polite and professional 5/13/2011

the property manager Tara was always polite and professional and the maintenance guy (I think his name is Julius) was awesome. He was so nice and helpful, and always explained what he was doing to fix something in case it happens again and he's not available. Oh, and get this: HE ANSWERS HIS PHONE! How weird is that?! I always thought that leaving a maintenance request voicemail and getting a callback in 2-3 days was the standard, but not here. He answers his phone and can usually come same-day. I'm already missing that since I moved because it's been 10 days now and my new management company has yet to get me a working mailbox key, or even return my calls as of lately. more

very helpful in my apartment search 5/6/2011

Group Fox has been very helpful in my apartment search. They are easy to get ahold of and their main office is open 24 hours which I loved because I was in and out viewing apartments. They make sure where you move is a good fit for you, they don't just force you into the first place you come across. I do recommend working with Group Fox to find your next place. more

Group Fox is great 5/4/2011

I moved to Chicago from Evanston a few months ago and found a great apartment. Everything in my apartment is redone and I have hardwood floors, granite counters, and new cabinets. Maintenance is great and responds very quickly. In addition, some of the maintenance people live in the building. Laundry is in the building which is very nice. Group Fox is great. more

Does this not rock?! 4/26/2011

The sitch: I realize about 3 months late that I must downsize my life, but I for serious do not want to move. But I find out that with Group Fox, if you move to a smaller apartment of theirs, you don't have to break the lease, you only have to pay a tiny transfer fee, and it doesn't go on your record, meaning that landlords will still be willing to rent to you later on in life. On to the paperwork. Done in five minutes. Kate offers me keys to the apartment a few days early, to make things easier. I have to be difficult anyway and need an extra day. And she's totally cool with it. YOU GUYS! Does this not rock?! Just thought you all should know. ;) more

Group Fox is pretty awesome 4/21/2011

I just recently found an apartment through Group Fox. Arnell helped my boyfriend and I and was extremely patient, showed us only apartments that exactly fit the criteria we were looking for, and was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with =) I went through Apartment Savvy the week before and had a miserable experience. Group Fox is pretty awesome (especially for a FREE service) and Arnell was awesome and I'd suggest calling him! more

I have lived in a group fox building for 2 years now, and I find the service both friendly and helpful. The management seemed more than willing to assist me, and I never experienced issues with bugs of any kind other than the obvious summer mosquito. more

really impressed me 4/15/2011

the things that have really impressed me with group fox are the little ones- the building lobby is cleaned at least once a week, hallway carpets are always vacuumed, and when there was a rip in the awning above the front door, it was replaced! more

i live in one of their mid-rises in uptown, and i've never had a problem. from the beginning, when i was viewing apartments and found one i liked, they made the lease-signing process fast and easy by offering to email and fax everything- meaning i didn't have to leave work to go to an office to sign. when i moved in, the apartment was *spotless*. new paint, floors done, blinds clean, not even dust anywhere. the few maintenance requests i've had have ALWAYS been resolved within 24 hours (thanks to both groupfox and the awesome super). also, they have a system where you can pay rent online, or a desk person 24/7 that you can drop it off at. more

Spacious 3/21/2011

I like renting from Group Fox because they take care of things in a more timely manner. Things like annual pest control, and maintenance like window washing get done regularly. During the whole rental process, from when we first took a tour of the apartment, things went smoothly. Our maintenance guy lives on site, so I just call his cell and leave him a message if I need some work done in our apartment. My rent is reasonable given the location, and our apartment is very spacious. more

Ready to accommodate 3/18/2011

GroupFox is the best! You really discover what kind of manager you have when you really need them. GroupFox has been very responsive to both our small needs and our big ones too. When the AC needed to get into the window, they responded. When the sink didn't drain, they responded. When needing a place to meet with a group, they provided some space. And more importantly, when having to move out of the area but being jammed when the mover fell through, they were ready to accommodate, making for a less stressful move. I thank the management and staff of GroupFox! I hope I can rent with them again. more

Way to go everyone 3/15/2011

Sent in a list of maintenance requests(sink replacement, faucet replacement, etc) on a Tuesday. These are no small tasks I might add, and by that Thursday everything was replaced and my apt. was left looking good. I was very impressed with the quality and speed of work done. I just renewed my lease, for the 3rd straight year with Group Fox, and I have had nothing but good experiences with you guys in the past. I must add that my building maintenance guy, Emir, does a great job here. He deserves some thanks for all his hard work and tentativeness. Thanks for the upgrades! more

Very highly recommended 3/7/2011

I have lived in a group fox building for 2 years now, and I find the service both friendly and helpful. The management seemed more than willing to assist me, and I never experienced issues with bugs of any kind. Overall my experience with Group Fox apartments was extremely positive, and they provided me with a gym, security, a party room, dry cleaner, and even a guest suite my parents stayed in to visit. I would recommend this place to other people. more

I've been a Resident with Group Fox for over 4 Years.... Nothing but Praise! Seriously, everyone in the office is really cool and helpful and have always shown a very personal approach to any of my concerns (rare that they are). GREAT!!! 3/1/2011

I'd consider Group Fox a gem of a landlord. I've lived in Chicago for almost 6 years now (as a grown-up paying my own rent at least) and have had 4 landlords. Group Fox definitely stands out as one of the best. The 401 W. Fullerton Building is well maintained, staffed by friendly, helpful people and has lovely apartments. Some are remodeled and some aren't but all of them are very attractive. They provide free online rent paying services. They have on site maintenance where you can submit a request online, in person or over the phone. The leasing office is in the building and is always available to help. I know this sounds like I probably work for Group Fox or something, but seriously I'm just a happy resident. This is the first apartment I've ever had in Chicago where I really WANT to renew my lease. more
