This restaurant is the largest chinese in the city. It offers superb cuisine for a table of two. The dim sum features some unique dishes not found elsewhere in Atlanta, and the set menus for dinner (especially during special events such as Chinese New Year) are the best deal in town. The seafood is very fresh and the chefs are all Pan Asian trained. This place is a Atlanta landmark. The food is excellent, the menu is huge, an array of delicious dishes. The service is exquisite and the decor beautiful (old style). The food is extremely fresh and represents authentic Cantonese style. I visit about once a week..it's that good! I'm pretty picky but this place blew me away! The interior was beautiful and the prices were cheap. Good place to take a date on a budget. I had some nice soup, coconut w/shrimp, I could see actual lemon pulp in it, the shrimp tasted like it was freshly caught and delivered and even the spicy chile inside was fresh, not those dried shriveled ones I see in all the other asian food I order. I felt like I couldn't get better, it was as good as being invited into someone's home for an authentic dinner. I can't wait to try more! The only kicker was parking... they have a large lot that they share with several other businesses, I went during lunch rush hour though, might be different during dinner and I noticed that they deliver too. This is one of my favorite places to wind down on a Friday night. The varied pan asian menu provides something for everyone, from soup to sushi. And although the food is casual and uncomplicated, it's still absolutely delicious. But the best thing about GC is the drinks. With cheeky names and fruity flavors, you can't go wrong with any of their concoctions. A great, lively , and nicely designed restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was awesome. Sure it's not NY or San Francisco but for me the food at Grand China is the best in Atlanta! I worked and ate in Chinatown in NYC for many years and I know many different kinds of Chinese food from Szechuan to Hong Kong and the food at Grand China is authentic and on the mark. Only place you can get a great selection Dim Sum every day. Don't miss Grand Chinal's Sauteed String Beans, Chicken with Black Bean Sauce and Beef with Chinese Broccoli. Have eaten at Grand China many times. The dim sum is very authentic and fresh. I lived in Asia for ten years and my Husband is Chinese. Grand China is by far the best in Atlanta Georgia. My opinion this a very good Chinese restaurant in the Atlanta Buckhead area. I have been several times to Grand China and you can find real chinese taste in the food and ambience. When I walked into the Grand China, I instantly had a good vibe from the atmosphere and staff. The service was fantastic because you can tell that they have been very well trained. Now onto the food... The best chinese food I have ever had! I have been to several other take-out/ dine in restaurants in search of one that put quality into their food. I ordered the Seafood Delight, coming with tender, full shrimp with delicious scallops and crabmeat, sauteed veggies. I would strongly recommend this joint. Pls do not tell me that this is the best chinese restaurant. Food that served to me looks like can dog food, and the service was rude. I just paid my bill and go to berger king for my dinner instead. Please do not believe their rating. Cons: Food, service and the ambience more

Moved from NYC, have to say this is best Chinese we have found in Atlanta. The owner is wonderful and always makes you feel at home. Egg Drop soup is to-die-for...excellent sesame chicken. Believe me...we are picky as all hell...if I say this is the best Chinese...it is. Pros: food, hospitality Cons: no cons more

just had a business lunch there and I must say the food was excellant! a great place to meet people especially for business meetings, I was surprised with the huge bar selection and the types of wine on offer. I will recommend Grand China to all my friends. Theres not my place to eat that have been open since the early 70s that must say something. more

Oo! ok well my class went and like it was tottaly fun and yummy! the food was really good!! i also liked the thailanese food they had!! ( aka padthai!) anyways but they also have awsome ice cream.... The service is a 6 star if possible, the food was awesome! I really recommend this place if you want true chinese cuisines....... If you haven't been here you missing out! THE BEST IN THE CITY!!!! The service, atmosphere and food are great! The flavors are amazing and very authentic Chinese cuisine for a fair price, especially in buckhead. They also have free delivery which is nice. I have been twice already in the past month and would highly suggest it to anyone who is seeking good Chinese cuisine and service! Pros: Amazing food with many options and fair prices Cons: Nothing! more

Grand China Restaurant has been serving authentic Asian cuisine since 1978. The menu has now expanded beyond traditional Cantonese food to include Pan Asian selections. With over 250 items on the menu, you will find delicious Japanese, Thai and Chinese dishes in addition to Vietnamese and Malay appetizers.
