I can not say enough great things about this Bridal shop! My mother and I went without an appointment (Which they prefer you do) But they made me feel as if I was the most important thing to them. Since then I bought my bridal gown at an amazing price and I'm having my bridesmaids order through them as well. They are offering my girls 10% off just because I bought my dress through them. I absolutely love Rita and Gretchen. I was nervous about this part of planning my wedding but these two ladies have made it an experience I won't forget! I highly recommend this shop! more

Glitz Bridal is a locally-owned store in Bellevue. I had my second bridal appointment ever, at this salon, and I was immediately treated like family. The staff is amazing to work with, kind and honest. \r \r I HIGHLY recommend Gretchen and Ann, as they were absolutely WONDERFUL! more

I made 4 appointments to look for wedding dresses in the Nashville area. Glitz was my first stop and I ended up canceling all of my other appointments! They couldn't have made me feel like more of a princess. They were not only helpful but fun and compassionate too! Love them! more

Royal Treatment by Rita With less than two weeks to go, I set out frantically to find a dress?.3pm on Saturday I call the Glitz. Rita answers and hears the urgency in my voice when she answers my ?what time do you close?? question. Rita asked what type of gown I was looking for and we had a conversation about size, style and appropriateness for the event in which I am attending. Rita talked with me on the phone while choosing dresses for me to try on once I arrived. 3:40 pm Saturday, I walked into the Glitz and gasped when I looked at the selection she had waiting in a dressing room for me. There it was! The perfect evening gown in Royal Blue! The fit was perfect; a RARE find! Closing time had passed when I finished the purchase, yet Rita was kind enough to share thoughts on accessories and possible heels. Thanks to Rita I now have a gown for this ?Royal? event ? one in which my date stated was ?ELEGANT??the very word I wanted to hear?.I am so thankful for Rita?s kindness; it felt like she was a friend for years and am only sad she won?t be there to help me get ready for my important night. more

I guess you just need to decide what you are looking for in a gown-shopping experience:\r \r If you want sip champagne serenely while looking at a catalogue of $10K dresses and playing the grand piano, then you need to go somewhere else. \r \r If you are looking to find *the* dress efficiently and affordably, then go to Glitz. They have a huge selection, can order anything you like, and even though it is a hectic disaster inside, they seem to know exactly where everything is and will be. \r \r They have a fair number of teens working for them but they also have some more experienced sales women who seem to love what they do and are good at it!. (Rita in particular is truly HILARIOUS and she was so great about delicate issues like ordering teeny tiny bridesmaid dresses in a plus size) \r \r Bottom line: If your goal is to have the high-brow, well-lit, white-bread experience, go ahead and go somewhere else....then pack it up and haul it over to Glitz to find what you really need: a beautiful dress! \r more

They will arrive this summer and another review will be posted at that time.\r \r Last month, I went bridal gown shopping for the first time. We began our day at a nation-wide, super-mega bridal store which will remain nameless (hint: it rhymes with Mavid's Tridal). After that exhausing morning, we traveled across town to Glitz. My sister happened to purchase her wedding dress here several years ago. A very knowledgeable and supportive young woman assisted us (plus, she never made me feel like a cow nor did she crowd my space like Mavid's Tridal associates). While I found a dress I loved, we had already scheduled a trip to Atlanta for more gown shopping. I ended up finding ""the dress"" on that trip. However, I still love the Glitz dress.\r \r Nevertheless, I was determined to give Glitz some business! Last weekend, I took my bridesmaids to find their dresses. We had such a good time working with Rita - she's hilarious! The girls found their dresses and Rita spent a lot of time with us (taking measurements, matching fabrics, discussing the pros and cons of fiber-enriched yogurts, etc.). We couldn't have asked for better service with a smile. \r \r If you prefer the stuffy, snobby, invasive staff at other bridal retailers, Glitz is not the place for you. However, if personable, down-to-earth, pleasant salespeople are your cup of tea, Glitz should be your first stop. Most importantly (for all you brides out there), it was a stress-free experience. more

I ordered my bridesmaids dresses through Glitz. Worst mistake ever! am so glad I did not get my wedding dress here. They are extremely unorganized and half of the employees do not know what's going on. They do have a great dress selection but terrible service. more

