As a non-picky person with not very high expectations, I gave this dental office a try. Their dental services were mediocre at best. Not to mention, the staff was unfriendly and did not seem to care about their patient. However, my real complaint and reason for writing this review is their lack of responsibility and professional service. After my visit, I got a bill charging me for x-rays that my insurance did not cover. I wasn't even supposed to have x-rays (only 1 every 1 or 2 years for insurance and safety reasons) and furthermore, I did not remember getting any x-rays done. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt and called in to see if there was a mistake. I called several times and was told that I ""should have"" been asked about the x-rays before the procedure was done, but they ""did not hold responsibility"". According to my insurance company, the dental office does hold responsibility and it was unfair for me to have to pay. When I called them a final time, I was also told that I'd be called back, which never happened. I am truly disappointed and plan on never returning. I am now a happy patient under the care of Happy Tooth in Chapel Hill. more

This was one of the few places I could find in RTP area which accepts my dental insurance and also accepts new patient. I didn't check the review before I went, which was a big mistake. My first appointment was for dental hygiene. The staff from the front desk to the hygienist are not very professional, not friendly either. The hygienist was very inpatient and not very skillful. I complained my teeth were hurt and tried to have some break. She was unhappy and left. Another Hygienist came to clean my teeth after I waited on the chair for a long time. I would never go back this office. One visit is enough for unpleasant experience... I won't recommend this office to anyone! more

Unfortunately, I have been a patient at this practice for several years. After EVERY terrible visit I leave promising myself that I am going to find another dentist....and every six months I find myself scheduling because it's so close to my work and finding another dentist is just a pain. NO MORE ! This office is horrible, the staff are unprofessional and the dental assistant speaks literally NO English which has caused some serious communication issues, she was also touching things with no gloves (that was my breaking point), the gentleman at the front desk is so RUDE and condescending, they are disorganized from start to finish, and the wait time in just plain nuts. Would you like me to keep going because I can. Bottom line folks....KEEP LOOKING for another dentist. I will be looking, I refuse to spend any more money supporting this office. more

I've left the ""care"" of Carolina Dental Associates because I suspected I could get better treatment elsewhere. My suspicions were accurate. The new dentist showed me how several of the fillings that Dr. Robert Ha did were NOT sealed and therefore causing tooth decay. I certainly have no dental training, but I do know that when you fill a cavity, the cavity needs to be completely sealed/filled?hence the term ?FILLING?!!! To further arouse suspicion, I checked the Better Business Bureau on Carolina Dental Associates and saw that they scored an ?F?, whereas my new dentist scored an ?A?. So, it's clear to me that my new dentist isn't the party who has issues. Pros: None! Cons: Shoddy work, poor customer service more

This dentist office is a joke! The receptionist is so rude each time I call or go in. She never smiles, is very unprofessional, always seems in a bad mood. Their is always a long wait to actually be seen. Then whenever I get my teeth cleaned there they do a TERRIBLE job! They hardly even clean my teeth, they still feel dirty when I leave. They even try to let me go without the dentist herself actually looking at my teeth! I am definitely finding a new place to go! Cons: Rude receptionist, terrible cleanings more

I finally gave up on these clowns after four years of office visits! I had to wait over an hour on average for each visit in the past four years and each time office managements are getting worse and worse. If you asked something (i,e. reschedudling), they will threaten you with penalty and fees. My waiting time doesn't count for them, but late arrival (i.e. 10 minutes) will count for fees!! Pros: Location if you are in RTP Cons: Rude receptionist and office manager, over an hour waiting more

It is my impression that Carolina Dental Associates is a place that one can grow into LOVING. Dr. Robert Ha's technique inspires great confidence, let alone, the seeming interest in one's well being exhibited by the other team's players. more

I am new in town and needed to locate a new dentist for my family. This office was able to work us all in in a timely manor and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. I visited today and it was horrible, they kept me waiting for no reason. visited to my teeth clean as regualr visit, but they did not do it, instead they did x-rays,peridonatal desease evaluation and all even though i don't have any complains on my teeth, firnally they could not say anything to me and lett me in room alone, i had to kept asking nurse, is anyyone comming to seee me?, fianlly they told me that i have to speak to financial advisor for further treatment, Based on their service, i dont feel like doing there and it was horrible experience, I SAY BIG NO this. I chose this dentist because it was the only one in my area that accepted my dental insurance. The hygenist was very sweet, but that's where the good stuff ended. After one cleaning procedure, they told me I would have to come back for a second cleaning and to have 2 cavities filled. The first cleaning wasn't covered by my insurance, I later found out. They also tried to sell me several unwanted and expensive products and treatments. more

I won't be back. During my procedure, the dentist and assistant were glued to the TV set located in the room. Ostensibly placed for the benefit of the patients, I couldn't see it when my chair was shifted back. The show they were watching must have been pretty good, because one of the fillings they gave me was so bad I had to return. They left a sharp, jutting peak of either tooth or ceramic filling material that poked my toungue when the pain killers wore off. Dr. Ha took special care to make sure that I was a happy customer. She was very patient and went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. I would go back to see. more
