Buying a new car at Gresham Toyota was the BEST car-buying experience I've ever had. They were helpful, not pushy. I was not ready to buy the first time I visited Gresham Toyota. They took my information and stayed in touch with me at an appropriate level - not excessive, not overbearing - just enough to let me know they hadn't forgotten me. Mark, Dan, Ted, and Jeff are the best! I will absolutely recommend them and will go to them for service and future purchases! more

I was blown away! 10/28/2011

I found Gresham Toyota by chance after being turned down for financing by my bank. I moved here recently and have no credit history on top of having no down payment, so I was (obviously) having a really hard time buying a car. Tom Van approached us as we were looking at their used cars and suggested that we look at the financial possibilities first and go from there. He took my credit application and came back within a few minutes, stating that I may be better off looking at a new car because of all of the incentives and rebates. I saved money for being a college graduate on top of another rebate for a 2011 Corolla. We did some test drives while Ted Rippee worked his magic with the numbers. Previous to this, the lowest interest rate I had been offered at other dealerships was 15%. Ted got me financed through Toyota at 5.14%, AND a few days ago I got a notice in the mail that said my interest rate had been misquoted (I pooped a brick when I realized what that could entail). My updated interest rate is...dun dun dun... 3.39%. I can't make this stuff up! I've been to a ton of dealerships in the past month or so. I've been preached to from the back seat during a test drive (Atlas Motors). I've waited literally hours for the verdict of a credit application (only to later find that they called over 6 banks, pummeling my credit score in the process) -(Dick Hannah, Vancouver). I've been pressured to buy a car that wouldn't start initially (Atlas). I've been offered a payment that was double what I said I could afford. I've been scoffed at by a skinny kid whose suit was too big when I said I didn't want an old domestic car (Can't remember the name of that place). So, on top of the most genuine, honest, absolutely pressure-free service you could imagine, I got an incredible deal on a new car I thought I wouldn't be able to afford until I was 30. If you're in the market for a car, PLEASE do yourself a favor and go to Gresham Toyota. Ask for Tom Van because he is awesome and takes a lot of the scariness out of buying a new car. He is super warm, unpretentious, and genuinely friendly. more

Great experience 9/30/2011

I knew i wanted a toyota tacoma. I went into Gresham toyota on 9-19-11 and was greated by Tom Van. I told him i wanted to buy a pickup. He showed me some Tacoma's with access cab. He gave me a Brochure of the 2011 Tacoma's. Two day's later i called and asked for Tom Van she told me he wasent on so she tranfered me to Heather she told me Tom was on vacation but she would have a salesman on his team take care of me. So i went in and they got Kay Caldwell for me. I told him i wanted to order a Regular cab white 4x4. They gave me a higher tradin on my 1974 Toyota than i expected. I had went on line and got Blue Book price for 1974 in excellent condition mine was in good condition. I think i got a very good deal on my 2011 Tacoma!!! I will recommend Gresham Toyota to anyone wishing to buy a new or used car or truck .Everone was so nice. It was a hassel free experience. Thank you Tom Van, Kay Caldwell Heather and the rest of the staff that helped me!!! more

Not a Horrible Experience After All 9/30/2011

First of all I'd like to start off that I would rather have a fork stuck in my eye other than to buy a car from a dealership. With that said...I would like to say that it wasn't all that bad. Kay Caldwell was an excellent no pressure salesman. I test drove several cars and ended up buying one from there. more

Gresham Toyota off burnside has excellent service. We walked in knowing what we wanted and knowing we needed it quick. Jim Lane helped us right away hassle free without any unwanted sales man tatics. It was a hassle free experience and so far has been the best experience that we have had at a new car dealership. He got us a great deal and helped us with all of our questions on the vehical. we love our new 2011 tundra and cant wait to go back to show it off when we are done building it. We got such a good deal on our car and had such a hassle free experience we are very pleased with their customer service and expecially with salesman Jim Lane. more

Very Shady 8/18/2011

If it wasn't for the fact that they happen to have the car that I wanted, I wouldn't have every bought from them...instead I bought in spite of Gresham Toyota. They had a car I wanted for sale for $13,500. I asked if they could come down to $12,500, and the salesman said they could do $12,800. I asked them once again to consider $12,500 and after speaking with his manager, they came back at $13,000. So, I asked unbelievingly if they were not going to even honor the $12,800 they had already quoted. They said no and stayed firm. Some people may call that good negotiating on their part, but going back on your word for $200 extra, I call that unethical. Then, I left a $500 deposit so they would hold the car until the next day. A week after I purchased the vehicle, I was checking my credit card account and, low and behold, the $500 charge was still there. If it wasn't for me catching it, they would have never said anything. I like my new car. Gresham Toyota, not so much. more

Best Car Buying Experience Ever! 8/5/2011

After finding a van I was interested online I visited Gresham Toyota nervous about having to talk to a salesman. Mark with the red hat greeted us shortly after arriving and immediately put my nerves at ease. Talking with him was like talking with a family member. Never once did he pressure us. The overall car-buying experience was exceptional right up to the end when Jose helped us find the best possible financing. I would recommend Gresham Toyota to anyone and look forward to visiting them when our van needs to be serviced. more

