Best restaurant in town! Absolutely the BEST sushi anywhere 6/9/2007

We've eaten sushi all over the world and here in Canton is absolutely the best sushi you'll ever have!!!! They also have an excellent sake selection, great habachi, and great service. Wherever you live, it's worth the drive. more

Great Bartender 4/17/2007

I went to this restraunt looking to sit at the Hibachi tables and their was a 10 minute wait and they told me I could sit at the bar and have a drink while I wait, well, we were having such a good time at the bar that we decided to eat at the bar, it was great! the food was delicous, We had several of the Tappas items and a few sushi rolls. and the best chocolate martini I ever had, this bartender knew what he was doing.\r I highly recommend this steakhouse to everyone. Pros: great food, awesome bartender Cons: some of the waitstaff need to wake up although they are very friendly and try hard more

Best hibachi, sushi, and steak in TOWN!! 3/19/2007

yo lemme tell ya this place is off the hook...seriously with sushi so fresh, you'd think they caught it themselves. i've brought my family, friends, business partners, the whole crew for meetings, special occassions, or just cuz we're hungry and we enjoyed everything from the yummy food, friendly service, relaxing music to the hibachi shows. those chefs got some skillz. they must have a black belt in hibachi fu or something. sometimes they have special dishes the chef made that isn't on the menu so be sure to try those out. they're always interesting and worth coming back for. there's something for everyone, even if u don't like hibachi they have a great menu for non grilled dishes, and even a full bar for those who are in the mood. the steak is awesome, best in town and in the top 5 best i've ever had. this is the place to be if u love sushi cuz they hold sushi eating contests. i missed out on the last one, but i'll claim that trophy one of these day. i'm so glad my friend told me to try this place out and now i can't get enough. i'll be back for more. i just wish there was a hanami close to my house. i love sushi! oh yeh, and the girls are hot!! more

Best ambiance for a hibachi meal with tender meats and sensational sushi!!! 2/13/2007

First of all, I LOVE sushi... I'm from San Francisco, lived in Los Angeles, and visited all parts of the United States. This is definitely one of the best tasting places for sushi at reasonable prices. They have the standard rolls, sashimi, and the chefs can make new pieces on a whim! There are always new dishes created weekly by the chef, many of them daringly exotic and unique. \r \r The ambiance is pretty amazing. Soothing music and lighting make the experience a place you'd like to take your date or for a business meeting. Definitely an upper class establishment. The sushi was fresh, tasty, and designed aesthetically. The service was prompt, polite, and proper. I lost count how many times the waiter came over to check how I was doing. He even poured my soy sauce for me! Now that's service! \r \r The hibachi was also great. The chefs were talkative and entertaining. They put on quite a show with serving the meals, flaming shrimps acrobatically placed onto a plate five feet away, and little volcanoes with the onion rings. Cool show... Best of all, the ""premium meat"" is the best hibachi steak I've ever had. It's way better than filet mignon! It's soft, tender, succulent, and abundant to satisfy any hunger. I would have ordered two and taken one back for room service if I wasn't so cheap.\r \r The owners were super nice. While I was waiting for my seat (5mins), they actually came up to talk to me and ask how I was doing. I explained that I was here temporarily for an interview with Emory U. for surgery residency and I how I always had a hard time finding a good sushi/habachi restaurant when I flew around the country for school. However, after that evening, I was totally enamored with the restaurant. \r \r Even though I am originally from the west coast and love the restaurants out there, I will totally consider moving to Emory U. for residency knowing full well there are excellent restaurants like Hanami available in Canton, GA! more

Great ambience! 2/13/2007

It was really surprising to find such a cool restaurant in Canton. The ambience is great, and has the feel of classy, big city restaurants, making this place a great place to bring visitors/guests and have celebrations. I first went to the restaurant to try out the hibachi, which was great. The entertainment was fun but I really really liked the scallops and chateau-briand. I had a look at the menu during the wait for the chef (which was the main downside of my experience) and saw that their dine-in menu was really really reasonably priced, especially for such a beautiful place. I've come back numerous times, mainly for the dine-in (Cheap and sooo tasty!) for lunch. The ambience is so nice, it really is a great place for romantic evenings. (Especially because it is a new restaurant so it's not as loud and crowded as other places, so its still a relatively well-kept secret!). You can really sit, talk, eat good food and not spend way too much money. The staff is also really friendly! The great thing is, on the dine-in side, you can also order from the sushi bar, which has really fresh items. The only thing I haven't tried so far is their bar, which looks pretty well-stocked. I have chatted with their bartenders though, who are always friendly. Overall, the only thing I didn't enjoy as much was waiting a bit for the chef on the hibachi side of the restaurant. Pros: Modern, romantic ambience- great value, especially the dine-in menu! Cons: Sometimes the wait for a hibachi chef takes a while- reserve ahead to reduce the wait... more

Awesome hibachi and steaks 12/20/2006

I've been here a few times and while one time I had to wait almost 45 minutes for a hibachi grill and our server was slammed so he was a little slow to get our orders, I always have a great time. The food is always great -- my fave is the chateaubriand. It just melts! I had hibachi three times before I even knew they had a different menu for the dine-in section. I tried their steaks from the kitchen with my boyfriend and we loved it. I had the filet mignon which was so good and I can't remember what he had but it might have been the teriyaki steak or something like that. The sauce was awesome. The dine-in side is definately a great place for a candle light date. The people around me would probably agree since two other couples were kissing lol. Sometimes they seem sort staffed but the servers are friendly still. I would definately recommend this place. Maybe call ahead for reservations or go early or late like before 6 or after 7:30 because those times are kind of dead and the chefs have more time to joke and put on a better show. Pros: Great food and really great ambience Cons: sometimes there can be a wait on the weekend but the bar is awesome more
