It brings me great pleasure to write this review about Guardian Moving. The sale of our property deal closed Dec 15, 2012 and we had to move everything by that date. We were in the midst changing jobs, moving into new home, gearing up for the festive holidays - it was so hectic and we were so stressed out. By December 3, we still hadnt figured out what or how we were going pack all our belongings and furniture for our move. A friend of ours had used Guardian Moving before and spoke very highly of them. She told us that they are one of Canada's largest moving company and that they have moved government, commercial, business and homes. There ability to do a good job was not an issue - they are credible because my friend was happy with them - I however, was concerned about the timing and cost. So I called them and a couple other companies. And yes, Guardian Moving was about 10% more expensive then the other two companies quoted. But let me be the 1st to tell you. It was well worth it. My conversation with the girl on the was cordial and receptive, she seemed to understand our stress level and reassured us that all our demands would be me. We finalized the quote, date of move etc... and on the morning of the move, I received a call from them confirming approximate time they will arrive. They arrived about 20 minutes later then scheduled, which stressed us out a little, but when they got here. The 3 of them were fully in uniform, clean and very professional looking, immediately, the guy in charge came up to me with a clip board, took charge and advised me as to what is going to happen and how he was going to do.WOW we were soo relieved. Nothing is more calming then knowing that you've hired the right team to resolve your stressful move. Within a couple of hours, the needed was wrapped, packed almost entirely loaded into the truck. They had an assembly line of system, one guy wrapped, the other helped to tag and list, while the 3rd person began moving the tagged items. The entire move from packing to delivery took roughly 8hours. It was probably more then what they bargained for, as nearing they end, they looked liked they worn out. (we have a lot - a lot of stuff) So we did the convenience thing and got them juice, water and pop and ordered them pizza after the move was done. After all said and done, the crew thanked us for the pop and pizza and cleaned up all the cardboard boxes etc.. before they left. We would recommend Guardian Moving to anyone looking for a team who can take ownership of your moving woes. We recently helped someone move to Hawaii and selected Guardian as the moving company to perform the moving on the Hawaii side. This is not the first time we have worked with them and it won't be the last.\r \r One of the things I liked the best is the excellent communication and also the pricing model. Most of the other companies that will move you to HI base the move on cubic feet, not weight. This is a bait and switch that Guardian just won't do. Weight is the most accurate and only way to actually ship. They come out and do an inventory of what you have and convert it to weight then you pay based on the weight. No guessing, no surprises on the HI side when they carefully deliver your posessions.\r \r If you go on cubic feet it is almost guaranteed that you will find a surprise price hike on the HI side BEFORE they will deliver your goods and you won't be able to do anything about it but pay the ransom money. Save yourself the hassle and go with Guardian. On top of that, the crews are well trained and professional. more

These guys are simply amazing. As many of the reviews of the other State, are professional, courteous and most important working hard and not waste time. Advice biggest I can give to anyone who had hoped to keep their costs down is to do most of the packing yourself to save time, packaging is what it takes for a long period for these guys.\r \r My team was amazing, headaches staff was very informative, and his team consists joes and Antonio went straight to work and had all the guys really nice. Be sure to get the guys some water and snacks, it goes a long way with them.\r \r While I'm sure it will not be a case at a time, my final cost ends up being well under the maximum move cost estimate they provide me.\r \r Definitely recommend to anyone who passes from Hawaii to Los Angeles ... I would definitely use flat rate again and will recommend to my friends; next time I may even add the option of packing my belongings.The movers were very polite, professional, and nice. They showed up on time and showed respect for my property and belongings. They protected everything adequately. I have no complaints!I had a great experience. Great Job and very professional\r \r My partner and I had to move his and my apartment into a new apartment all in the past two weeks. Needless to say we had our hands full so it was very important to get the best movers for our budget. We got that and more with Guardian Moving and Storage. \r They were able to schedule two separate moves within a few days notice. The guys showed up early, or on time, and they presented themselves in a very professional manner. They handled all of our items with the best care. Nothing was damaged or mishandled. They worked quickly, efficiently, and smartly. Most importantly, they listened to and followed any of our moving concerns and instructions. They offered great stress relief from the rigors of moving. Great job overall from the front office to the guys in the trucks. \r This was our first time using Guardian, and we were not disappointed. One of the most pleasant and courteous experiences that you can have with a mover. I used them 3 years ago to move my stuff from San Francisco to San Diego. The movers were great and extremely professional which is quite unusual for a moving company. Now, I find myself moving back to San Francisco and Guardian was the first place I looked. They walked through my stuff room by room and provided a guaranteed and very competitive quote. So far its been the great experience I remembered and I definitely feel like my stuff is in good hands. My boyfriend and I decided to move and after calling several companies, we decided to choose Guardian Moving. The guys were awesome, fast, professional and knew exactly what they were doing. You could tell they had this down to a science. Our kitchen was too small for the refrigerator to fit through the door and they had to lift it over the counters to get it out. That didn't even slow them down! It took about 30 seconds for the fridge to get out of our kitchen it was amazing. Nothing arrived damaged at destination even though I have a huge 4 foot by 6 foot painting and that arrived in perfect condition also! They were very gentle with all the boxes going up and down stairs. Speaking of stairs, we had 3 flights up and 3 flights down on our move. That is a lot of stairs! These guys still just whipped through moving all our stuff and barely looked winded. Amazing Job Guardian Moving!! more