Best new car buying experience 8/1/2011

This is the second new car I purchased from Gresham Toyota. Both times it was a very pleasant experience. There never was any pressure to purchase either the car or any additional options that I did not want. They worked to find the model with the options I wanted and at the price stated up front. I would purchase my next car from them and recommend them to anybody in the market for a new Toyota. more

Simply The Best !!! 7/7/2011

First off, I have to say it was a very easy experience, and a pleasure to do business with Gresham Toyota. Dan and Joe were very easy going with zero sales pressure. I found a used Tundra on the internet that I was interested in. I had a ball park figure to spend and we discussed a price over the phone before I test drove it. I scheduled an after work test drive and when I showed up the truck was in the front ready to be inspected and driven. I found this to be very time efficient and a great way to show case the vehicle. Dan and I went on a test drive, and I really liked the truck. I expressed that I wanted the truck and excepted the pre-negotiated price. I did the closing paper work with Joe and he was able to get me an even lower APR than what my credit union originally offered! It was just that simple. Fast, efficient, Zero B.S. I highly recommend this dealership, and will buy my next Toyota here! more

Best Car Buying Experience I have ever had 6/21/2011

I was driving by and saw truck. I thought it was the truck I would buy. It wasn't. I never got pressured to buy the wrong vehicle for me. A few days later, I was back on the lot. I saw a truck, I knew I would never be able to drive off the lot as my truck. My sales person Ken, was awesome to work with. I worked with Jose to finalize the financial aspect of the deal I don't think I have ever had such a pleasant experience at a car dealership. THANK YOU KEN and JOSE! more

Great 5/5/2011

When looking on the internet for a good used pickup I found a 1993 Ford Ranger at the Own-A-Car lot in Salem. I checked the CarFax which was provide by the dealer and found it to be just what I was looking for. I then checked the KBB to find the recommend value for the vehicle. Knowing that Own-A-Car was affiliated with Gresham Toyota I decided to contact Kay Caldwell with whom I had already purchased a vehicle from and found him a pleasure to do business with. I negotiated a price with Kay and asked if the pickup could be delivered to their lot here in Gresham to which he replied ?yes?. The following day I meet with Kay and examined the Ford Ranger and found it to be as represented. Kay then introduced me to Jose Escandon, who took care of the financial portion of the deal. Both Kay and Jose were very professional and a pleasure to do business with. The only negative commit I can make is that with the previous purchase and this purchase they sent me on the road with an empty gas tank. more

Outstanding 5/1/2011

We purchased a new car from Gresham Toyota. The salesman was the best. No pressure what so ever, a complete gentleman and very knowledgeable. We looked at several cars before making up our minds and he was not only patient but very helpful. The price was good and the entire experience was very easy and comfortable. All employees were friendly, helpful and polite. This is the second new car we bought from Gresham Toyota. They have always taken good care of us through the purchase, maintenance, and anything we needed. more

Gresham Toyota / Gresham Scion very deceitful 4/13/2011

Ok, so, I have never written a review before but I thought this was important for everyone to know. On Friday 04/08/11 I visited Gresham Toyota in search for a scion xb for my wife. at first, all went well and then we sat down to talk business. first off they appraised my vehicle (which has full maintenance logs and in pristine condition) at fair condition when I asked why they said I had a tranny bearing out which significantly lowered the value. At the time I agreed to just see the rest of the numbers and they were as fallowed my 10 day payoff for my trade in was 7385.00 (between good and excellent with kbb) they were giving me 5175 (KBB fair). the xb was going for 13795 and they would not go down even a dollar due to a ""NO BARGAIN POLICY"". Before I left we agreed that we were 1000.00 over what i wanted our new loan to be which was 14500.00. I left that day and had a certified ford mechanic look at my veh. they said there was no way to access a tranny bearing without pulling the tranny. they did a full inspection of my veh including tranny and said the veh was fine with no mechanical issues. more

Gresham Toyota of Oregon made my car buying experience the easiest I have every experienced. Bruce Douglas was great! I initially contact him by email regarding a 2004 Volvo XC90 series on their lot. He was quick to respond, provided me with all the information on the vehicle prior to my arrival, and was friendly when I stopped by the dealership. I did not get the usual high pressure sales that I have experienced at other car dealerships where the salesperson constantly contacts me after I leave the lot. Bruce was very low pressure and made sure I had all the information I needed on the car to make a decision. The entire staff was superb! I would recommend Gresham Toyota to anyone looking for a quality new or used car - they sell their cars with kindness not high pressure sales. Thank you for the great car buying experience. I admire honest dealerships like this who take the time to listen to people- well, customers for that matter??.. But when I went to Gresham Toyota, Gregg heard me out and knew I was a serious buyer, got me what I wanted and kept me a happy customer.
