Grease Monkey

I have been using this center for over 15 years servicing six of my cars. They have been nothing but professional and courteous. Both Pat and his manager Randy are local guys who both went to North High and are extremely active in the community. I know both of them from church, little league, and the YMCA. It’s nice doing business with people you know personally and whom you can trust implicitly.\r \r When servicing my vehicles I noticed they take pride in doing what is only necessary to keep my vehicles running properly. It’s no wonder they have won so many awards for customer service by their company. I understand that they are among the top five Grease Monkey stores in the entire country! I guess you don’t achieve that distinction unless doing something right.\r \r I work for a large corporation who does an inordinate amount of training for customer service. I didn’t realize how good Pat and Randy’s reputation was until I was in one of my companies training sessions. The trainer specifically mentioned Pat and Randy and their Grease Monkey center as an example of what true “excellent customer service” in our community. He recommended that we visited their Grease Monkey as part of his customer service lesson. \r \r I send my own wife and kids there to have their car serviced there, so why would I go anywhere else? I highly recommend this center for any car service!\r more

Do not get any service work done at this location. I did twice and the work was not done correctly. the first time I had front pads installed on my 99 Olds Alero and they did not install the anti rattle clips after taking it back to get corrected I was told that they though that they could get away without installing them. I did understand that because I have done that before. But they charged me the same amount (over $200.00) to install the clips so a simple brake job cost over $400.00\r \r This year one of my belts broke and they were the nearest auto service location it took over 4 hours to replace two belts (I tried to tell them that the belts were just replaced 8 months ago) after they replaced the belts I started to get a squealing noise. The next day i took the car back and was told by the owner it was the Idler Pulley I told Pat I had that replaced in October also. He told me that he could have it checked the next day but it would cost $45.00 to see where the noise was coming from and they will spray the pulley with WD40 and if the sound would go away it's the pulley. \r \r I went to the mechanic that did the original repairs and he told me that he had the same issue and had to call the Chrysler Dealership parts department. The fix was to use OEM belts \r \r I filed a complant with his headquaters and was told by his regional manager that since he (Pat) owned that franchise that is nothing that he could do baut talk to him, and that he could not make him do anything. I posted on Angie's list about the service that I receive there and they contacted him and the did not get a reply back. I also contacted the BBB and he would not answer them either so AGAIN DO NOT GET ANYTHING DONE THERE BUT AN OIL CHANGE more

Grease Monkey in Hagerstown, MD lost my business, and I have never been so negatively treated the way I have from this business (from the owner Pat not the manager). Pat was unable to provide me ANY info on my car such as who specificially worked on my car or where they purchased the parts from, as they stated ""there is no need fo us to keep that kind of info."" Grease Monkey tried to cover up a mistake they made and refuses to discuss the issue, throwing personal attacks at me before hanging up. Kind of ironic with their massive sign out front saying ""See you at Church on Sunday"" and their Bibles laying out for the customers who are waiting. Do not take your car there!!!!! more
