We have been to the G more times than I can count. Food is good, more like comfort food. However, it is inconsistent. My husband often orders the fish and chips, he loves theirs, but too often he gets a tiny piece of fish and leaves hungry. A few times he had more fish on his place than he could eat, perhaps they gave him a double order. I like their dishes, but they don't wow me. This place is always busy, drinks are great, esp the margaritas and it's clean. The food is better than traditional pub fare, BUT you pay dearly for it. For their 5 oz fish & chips it's about $17, hendering on very over priced. I order something different each time I am there, (average $15) chicken dumplings, pasta, roast pork, specials, always pretty good, but nothing that I couldn't cook at home. Service, depending upon who you get can be terrible, clueless to very good. They don't advertise, don't need to and I suppose the affluent hood keeps them in business after all these years. I, for one, would love to see more healthy, ""today"" lighter dishes on the menu. And parking can be a challenge. Anyway, they are good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find the place if I didn't live 1 mile away.
