Don't be fooled by Randy's nice guy facade. He will promise you the moon, but then leave you hanging high and dry! He's a liar and once you pay him he will disappear and leave your job UNFINISHED! \r \r I hired him to clean and seal my tiles. He promised quality work and promised to personally supervise the job. Instead he went out of town and sent his gang of surly, obnoxious adolescent males who were lazy and rude! They made it clear that they didn't care about the work. In fact, one of them said they didn't care what I was paying to get the job done because he didn't make any more money anyway. They refused to perform the contract as agreed! \r \r Overall the job was substandard and they never came back to correct problems or finish areas they left incomplete. Even though Randy gave me all kinds of assurances that they would! He also left before he promised to and left my house unlocked with thousands of dollars of tools inside! How unprofessional!\r \r I wish I had read these reviews before I hired Randy. I regret it.\r \r Look elsewhere. Randy came to my house and appeared to be very knowledgeable about Saltillo tile. He told me he was going to remove the scratches in the floor and put down a urethane or solvent based finish and make the floors look like new. He told me the last guys probably used a milky, water based sealer, that was not appropriate for my use. I set the appointment and they came out, did not remove the scratches and used the same milky, water based sealer he said was inappropriate and gave me all the reasons the solvent was not appropriate. When I tried to point out the remaining marks on the floor, the person he left gave me dozens of reasons why the floor could not be fixed and ultimately walked off the job and told me I had to wait for Randy. Randy came back the next day, made one tile look perfect as a sample and told me the rest would look like that. I authorized him to finish the job and not a single other tile looked like the sample. I also asked him to replace three cracked tiles. He told me he would make the tiles look like it was never broken and again showed me how it would look by doing half the job. When he was done, not only were there broad brush strokes on the broken tile IT WAS NOT EVEN FILLED and looks more obvious than when he started. He did me the favor of not charging me for it. Finally, he also told me he noticed missing grout where I had my front door replaced and told me he had a job in the neighborhood and would come back the next day and fix it for me. He never showed up again and I never heard from him. Just another in his continuing pattern of lies. For all this he charged over 2,000, taking me to the cleaners. The owner will give you his time and experience. Randy helped us with a garage slab that we had epoxy coated several years ago. The old coating was popping and pealing. Randy used a moisture test to determine that we needed a waterproof membrane. After he prepped the slab and applied the membrane, he applied a beautiful epoxy finish. We are very pleased and will use them when were ready to restore our limestone. Just call him and see what I mean. Pros: Many creative options more

Randy was great at first..until we were not satisfied with the work he had done in our new home. All we requested was that he come to the house and take a look...he was a no show, broke two appointments and will not return our phone calls! We spoke to Randy about a problem with our concrete slab. He spent 10 minutes with me to explain all my options. We didn't end up doing the concrete restoration, but I was impressed by his knowledge and patience. I would use him in the future. Pros: Nice people more

I called and spoke with the owner on the first ring. Good start. He came out to my home and we discussed options for restoring a concrete slab in our family room. Randy was well versed on what we could do, and we decided to sand, stain and seal the concrete with a wet look urethane. Great look and very durable. He also was hired to hone and polish our vanity tops as they were damaged by the cleaning people. They are like new now. I think they did a terrific job! His guys were very nice and the price was fair. more

**HORRIBLE** **HORRIBLE** **HORRIBLE**\r \r Basically they destroyed our $20k floor as it was perfect before they walked through the door. \r \r We paid them $900 to seal & buff our freshly-laid concrete tiles. Instead of sealing the tile - they destroyed the previous contractor's work and created HEADACHES & PROBLEMS ... (1) buffed craters into our concrete tile, (2) created new & visible distress marks on the surface of the tile and (3) turned our red grout into white residue.\r \r What Grout & Stone Services, Inc. did was so unprofessional, we had to re-hire the tile installation guys again to replace 30 tiles that were destroyed. By the way, I highly recommend Artistic Tile Installations, Inc. , as they did an exceptional job of laying our tile. \r \r The tile manufacturer had recommended we use Miracle 511 products however Grout & Stone Services, Inc. insisted that their ""Invisiguard Sealant"" would net the same results. Unfortunately the Invisguard (made out of North Hollywood) was just as useless as the design of the bottle suggests - CHEAP!!!\r \r We found Randy, the owner, to not have a clue about his own business and felt he was very insincere and NOT customer service friendly. \r \r For example, he recommended using Vinegar on the grout residue - so we sampled it and it only made matters worse. Additionally, we found his staff to be ""lazy duds"" lacking knowledge of the business and lacking a major quality, PASSION. \r \r All the advice & recommendations they gave were opposite of what other professionals & manufactures had stated. \r \r Hiring Grout & Stone Services, Inc. felt like taking a hammer to a brand new Rolex watch, but without Insurance or Warranty!!!\r \r Sad to say we find it comically-ironic that on their own website they state - ""people hire us to fix what someone else has botched."" - to REALIZE that they created ALL our problems.\r \r I'd stay away from Grout & Stone Services, Inc. .... they are BAD NEWS BEARS. more
