I've been going to Fransisco for four years now and absolutely love his hairkuts. I like my hair cut short and sexy and he delivers every time. I am a business professional with an edge and his hairkuts always get tons of compliments. I have recommended him to many people over the years and they have loved their hairkuts as well. A very friendly - pet friendly salon so bring your dog with you! Will be a customer for many years to come so don't hesitate and schedule your next kut with Fransisco. Blond Beauty 7/3/2010

7/3/2010 \r I researched hundreds of Salons online to find a Color Specialist to actually give me the color I wanted. I have a lot of Red Pigmentation in my hair which was also thick, course, frizzy and over processed. I tried muliple salons both high end and low end to try and find a color specialist that would give me the blond color I wanted without the Brassy Copper Orange color that I always ended up with.\r \r It took me 20 years but I finally found him. His name is Scott Strong and he is a Color Specialist at Guys & Dolls Hairkuts in Ft. Lauderdale.\r \r He spent 6 hours on my hair. He did not schedule other clients at the same time like most salon. He spent the whole day just on my hair and did almost everything himself (with a little help from Jessica who gave me the best hair washes and mini neck massages I have ever had).\r \r Scott should be working in Hollywood doing Celebrity Hair. Finally, A Hair Stylist Who Listens 6/30/2010

Hair is my image... being a female drummer people look at my hair as importantly as they listen to my beats. My regular stylist went back to LA (he abandoned me) and not knowing where to go I went to the mall. Checking out chicks is not for me and after a while I came across the one with the absolutley best looking hair.. she is a client of Guys & Dolls (Francisco) so I called. I showed up with tons of pics and told him what I like - to my surprise he did not object and said 'no problemo' and went to work. 3 hours later I was leaving with exactly the look I wanted - not only are you a great stylist Francisco, you are one hot guy... I wish you would reconsider and travel with me, would be a nice gig, Guys & Dolls would survive because you have a great crew. I understand why you cant leave, so I will comeback to you again. I was happy to hear that Scott went to a salon close to my home, altough I'd follow him almost anywhere...Scott gives me the best haircut I've ever had. Scott Strong & Guys and Dolls Hairkuts 6/16/2010

Guys and Dolls Hairkuts is a great salon. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is pleasant. But, the one thing I love about G & D Hairkuts is the fact that Scott Strong is there. Scott has been cutting my hair for over a year. (I get my hair colored, highlighted, and cut every 4-8 weeks.) Prior to Scott, I moved from salon to salon trying to find the ""one""!!! Scott is the ""one"". He is an amazing stylist who makes you feel and look great. I have gotten more compliments on my hair now that Scott is my stylist. He is easy to talk to and listens to what you want. I have also trusted Scott to do what he thinks with my hair- It is not easy to give a stylist your hair and say go for it... Make it look good... Scott always follows through with a great cut, color, and style!!! If I had to rate Scott, he would get 5 stars out of 5!!! Love him!!! Scott Strong...Exceeds Expectations Every Time 6/15/2010

Scott has been doing my hair for over a year now and I love it!!!! I have had numerous hair disaster stories from other salons where the stylist doesn't listen or walks away leaving you in the dust to fry under a dryer-this will never happen to you with Scott. He is friendly and listens to your concerns and questions, he wants to make sure you get what you want and he delivers. I get compliments on my hiar everywhere I go. I have super long hair and the highlights and low lights are perfect and my hair is super healthy thanks to Scott. I have complete confidence in him and I am never afraid to put my hair in his very capable hands. Also when he says he is only going to trim an inch-he trims an inch not four. I have been going to Sherry for over 25 years. It is very hard to find someone in todays world who takes pride in their work and cares about the way you look when you leave her chair. Sherry's skill with the razor in her razor cuts is great. She not only does a razor cut on my hair, as well as my beard. If you like to be pampered, ask for Sherry. incredible!!! 6/6/2010