My daughter and I were shopping for a prom dress for her senior prom. \r \r Neither of us are fans of shopping, and tend to lose patience when visiting stores that are packed. We'd already made about 6 trips shopping this year, and hadn't found THE dress yet... She had a picture in her mind of what she wanted, found several online she liked, but no one in town had them in stock. Also, most of the other places had NO ONE willing to even help us look for dresses. It felt like we were supposed to search through thousands of dresses alone, and wait over an hour for a dressing room at those places.\r \r We only had a few hours today, but I was determined we were going to find one she liked. We walked into Glitz and found a couple hanging she thought she'd like to try, and one of the girls offered to start a fitting room for us. After selecting 3-4 dresses to try, my daughter started trying them on. One of the staff (Sherri) asked if we had someone helping us and I told her not yet, so she immediately came to help us. She ended up spending about 2 hours with us, and convinced my daughter to try on multiple dresses that she wouldn't have considered at my suggestion. \r \r We found a dress my daughter REALLY liked, in the color she was looking for. Style was quite different from what she'd planned, as it was somewhat similar to last year's style. But when she put it on, her eyes lit up and I knew it was the one.\r \r With Sherri's help, we had a great day and were able to get a dress we love, at a reasonable price. Glitz may not look like ""the place to shop"" for a great dress, but if you want some individualized attention I highly recommend it! more

Experience: I was going to Glitz to look for my bridal gown. This was my third time looking for dresses and I was determined to buy my dress. We walked in and were greeted by an extremely nice younger girl! She asked details about my big day and what I was looking for in a dress. She pulled some beautiful dresses and I felt like I could walk away with one. We put a downpayment on ""THE"" dress and had to come back and get measured. We returned only to be greeted by an older lady with a horrible attitude (I think her name was Anne). She looked at the paperwork and her exact words were ""Sweetie, you are not a size 4...maybe a 6"" I wear a size 2 in jeans.... I felt completely disrespected and wanted to turn around and walk out. She made me get back in the dress and I ended up measuring a 4 in it. She was RUDE the whole time. You think she could've been nice, I was buying a $2,000 dress from her...needless to say my bridesmaids will not be getting there dresses here.\r \r I would not recommend this place for the bridal experience!\r \r try the white room in murfreesboro they were extremely sweet and GREAT customer service! \r \r \r Appearance: First and foremost this place needs a MAJOR face lift. Don't get me wrong they have great dresses but the inside and outside need some work... it kind of looks sketchy from the outside.\r \r \r overall: HORRIBLE-RUDE customer service... pretty dresses but not a huge selection.\r \r white room is WAY better.\r \r more

As a new bride-to-be, it wasn't hard for me to become quickly overwhelmed with all the planning and craziness that comes with a wedding. The word ""elopement"" popped into mine & my fiance's head several times over the first few weeks :) \r I decided I needed to do something fun and go find ""The Dress"" with my mom & my sister. I quickly nixed the idea of the more widely known bridal stores. I've been to them countless times for other people's weddings and it was always a stressful experience, I felt like I was on an assembly line. I was always shoved in a dressing room with 50+ girls and it made me nervous with all the loudness and pushy employees.\r I walked into Glitz Bridal and I immediately felt a wave of relief! It was a beautiful little salon with a very friendly staff and lots of unique dresses for amazingly low prices. I was one of the only brides there and I felt like I could truly enjoy the day trying on dresses instead of rushing to get out of there. It was a perfect day and I found the perfect dress! I strongly recommend going to Glitz for a one-of-a-kind bridal experience! :) \r ps: If you're hungry beforehand, go to Lemongrass restaurant down the street. They have amazing Thai food and fantastic cocktails :) more

The staff at Glitz Bridal were all so sweet and helpful! Ashley was helping me find dresses and she was just so great! Very honest and helpful! I found 3 dresses that I really liked, but one that I loved! As soon as I put dress #1 on I knew it was the one and didn't need to try another thing on! I plan on going back to get my veil and I'm sending my bridesmaids there to get their dresses!! I was so happy with my experience at the store!! Ask for Ashley, she's amazing!! more

i first went to Glitz out on a limb 2 years ago looking for a christmas formal gown & found the perfect one then. since then i have bought 3 more dresses for prom & other formals, etc. i've always had amazing service & Mrs. Ann & her staff are amazing & give you their own opinions & don't try to just sell you the product. They help you in every possible way! I've been to many dress stores & you don't get the one-on-one time with those dress stores as you do at Glitz!\r \r Recently, my sister & I both were nominated & elected to the football homecoming court at our highschool so you know what that means....more dresses! \r Glitz was the first place we went to, & of course we both found our dream dresses! They stayed way over closing time just to be convient to us, because we live about an hour away from the store, & it is hard for us to get there until 5 or so, & they never complained about it!\r I don't know about you, but i'm a lifeguard & when people stay over, i get very agitated & they didn't one bit.\r \r The best thing Mrs. Ann did was give us a reasonable deal for both dresses which was very releiving to my mother! i would recommend Glitz to anyone because the service is always amazing, & they are very easy to deal with! We will definitely be going back! more

