I can't give a negative rating?How about a -10.They sue me for 30.00 and my neighbor has not paid dues in 20 years and he never mows the grass. The back yard is as tall as I am. They don't even know he exist. These people are thieves. Pay me 10.00 a month x 200 homes and I will mow the grass. And oh I almost forgot I will plant 10 plants at the entrance. Give me a break. Where's the news crews? more

Pay your money and expect nothing in return 10/6/2010

The accounting department has double paid bills, pays any bill that comes across their desk whether legitimate or not, and the financial statements continually have errors. I have always paid all my dues and assessments on time yet twice they have told me I owed them $300, until I spend 30 minutes on the phone with them telling them exactly what check number I paid with the date they cashed it and so on. Where do you make an accounting error where $300 gets lost and how many times a year does $300 disappear? To top it all off our property manager is an idiot. It says on their website that the property manager will ""Inspect all repairs to be sure they are satisfactory before disbursing Association funds"" he's never inspected anything except the all-you-can eat buffet line. We had a lock installed on a pool gate, the company was paid $300 to install it, the first time the gate slammed, the lock bound up due to improper installation. The company came back to fix it, and charged us $75 more dollars, I suggested asking for a refund and he never would. A tree fell, and he asked the board for approval to have it removed said it would be under $1000. A board member asked if it was definitely on our property, he said ""I don't think there is any doubt"" one of our board members walked outside and there were two easily seen property markers showing the tree wasn't on our property. He would have gladly paid $1000 of our money for the property next door to have their tree cleaned up. We were planning to switch lawn contracts, but he went ahead and paid the old company $800 in January and February for work they would never do in the spring, summer and fall, and the same company had overcharged us $300 on the price they quoted us for mulching our property. I suggested asking for a refund just for the $800, he said we weren't due a refund. I asked a lawyer I know if we were due a refund, he looked at the contract and said definitely. I told our property manger this, and the stupid, fat man responded with a childish, disrespectful email about getting my ""legal team"" to sue for the money. So I'm paying him to write me disrespectful emails, if I wasn't in Iraq I would have gone to his office and seen how disrespectful he wanted to be to my face. I called Scott Ghertner about this, and one of the last things he said is (we had already sent them a cancellation letter) you all won't be with us next year, I guess meaning he's not worried about our satisfaction anymore if he ever was. I'm so glad we will have a new management company next year and be done dealing with these incompetent idiots. more

CARELESS, HORRIBLE 5/24/2010

My husband and I were not even in our home a month and received a non compliance letter concerning our satellite dish. According to Ghertner, it was in the front yard-when actually it was on the side toward the backyard. There are PLENTY of other homes with their dishes on the roof of their houses!! OK no problem-we moved it back. Now there are a few neighbors who keep their cars parked on the street all day/all night and on the corner curb. Other cars can barely drive down the street. I was told by Henry at Ghertner that since the street is ""public property"" there is really nothing that can be done. Rules are rules policy is policy-if I have to follow them then others should too. This company sucks! Stay away! Cons: refuse to uphold policy more

INCOMPENTENT 5/9/2010

EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They are very rude. They tried to fine me for my yard not being cut. Guess what??? It was the empty lot next door that GHERTNER AND COMPANY IS RESPONSBILE FOR MAINTAINING THAT WAS OVERGROWN!!!! Pros: Take your money regularly! Cons: Alienates your customers! more

THIS SO CALLED PROPERTY MNGT COMPANY HAS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOR BUISNESS ETHICS,LIARS,AND UNRESPONSIVE. THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY AND ARE NOT INTERESTED IN MAINTAINING YOUR PROPERTY OR YOUR COMMUNITY. I LOVE MY COMMUNITY BUT WOULD NEVER BUY AGAIN IF I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM OR ANY OTHER HOA...THEY HAVE TOTALLY TURNED ME OFF TO FUTURE HOA WHICH MAY BE BETTER BUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM HAS BEEN SO NEGATIVE I'M SCOURNED!!!! Extremely Poor Customer Relations! 7/28/2008

Ghertner is the management company who oversees our condo association. The staff if extremely rude. They more than likely will never respond to your questions, requests or comments. They do not maintain the property as outlined in the bylaws. SInce they have taken over our association, our fees have more than doubled and the maintenance on the property has declined. Worst service provider 9/21/2007

Ghertner and Co does not work to help their customers. The staff is rude and will blatently talk down to the customers. They are not helpful is working to resolve issues. Am moving due to their incompetencies as a company. more