Greatest Move Ever!! After reading bunch of great reviews about Guardian Cargo, I decided to hire them despite getting a few other recommendations for other moving companies from friends. It was one of those do I trust numerous reviews on Internet or go with single instances of good experiences by friends. I decided to trust the internet and went with Guardian Cargo and I don't have any regrets. Perfection is the word that I will use for them! These guys moved us from last month and everything was PERFECT! Conscientious, hard working, great people, everything happened as it was promised. THE BEST! Thirty years of ""stuff"" was picked up, shipped and delivered in perfect time and condition. 5 stars PLUS! They performed well beyond my expectation. Five stars! more

I can?t say enough words about the fabulous experience that I had with Guardian Cargo Logistics . I knew that I was in the right hands when their representative Guardian told me that they could sent a professional estimator to come and inspect my items and give me a Guaranteed Price. Their representative came and did the walk through, he explained me all the process and what was I able to expect from them as a moving company. On the move day, the moving team, they were strong, fast, helpful and very friendly. We were 105 degrees outside and they never lost their kindness. They treated my items as if they were theirs. Now that my items are here in my new house, I am very happy with the service and the whole experience; my items came in great condition, nothing came damaged. Boosting charges over estimates on delivery is a common scam. I am currently dealing with Guardian Moving and Storage (aka Guardian Moving & Storage; aka Guardian Cargo Logistics). After a lot of research, I discovered that they are based out of Los Angeles, although they claim to have offices throughout Hawaii. After consulting attorneys, I was told that without a signed contract and only an email/oral contract, it is better to pay the amount demanded and then file a claim in court for extra charges. Don't forget to obtain a detailed bill to produce as evidence. However, small claims court can be expensive when they are not based in your hometown (I reside in Hawaii). According to an attorney, outside of court, there are many avenues to deal with unscrupulous, dishonest or negligent moving companies: The first government contact you need to file a complaint with is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). They have recently streamlined their process, and even if you have filed previously with them using their old system prior to (1/1/2003), you should file with them again. It's easy to file a complaint online using their Web site at Commercial Complaint Form Information or toll-free by phone at 1-888-368-7238. You should also file a complaint with the Department of Transportation's Office of the Inspector General. Although they don't have a system in place that is as easy to use as the FMCSA's, you can email them at the DOT OIG Hotline Complain Center. Next, you should find out if your mover is a member of the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA). You can find out by calling the AMSA at 703-683-7410. If your moving company is an AMSA member, then they have agreed to participate in the AMSA Arbitration Program. You should file for arbitration with the AMSA by following their guidelines at American Moving and Storage Association. You should file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau even if the company is not a member. You can file a complaint with the BBB online using their web site at United States and Canada BBB Consumer and Business Reviews, Reports, Ratings, Complaints and Accredited Business Listings. You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). more
