Mixed experience 3/21/2014

My experience with Green Van Lines was a little inconsistent. I hired them for a huge move from Texas to New Jersey. The pick-up was great. There were about four movers who packed all of my belongings well and were very efficient with time. They were very mannerly and professional. However, the delivery was a little rough. I found that some items were missing (little things like the legs for my sofa, a lampshade, etc.) and were delivered to the wrong place. Otherwise, it was a pretty good delivery. The driver who delivered my items charged me an additional fee for walking more than 100 feet and I was a little surprised by the hidden charge. I was surprised that there was only one mover to move my belongings in when there were a few more to help me move out. more

Expeditious 3/19/2014

Green Van Lines were on time both arriving and getting down to my location in Florida. They showed up when they said they would and did everything they said they'd do. They were also very polite. more

Irresponsible 2/27/2014

Most irresponsible team. These guys will use all big words until they get the contract after that forget everything. I have called 2 week in advance and give the delivery date. for 1 week I wait, but no update. for 5 days I am continuously calling them every day, the answer is we will call you back, I will check with my manager, but never ever they will update. Now I have to shift into my new apartment in 2 days and they not ever started from their ware house. It is 5F temp here. I have to buy all new beds/ utencils for my family to survive. Will never ever recommend these guys to anyone. more

Very happy with the service. 2/24/2014

We found Green Van Lines after a competitor ended up breaking up a couple of our items during a slow 4 month move. My wife and I were downsizing from our home into a temporary apartment and the company we used during the first part of the move was not up to our standards and satisfaction. Cost not being an issue, I looked online for a reputable company that would take care of our items. I was very, very happy when I found Green Van Lines. The movers were excellent with all of our valuables. We were moving artwork and a large $7,000 TV. Anything we mentioned as a focal point they would take extra care to make sure everything was packaged well and delivered safely. Everything worked out and they exceeded my expectations. We're gonna have to move again at the end of the year and if they're in the area I'd use them again. more

Overall is was fine... 2/21/2014

Green van lines recently moved me. They were on time and professional. An onsite appraisal of the cost was done and they stuck to the cost that they originally quoted me. The guys who came to pack my stuff were spectacular. They wrapped my stuff up very neatly. What I was not thrilled with were the people who did the actual delivery. They could not figure out how to put my bed together and ended up accidentally taking some of my hardware. There were legs to certain pieces of my furniture that they could not find. We had to dig around and look for them. All of my stuff arrived safely and they did not damage anything. It is not like some of these nightmare stories that you hear about with other moving companies. I was also not charged add on fees. Overall, everything was fine. more

Green Van Lines did multiple drop-offs for me during the move. They also disconnected and reconnected my washer and dryer, as well as dismounted the TV from the wall for me. The fact that they really went beyond what other companies would do is why I'm rating them so highly. Compared to other moving companies, they were more competitively priced and offered more services for no additional cost. For example, other companies wouldn't take the TV down or install the appliances. They did all of that with absolutely no questions asked, and they were really good at it. They actually offered me a four-man crew for an additional cost of only $11/hour. That was much better than any of the other companies I checked out. Another thing I really liked was they they will offer you these special containers to transport your clothes from the closet. Once again, this is offered at no extra cost whatsoever. Being able to hang all of our clothes in there saved me a lot of trouble. more

Each time I have called Ken, my customer service representative at Green Van Lines, he has been very helpful. He has always answered my questions patiently and without leaving me wondering about things. I am still waiting to get the last of my stuff, but it is expected at the end of the month. more

My friend recommended this company to me to help move the big furnitures. The service was excellent. All the movers were very friendly and highly efficient. They were very polite and friendly. All my things were wrapped in protective padding and I was surprised at how fast they worked.They treated everything with respect absolutely nothing broke and they even managed to move my huge furnitures without any problems. i was really worried about damages but they were so careful everything got moved without any damages. I thought it was excellent value for money. I will use them again if I ever need in the future and can recommend multi movers highly! more

I was moving my apartment 3 weeks ago, lots of heavy stuff to carry up and down the stairs computers, fax machine, printers, etc. All got done very smoothly, nothing damaged, nothing missing. Also, very reasonably priced I thought. Highly recommended. It was great moved with professional. I definitely would use them again! Thank you for everything, you made our move fairly easy more
