Love that they offer payment plans!! Guaranteed approval!! I had my exam and was worked in for my cleaning and treatment, due to my limited time off of work. I also had my teeth whitened in the office. It only took 1 hour! I love my new smile!! The fact that I can make payments made it easier to start my treatment the same day! Dr. Patel and Dr. Rosen seem very knowledgable! That was important to me. Their Treatment Counselors were very helpful with getting my payment plan set up....Can't rave enough! more

I got burned twice before i realized how bad they were. Read my story and learn. I got my braces done there 5 years ago. I had too many teeth and require some extractions. They told me the one tooth that they will keep and that tooth required root canal ( costed me 900 dollars out of pocket to save that tooth). After some extractions done, they said the tooth that i just tried to save with a root canal service will need to be extract again. I was like, WTF. You told me last month to save that tooth, i already spent the money and now you said it has to go? Ok, i was mad but wasn't smart enough to go get a second opinion.\r \r Four years later, I keep going to them as a loyal customer with regular cleaning. They told me last year ( Dr. Patel , the indian guy) that my 2 silver filled teeth require crowning and one of my tooth on the upper jaw required filling. They showed me the treatment plan costed total of 1100 dollars and they said the cost without insurance was 4000 dollars. I procrastinated as that was alot of money so i didn't do any fixing last year. Last month, oct 2011, they keep pushing me about getting those fixings done. I felt like i was being pressure about doing this. Also, my insurance Metlife denied to pay for one of my deep clean section. I asked why? they said they only covered 2 deep cleaning in on calender year but Monarch kept telling me to come back every 3 month so that 4 time a year. I have to pay like 150 each time. Monarch knew all the way that my insurance only covered 2 times per calendar year. I later find out from my new dentist that i only need regular cleaning twice a year. What a rip off here trying to make money out of me.\r \r So all these issues add up, i decided to go to a different dentist. Dr. B. Reder based on her rating online in West of Mckinney area. Without telling her why i am there for, I asked her to do a whole mouth xray and tell me what need to be fix. Surprisingly, she said only one minor filling on a different tooth rather than the 3 that monarch suggested. I asked Dentist Reber about those 3 teeth, she said they are in good shape for at least 5 more year. No sign of crack or damage as Dr. Patel kept telling me a year ago. Monarch saw that i have about 1200 dollars on my insurance coverage for this year that i haven't spend and it is almost end of the year so they force me to fix some teeth that not neccessary. I was very generous to give the Monarch ONE star. \r \r So i decided to change my dentist. I called Monarch to cancel my future appointment. I asked to talk to the Manager. They kept putting on hold and NO ONE want to listen to story when i told them that I stopped going there for dental care. They know that i found out how bad they were and if you have money to burn, then go there. I hope this help many of you out there. Always have second opinion before you decide. I would never go to Monarch Dental. They charged me 1/2 again as much as the negotiated price with my insurance company. Their staff crammed the xray slide in my mouth which was very sore. Every single time I went in they had latex gloves on and it was in my chart not to use them. I would go home with my mouth swollen from it. I had to go back 5 times to get the crown adjusted as it was right. more

I have such a fear of the dentist and this has kept me away for so long. I heard such bad things about monarch but I was in such pain so I gave mckinney and 75 a try. Dr. Rosen was so helpful and he didnt beat around the bush about what had to be done. He explained every detail of why the treatment needed to be started and called me that night to see how I was doing. That surprised me to say the least. I am now out of pain and he even gave me his cell phone. I am still afraid of the dentist but I now will only go back to him for further dental care. Thanks Dr. Rosen more

I have been at McKinney Monarch for past several years and we were lucky enough to have Roya to clean and examine us. She truly cares for my family and I and always shows a great deal of professionalism. Most dental offices treat you like an assembly line but not this office...I always feel like the people are caring and supportive.\r \r Not sure I would still be at the office if it wasn't for Roya but we won't leave while she is working there!\r \r Pros: Caring dental professionals Cons: Billing is inconsistent a little slow more

I feel so bad for the people writing reviews that wasted thousands of dollars,and I'd be willing to bet if you had your insurance review it, they would find a lot of discrepancies. Make sure you compare your bill to what was billed to the insurance. Dr Rosen filled 7 of my husbands cavities, and charged and extra $67 for each one for a ""liner"" that totaled $469. My brother in law is a dentist, and when he looked at it said that any liners used in cavities in included in the charge to the insurance. The office and dentist were very unhelpful when I tried to tell them this, and when I got my insurance bill, they hadn't put the same things to the insurance that was on my bill. I didn't get anything out of them until I threatened to have my insurance review it, then they agreed to give the money back, but I had my insurance review it anyway, and guess what?? They were fraudulent charges. Cons: everything more

