Kristy Misch is the best 2/9/2012

I moved to the Lake Norman area last summer and we all know how stressful it can be to find someone new to color and cut our hair. I am very lucky to have found Kristy Misch, she is the first person I went to and there is no need to change. She was able to match my color with their product line and cut my hair the way I liked. After a few months I asked her to change my cut and of course she did an outstanding job, she made some suggestions and I love my new cut. You will not be disappointed if you have Kristy color or cut your hair. more

The best color EVER! 2/9/2012

Dawn is able tame my long, wiry, rats-nest (with more gray than I'd like to admit) into a sleek and richly toned head of hair that I'm proud of--I now take the time to actually blow it out to show it off! Thanks, Dawn!! more

Go See Tonya!! 2/9/2012

Having trouble finding a stylist who actually listens to you? Your stylist is good, but not great? Can't find that perfect cut or color? Just need a change? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then you need to go see Tonya at HCX!!! She truly is an expert in all levels - color, cut, style..you name it. She will listen to what you want & need. She's not a ""cookie cutter"" stylist either, you know...when all of the clients walk out with the same cut & the same color. She's amazing at what she does and she does it the best! more

Kaylie's the best! 2/8/2012

The hardest part for a girl when she moves to a new city is to find a hairdresser and a mechanic that she trusts. Coming from NY, I was picky and have found girls who do my hair well, but none that I LOVED. One day, I walked into a tanning salon and saw a girl with amazing color and shine in her hair. When I asked her who did her hair she told me Kaylie at Haircolorexperts! I set up an appointment with her the same day!! I normally don't trust anyone to do that, but I took the risk that day and have never looked back! As a girl, I love to change my hair color often! As a professional I don't do anything too drastic....darker or lighter shades, full color, highlights or peek-a-boo highlights. I am always happy and impressed when I give Kaylie full control to do what she thinks is best for my eye & skin color and for the season. I have also had her style my hair for different events. She has amazing talent and is very creative! I recommend her to all my friends and family! You won't be disappointed! more

True EXPERT- Dawn 2/7/2012

I'm pretty sure I can be classified as ""high maintenance"" especially when it comes to my hair. I'll research, ask for recommendations, scope things out completely before I'll let anyone color my hair. Thankfully someone recommended Dawn to me at Haircolorxperts in Birkdale. I have one of those hair colors that I hope looks effortless but in reality is a lot of different highlights and lowlights resulting in a natural look, but very difficult for a stylist to duplicate or create. I also have a LOT of gray hair, in fact I think most of my hair is probably gray at this point. As soon as I met Dawn I knew I was safe, she keeps very current by attending lots of hair classes and automatically ""got It"" the other quality I appreciated was that she was confident enough to offer suggestions...LOVE THAT. I have never received more compliments on the color, cut and condition of my hair until I met Dawn, I love her! I now travel two hours to see her and the girls at the salon and I look forward to it every six weeks! more

Great salon and I love Kaylie 2/7/2012

I got tired of stuffy salons. HCX is comfortable and welcoming. To top it off, Kaylie is a wonderful stylist. I like that she listens, hears, and REMEMBERS. I don't know how she does it, but it sure makes me feel like she cares. I always enjoy my visits to HCX and leave looking my best, thanks to Kaylie. more

HCX and Dawn are a must visit spot in Birkdale! 2/6/2012

Our family of four have been using Dawn Koferl for a very long. Me, for my once a year 'Hippie hair cut' and my wife and daughters several times a year. We will go to no one else. We always get great complements on our hair and even my mother-in-law goes to Dawn now. That alone should speak volumes about Dawn's abilities, insight about hair fashion and her professionalism. HCX and Dawn are a must visit spot in Birkdale! more

I have been going to Dawn Koferl for several years and she has not let me down yet! I love Dawn and how she makes me look and feel when I leave the salon. I have had several comments about how natural my hair color is, and this is all thanks to Dawn. Kristy has been doing my hair for over two years and I could not be happier. When I first started going to Kristy, she took the time to listen to what I was looking for in a hairstyle and then on her own time sent me an email with several hairstyle options prior to my next appointment. She has also done a great job with my color giving a much softer, youthful look (can use all the help I can get here!!). I highly recommend Kristy and the Haircolorxperts Salon in Birkdale. more

Great Salon and Great Stylist 2/6/2012

Tonya has been doing my hair for about two years following a lot of trial and error at local salons. You know when you find a really great stylist that understands what looks best on you and helps you to look and feel great. That is Tonya. She listens to how I am feeling and makes sure that I leave looking great. I have learned how to style my hair so that I look like I just left the salon. Terrific salon for old and young alike 2/4/2012

I am technically a ""senior citizen"" although I don't feel like one. Kristy Misch is an absolute master stylist, with expertise in cut, color, and styling. And she listens! She recognizes the challenges with greying hair and recommends realistic solutions. And she is a master of doing short haircuts! When I'm with Kristy I watch the other stylists at work, and I can honestly say that they all do grand work. When you are new to an area and absolutely clueless about where to start in finding a hairdresser, don't go any further. This is THE place. The salon itself is bright, clean, organized, and comfortable. Their utilization of technology for appointments (and those terrific reminders) is right on spot. And add to the technology, the personal touch of reminder telephone calls. Way to go. more

Give Hair Color Xperts in Birkdale a try! 2/1/2012

I have been seeing Kristy Misch for 2 years now, and I have no need to go anywhere else! I finally found a hair color professional that I completely trust. With Kristy, you won't ever have to be embarrassed of your hair or, ""explain what happened at the Salon."" I get compliments regularly from people I know, as well as people I don't for my color or style that Kristy has made for me. She's also not HEAVY HANDED with her scissors!! When I told her I wanted to grow my hair long, but asked for a ""trim,"" that's exactly what I got!! Not like the countless Stylists that have taken that same request and left it on the floor with several inches of my hair that I couldn't get back. Weather you livenear Birkdale Commons or not, I assure you that Kristy is worth the travel (I come from Pineville) b/c you will have guaranteed satisfaction walking out the door! more

Don't go anywhere else! 2/1/2012

I have been going to see Kristy Misch for almost 2 years. She is great at making suggestions on how to tweak my color or cut yet gently guides me back to reality if she thinks I am getting off course! She takes the time to listen and knows what I really want and what I will be happy with. One time I was lured away because of a promotional offer from another salon. What a mistake! I went back to Kristy and told her I had cheated on her and she took me back! Seriously, she is an excellent stylist and I recommend her all the time. more

Great Experience Everytime 2/1/2012

I've had a wonderful experience everytime I have been to this salon.Kristy Misch does an excellent job from the color, to the hair cut and to the straightner when I get it. What I love so much about her is that she will really listen to what you want and even if you do not know exactly what you want she has wonderful suggestions on what to do. She really cares and wants to make sure you are happy. more
