time and money. There is nothing I can do now. more

Great selection and great staff 11/18/2005

My husband and I went into Merrimack Vision Care to inquire about getting him new lens and contacts. We like the set up of the shop and the girls at the front desk were friendly, helpful and funny. The wait was shorter than anticipated and when we got in the doctor was nice, informative and very friendly as well. All in all I think that this was the best eye exam we ever had. It sounds silly but these are the kind of places that I will continually go to and bring our kids too because I feel they care. more
