Showed up in a very NARROW trailer, pulled by a pickup truck....instead of the usual moving truck. They only got about 60-70$ of our stuff. We had already moved 95 of our boxes, so there was only furniture left to move. They shrink wrapped way more than they needed to, and took quite a while loading. We were told we couldn't help load/unload or it would void their guarantee (but I wished had went ahead and helped because it took a LONG time with just 2 guys!) Live and learn. more

After having dealt with a couple of Apartment Movers within the past 3 years and another move coming up, we looked online and saw several moving companies listed. After reading the reviews from people regarding Glenda Smith, I called and booked an appointment for them to handle this move. Im glad I made the call. She and her crew showed up exactly on time, walked me through the house listing all the items to be moved and proceeded to professionally wrap and move the items in accordance to value and size for placement in the trailer. For once, I was able to relax and didnt feel like I had to look over their shoulder. Glendas crew knew what they were doing and there was not a single incident with having to repair the corners of the walls or furniture. I would highly recommend them to anyone thats had their fill of hiring a moving company and then regretting their decision. I've been forgetting to write this review but finally popped into my head and had a chance to do it. I don't usually write reviews since I'm so busy BUT I had to let everyone know how much I was completely and unusually satisfied with this service. So hard to find good service and Glenda's moving company is one of the rare ones left. They all exceeded my expectations in every way from the way they package, to how organized they are during the move, and how efficient they were. It was a tight schedule but they exceeded my expectations like I said. Use them on your next move if you want it done RIGHT! more

Glenda helped me move from a third floor apartment to a second floor apartment. I had been burglarized and I needed to move in a pinch. Glenda was very helpful. Her mother was in the hospital at that time and she still took the time to help. She made this a very good experience. more

We moved literally around the corner from a 2400 sq ft, single story house to a 3000 sq ft, 2 story house. Virtually everything they were to move was in a box that had a colored label on it (to indicate which floor in the new house the box was to be taken) and the name of the room was written on this label. In the new house there was a sign indicating the floor colors and each room had a label showing the name of the room. It took this moving company 3 days to move us 2/10 of a mile and she charged us $3000! Toward the end of the 2nd day, one of the workers hurt his back so badly that he was vomiting but Glenda Smith insisted that he keep working until we intervened. I would highly suggest that no one ever use her company again. RESPONSE FROM Glenda Smith Movers: Scott, I apologize you feel unsatisfied with your experience. We went out of our way to accommodate your last minute change in schedule, and I was upfront with Stacy about the time and how difficult it might be due to the schedule change. As I explained, all my trucks were already booked long distance & we would have to use our 20 ft, fully-enclosed, and very nice trailer to make several trips. When we arrived & I viewed everything, I stated it was going to take 2 days & maybe more. I always make sure my customers know exactly what to expect. That is why I am surprised to see this review. Any move with 425 plus items is never a small move nor a small price! Also, I appreciate the concern you show for one of my movers, but I assure you I would never allow an injured member of my team to continue with a move. That is the reason we left early on Saturday. I care for my movers like family. Finally, after 2 attempts, I hope you will please allow us to pick up the rest of our equipment: 3 flat dollies, mattress covers, 1 full roll of shrink, bungee cords, tape, 5 heavy duty quilts. We had a situation that was difficult as far as our apartment was not quite ready. Glenda Smith Movers went with the flow, and they were able to work around it so they could still be moving us instead of just sitting around with clock time ticking off. Basically the carpet had just been cleaned minutes before we got there, so all the boxes were being taken into a wet apartment. They did the very best they could under the circumstances and I was very impressed. I highly recommend them. more

Glenda Smith Movers was really good. They were very accommodating. I purchased furniture in a different city than I live in and needed it moved from their to my residence. They were flexible and worked around my schedule. The movers were very clean and respectful. They were concerned about my carpet. They went the extra mile to make sure they did not track anything into my house. more
