Gerry Ray's Roofing was really good. One thing that I thought was great was that they showed up early. I liked that. It seems simple, but he actually did what he said they would do. It is actually hard to find that in a contractor. They did all the work they said with no problems and no shortcuts. They did a good job, and the price stayed the same. Gerry Ray's Roofing tore off the old roof and installed a new one. Gerry helped me pick out the colors and showed me the website where I could do that. He was really flexible. He actually came back after he finished because I had wanted to do some painting before a couple of last things. It was simple and easy to deal with him. He made a contract and fulfilled it. more

This company did an excellent job on a complete tear off and replacement of the roof on my house. They showed up when they said they would; they were very respectful of my property; they did excellent work & really paid attention to detail AND they cleaned up everything when they were done. I would highly recommend them & I will use them again (for my garage roof). more

AAA Gerry Ray's Roofing did good work. They are really pleasant and easy to work with as far as the bid and the process goes. They had all the knowledge of the business and good information about different shingles. They didn't just tell me, they also had brochures that showed all the different products they have. As far as the actual work it was really good workmanship. It was all done very nicely. The only thing was that it took them far longer than it should have. That was partly because he lost a bunch of people off the crew that week. They were working on a building where it didn't matter that it took so long, but most buildings I have done are apartments, and they need to be done quickly. I just happened to have another company who did 3 apartment roofs in less time it took AAA Gerry Ray's to do the one. However, if you want someone who knows their business, knows how to do it right, and does a good job, they have that. more

AAA Gerry Ray's Roofing was excellent. We had a roof done on my mother's home in order to get it ready to sell. He even assisted in choosing the color of the roof and what kind of roof we should get. I didn't know what to do, so I appreciated the help. He recommended a roof color that I hadn't thought of and wouldn't have considered. It was a perfect match for the brick. He was very attentive. I can't say enough about him, and I would definitely recommend his company. Gerry Ray was polite, called to tell me when he was going to be there, and showed up when he said. When the job was completed, I got another phone call to make sure everything was fine. The property was all cleaned up when they were done, even cleaned beyond the mess that they created. I have never had a new roof before, and I thought it worked out pretty well with AAA Gerry Ray's Roofing. I didn't have any problem with their work at all. I did have a little help because my brother was in town at the time. He thought they worked really well. We just had a really good experience with them as our contractor. The roof looks really good; it looks nice. The one I had before was getting pretty bad. The roof looks really good, and I am very pleased with it. They seem to be really honest people at AAA Gerry Ray's Roofing, and they are very easy to work with. Everyone involved was very helpful in explaining things whenever there were questions to ask. If I had another roof to do I would call them first. more

They did a great job on the roof. The night they took the old roof off it poured down rain, so I was frustrated that they chose a day when it had a likely chance of rain. There was water in the house, but everything ended up fine, there was no real damage. There was one door that expanded, and didn't fit in the frame. They said they would take care of it. I still haven't heard anything from them, so I'm going to have someone else take care of it. The salesman who came out to look over the damage seemed like he didn't want to take responsibility. I had to get it out of him that they would fix it, and I haven't heard anything about it. At this point I would just rather have someone else do it than deal with him. RESPONSE FROM AAA Gerry Ray's Roofing: Todd, When we started the tear off process we were suprized to find an extra layer of roofing, which added alot of extra time to the tear off. We had planned on having half of the roof replaced by dark. Due to there being no eaves on the house, the rain water ran down the fascia behind the gutters and due to the paint bubbling and cracking on the house above the windows, the rain water was absorbed into the siding. We thoroughly inspected for water dammage on three seperate occassions, finding no damage. We disagree that the door started sticking recently. The tenant had admitted to me that door had been that way since they moved in. It rains continually in Washington, looking back on this project I should of had the crew tarp the roof over the felt paper. We are glad you love the looks of your new roof. Gerry more

Gerry Ray's Roofing came out and gave an estimate. They were very professional and easy to talk to with any of the questions we had. If the foreman didn't have the answer right away he would get back to us in a timely manner. The guys doing the roof were all very professional about their jobs. The new roof looks great; we are very pleased with it. They were very willing to explain everything to us and were able to fill any roofing needs. We were very pleased with the experience. more

1. Get an estimate. Agree to work. As they are tearing off the roof I am told there is a $500 dollar cost overrun due to a wrong estimate on plywood. I end up paying $500 more. 2. Metal flashing is agreed on for the entire roof. They get done and leave. I see flashing is missing on front of the house. I call them and am told they were short of flashing and they did not buy more. I would not recommend to others. RESPONSE FROM AAA Gerry Ray's Roofing: 9/15/2010 Dear Gary H, In response to your review I would first like to apologize. I always try to do my best to take care of my customers concerns. I realize it was our misunderstanding on the plywood. On the day we arrived to start tearing off your shake roof, I had showed up on the jobsite with enough 1/2" OSB plywood to sheet in your roof. When I came to realize that you were expecting CDX 1/2" plywood, I informed you of the cost difference being around $500. I told you I would go ahead and eat the added plywood cost. You then told me you would," take me at my word," and that you would cover the added expense. We installed a beautiful 30 Year Certainteed roof that we completed in two days, just as we had been contracted to do. Gary, please contact me so we can get these issues resolved. I am a contract administrator for a general contractor here in Washington, and I have heard many horror stories, especially about roofer. However, my experience with Gerry Ray's Roofing has been stellar from day one. They quickly tore off the entire roof. They were clean, tidy, and extremely professional. I have since told everyone about them. The job included a complete removal of the existing roof and some plywood repair. I was not there on site to oversee the work, but I called while they were on the roof imspecting it, and I felt reassured. They did a fantastic job and the price was incredible. And his foreman was very personable. I wish every contractor was as stellar as him. I have worked in construction for the past 30 years, and I have had bad experiences in my dealings with roofers. I asked Gerry to take care of me, and he did. And I know if I had a problem he would come right back and take care of it. Excellent! more

They did an incredible job on the roof. I climbed up and took a peek, and I was thrilled with it.