About a year ago a hairstylist DESTROYED my hair.. It was like 4 different colors. After getting it back to one color and waiting a year for the health to come back I was finally ready to do something with it. My friends recommended I go there and see Michel so I made my appt. he took so much time doing my hair, paid attention to every detail, walked me through what he was doing and made sure he did the least amount of damage possible. the end result was beautiful!!! It went for a faded reddish ugly color, to a beautiful golden blond with highlights and the cut was perfect!! i couldnt have been happier with the results!!! more

well worth the extra driving 5/28/2010

I am so glad my friend Mike told me about Francisco at Guys and Dolls. I drive a bit farther than I am used to for a haircut , but it's worth it .I get a great and consistant haircut everytime. I usally get in the chair right at might appointment time, or within a few minutes of it. Of course you will be offered a complimentary beverage while you wait. Great Guys and Dolls 5/23/2010

I just wanted to comment on the amazing experience I have every time I visit Guys and Dolls, it is not just having your hair cut or styled or whatever, it's like going by a neighbourhood friends and having just a great time from the cool looking display of antiques & bric a brac on sale (that will fit any budget). To the awesome tunes, treats and drinks that are available if you are so inclined. For many years I had my hair styled on Los Olas and was always very happy even with the high prices, but now thanks to my stylist Michel I am extatic and it costs me less than half of what i used to pay !! I can honestly say that Michels expertise and warm personality coupled with the ambiance and the best cut and style In Broward make Guys & Dolls the place to be. ive lived in the ft lauderdale area for around 13 years now ...in this time i have bounced from one hair stylist to another trying to find one that could understand what i wanted to do with my hair ...no matter how many times i would see a stylist they could never get it the way i wanted it ..they could just never grasp what i was saying ...honestly i dont think im that picky or hard to understand but for some reason i could just never find someone who could style my hair the way i wanted ...around 8 months ago i decided to give guys and dolls a try ...i sat down with the stylist dawn and explained what i wanted ..she was very attentive ,nice , gentle and listened to what i said ...when she was done doing my hair it was exactly what i wanted ...after years of searching i finally found a stylist who could cut hair ...in my opinion she is the best stylist in south florida ..ive been to many stylists and many hair places and no one could consistently cut my hair as good ,the way i wanted it everytime ...she is an absolute pleasure to be around ,,she is very fun to talk with and seems to actually be a pretty genuine person....so do yer self a favor ..if yer unhappy with yer current stylist or looking or some one new who is great and knows what their doin ..someone who will not screw yer hair up...then visit guys and dolls and ask fer dawn ....i figured writing this review, this is the least i could do for her being so great to me ...thanks dawn .. Dawn is the greatest!!!! 3/31/2010

I just moved here from NC and was in desperate need for a new look and stylist. I found Guys and Dolls on Citysearch and they received the best reviews. I called and got an appointment the same day(unheard of in my old salon!) I have very fine hair and Dawn knew exactly what to do to bring it back to life. She recomended a new cut and some highlights to make it appear thicker. I was almost in tears when she was done! It looked like I had a head full of thick, lucious hair and the color was so natural and beautiful! The cut is so easy and simple to style and works great with my quick morning routines and wavy hair (FL humidity!) I am going back on Friday and will never get a cut anywhere else!!! Dawn is the BEST! 3/21/2010

After reading all of the stellar reviews here on Citysearch, I called Guys & Dolls and booked an appointment with Dawn for a haircut and color. I arrived at the salon and was immediately greeted by Jonathan, who offered me a delicious cup of Barnie's coffee. I felt right at home! Dawn is an expert at color correction: She applied a dark chocolately brown base to my overprocessed orange hair (the result of another salon's attempt to lighten my black hair to a medium brown) and gave me buttery blonde highlights on top. She also gave me a razor haircut, which gave my curtain of hair so much more shape and movement. The end result? Rockstar hair! If you want hair you'll LOVE, go see Dawn!