I have had horrible experiences with all of the monarch dental offices until I went to this one. Dr. Rosen is the only dentist I found who really cares what happens to his pts. he has excellent bedside manner and actually calls his patients. at night. He appears to be an excellent dentist but we will see how long his crown lasts. I have not had good luck at the other office at mckinney custer. I was shocked when I saw how much a cleaning was but after terries explanation and Dr. Rosens video, I went ahead with the cleaning. They surprised me when they mentioned alzheimers and a connection with periodontal disease but I have researched the internet and they were right. I and my family will give monarch a chance and I will now tell my friends who also had bad experiences at monach\r anonymous more

I'm starting a new job and wanted to see a dentist closer to home. I walked into Monarch just to ask a few questions. I stood between the 2 receptionists and waited to be noticed. One was with a customer the other was talking on her cell phone. When the first finished with her customer she asked me if I wanted orthodontics or general. When I told her general she pointed to the other receptionist. I waited about 2 minutes until she was finished with her cell phone conversation. My first thought was, "Does this office use cell phones instead of land lines?" After noticing the phone on the desk I realized that she was just practicing very poor customer service skills...personal phone call...at the front desk???? I walked out and decided I'll look else where. I hope someone from Monarch reads these. more

HORRIBLE....I'm surprised these "dentists" are even allowed to practice. And the dental assistants act like high school dropouts....sorry, but I call it like it is. I was once forgotten about & left sitting in the chair all numbed up...and the Dentist was leaving the office!! Then, the had to do a Root canal & Crown...my 1st. It has had to be replaced 2 times, & the porcelean is completely coming off again. I would rather pay out of pocket if this is the only place your insurance will cover. OR complain to your insurance...nobody should have to endure this very under "par" treatment. And YES..,,I'm out $2K plus! Thanks Monarch! :O more

I was so impressed by Monarch Dental Mckinney!!! I was surprised at first that I wasn't scheduled to have my teeth cleaned on the first vist, but after the Dr. and staff explained to me that i might need more than a ""regular cleaning"" i felt better. They took the time to explain to me that 3 out of 4 adults have some form of gum disease! They did my full exam and ""measured my pockets"". Then they sent in their Office Manager to explain my dental insurance and ""out of pocket"" to me. I feel like this is the best dental experience I have ever had and i highly recommend them to everyone. I did need deep scaling and root planning done and it wasn't painful! They even offer interest free financing! Pros: very kind and caring doctors Cons: it takes a long time to get in for your first appointment more

Oh my gosh - I had the same experience as the other person giving reviews!! I spent over $3,000.00 and still haven't gotten my teeth cleaned! I thought that was supposed to be the 1st thing done at a dentist, not the last. I also thought the dentist was a little rude and impatient with my children. I have a 13 and 11 year old and he acted like he wanted nothing to do with treating them. I got my work done a year and a half ago and 2 of my fillings have already come out and 2 of my teeth have just cracked in half! ( and I am not a yuck-mouth - I take care of my teeth) more

The McKinney Monarch Dental office is a very good dental practice. The doctors are very thorough, they have an excellent office manager who is great with customer service, and a friendly, well-trained staff. Their orthodontic team does excellent work and takes great care of their patients. It is a very clean and pleasant office that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. more

They said I needed over $2K worth of work done on my teeth. I got two other opinions and NEITHER of the other dentists thought I needed a single thing done to my teeth. I tried to request my xrays from them and 2 months later, and 2 phone calls later, I am still waiting. I don't recommend them. The office is clean and the staff is friendly, but it's not worth it to pay for work that you don't need to have done.\r \r Also, I waited a VERY long time in the waiting room AND in the chair. Pros: Clean, nice waiting area, staff is nice the first time you go Cons: Charge for services that aren't needed, they use scare tactics more

If you want your teeth cleaned, this isn't the place to go. Took 9 months with a huge ordeal just to get a cleaning. However, if you have a couple of thousand $$ of work, you can be seen the next week! Friendly staff with a hospital feel that is scary for kids. If you're not making them a lot of money, be prepared to wait, just a high gross business. Overall not impressed. more
