My partner calls the decor at Guys and Dolls, ""shabby-chic."" I prefer"" vintage-chic."" Both describe a homey, warm, interesting and fun atmosphere but neither depict what the salon isreally all about. The staff are friendly and no one thinks their better or prettier than any of their customers which can happen in today's high- end more snobbish salons. In no way am I saying this salon is frumpy or for the Golden Girls crowd...quite the opposite; all their staff are not only seasoned but experienced in all the new techniques as well as all the new products. The salon offers simple haircuts (which is what we usually go for), color expertise, manicures and pedicures and even a body perm from time to time. Want a new style??? The hair experts have all the right suggestions for your hair type and face shape. Francisco has been cutting our hair for about 4 years and we have seen both Michel's excellent work as a colorist as well as some great styles that Dawn has created while we wait for each other. If your appointment is in the morning...try breakfast at Duffys right next door or if you come after work, get yourself a to-go cocktail at Cheers just 3 doors down to sip on while the Guys and Dolls staff spoil you. I love this salon. They are good folks trying to make an honest living by just treating people the right way!
Pros: Homey, comfortable, welcoming, unpretentious!