My experience at Glitz Bridal is one I will not forget. The Salon and Staff participated in Brides Across America in support of our troops. My Fiancee is currently serving in Afghanistan and we have just had a new baby 8wks ago. Finances are not the greatest for a wedding. With their participation and genorisity, I was able to recieve a donated beautiful wedding gown with the help of the nicest down to earth people!! They were so helpful and assisted me in everything I needed. A very special Thank you goes out to each and every staff member there. They should be applauded for their help and genorisity. Overall, I had a good experience with Glitz Bridal. There was some confusion over the agreed upon price and the location/delivery of bridesmaid dresses, but Ann's staff could not have been sweeter during my many visits, more accomodating whenever I dropped in or called, or more reasonable when I found the dress for cheaper at another store in-town (she matched the price). Pros: Reasonable Prices, Sweet Staff, Large Inventory Cons: Limited Modern Styles, Unorganized at times more

Ann the owner helped me look for my wedding dress and within 30 minutes I had found the perfect Allure gown! She also had the bridesmaid dresses I wanted at HALF the price of another bridal store! I would recommend this be the only place you go in Nashville for Bridal or Prom dresses! Pros: Variety, Selection, Perfect Service, Down to earth people more

I went to several places trying to find the perfect evening gown for a banquet that I was attending in LA. I went to Glitz finally. Not only did I have very good service, they worked very hard to get me what I wanted and needed. I had a sort of low price range, but they still found me a gorgeous dress that I got swarmed with compliments at the banquet. They were very nice to me, and I had no appointment. When I told them I needed a dress to specifically match a necklace it was no problem for them to help me find something! Not one person while I was in LA said my dress had shoddy alterations done or that it looked bad. I definitely thank the entirety of the staff that I met at Glitz for all their help, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for any type of special occasion gown. The reviews on here are very misleading I think too. Considering you need to remember during certain times of the year yes they will be busy so yes they might get a little agitated. And if you're rude to them, expect the same treatment anywhere you go. Good luck!! Definitely try and go here!! more

I did not have an appointment, but had emailed the store before they opened 6 hours before going. Upon walking in and receiving a dirty look the older woman behind the counter said ""can we help you?"" in a rude, agitated voice.\r \r I explained that I had written an email and before finishing what I was saying, the older woman interrupted me and said ""we've been very busy."" I continued to ask if they had the dress I was looking for. The woman said she didn't recognize the name and said it must be a few years old. It's in the upcoming spring collection- her crappy store just didn't have it yet.\r \r I wanted to look at birdcage veils and facinators, however the facinators were ugly and there were no birdcage veils.\r \r I already bought my dress at THE WHITE ROOM, which I would recommend highly to anyone. The staff at Glitz makes you feel like you are beneath them and an invconvenience. DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS AT GLITZ. I had an awesome experience at Glitz Bridal! Ann was so very helpful and did everything she could to help me get the dress of my dreams. Unfortunately, I ordered my dress from another local shop that closed their doors leaving me and a lot of brides without dresses. I called Ann in a panic and she had my bridesmaids dresses rerouted to Glitz by the end of the week and my dress came in the next week. I wish I had ordered from Glitz to start with but feel so lucky to have found someone who was so helpful just 6 weeks before my wedding. I would, without a doubt, send any bride, anyone looking for prom dresses or for any formal event to Glitz Bridal. They have a great selection of anything you would need for a wedding or formal event plus they are the nicest people to work with! Don't waste your time going to other shops...just go to Glitz!! Ann and Ashley are awesome and I appreciate their help more than they could ever know!!! Thanks to them I have the dress of my dreams!!! Pros: They went above and beyond to get my dress!!! more

This was the worst experience I've ever had in a wedding. My friend chose Glitz because she knew the owner, ANN, who is extremely rude P.S. My friend had 5 bridesmaids..all of which have really busy lives. I talked with Ann several times, she was pressed for time and needed my measurements. Very abrasive in the way she handled me when I told her I couldn't get by there for measurements, but I would send her a rough estimate. Now I don't now my exact measurements, because I was a few months pregnant at the time..and growing. What I do know is that I've always been a size 10. Just to be safe I asked her to order me a size 14, and I would have it altered. She refused to order the size that I wanted, and insisted we go by my estimate measurements I had done by myself at home..which she said made me a size 22!!! I have never been a size 22 or anywhere near in my life! I tried to talk with her about this, and she was amazingly RUDE, just short of cussing I told her to order the dress(only because my friend the bride had enough stress)..and sure enough she ordered a size 22. When it came in not only did I pay too much for the dress, but the alterations which had to try to take the dress down 10 sizes!! Were more than the dress cost itself! I was not the only one who had this problem..ALL the other bridesmaids dresses were extremely to big as well. My dress never looked the same as the other girls, I had to wear a tank top under it during the wedding, and now I'm stuck with this unflattering dress that doesn't fit. Thanks, ANN..great customer service. Who cares if you ordered the dress a size 14 and it didn 't fit..it would still have been my responsibility to pay for the dress. I knew what size I was, clearly someone has ruined it for us all and now she can't trust people to tell her their correct size. I am getting married in December and wouldn't dream of using this company for my girls.
